  1. Happy Cooper Pratt MLB Debut day to all who celebrate
  2. LFG. So exciting. Been waiting all season for this Luis Rengifo, it’s been real
  3. Very curious what they do in this situation. Trade him this offseason to get value back or let him walk in FA after 2027 and get a comp pick assuming he gets paid big bucks? Since as of now I’m 90% sure they won’t extend him. Idk if a salary floor implemented in the CBA makes it more likely or not they extend him, maybe. Also curious what they do with Vaughn next year, assuming he will get between $8-10 mil in arbitration. One year left before unrestricted FA. Bauers likely leaving in FA for a payday at this rate. Do they trade Vaughn this offseason with his value getting higher or do they keep him and pay him one more year before FA? A plethora of new 1B options coming up in AAA/AA as well.
  4. Same as I’ll be at the game Sunday however Sounds twitter already confirmed he’s with the team in Nashville still
  5. Fingers crossed he was called up. I’ve been patient enough
  6. Nah. Team is winning and Mitchell is playing well. Sal playing well lately but seasons stats worse than Mitchell. Mitchell’s ceiling is higher than Sal and he at least shows some power. Mitchell or Frelick could be traded this offseason if they want to sell high on Mitchell if he stays healthy and produces but highly doubt they make a trade of one of those 2 in season and mess with the current teams mojo. Sal’s value is low rn anyways. Lara will likely only be called up soon in case of injury. Lockridge replaces Perkins soon as 4th/5th OF and Bauers will continue to get some spot OF starts to keep him in the lineup. think most likely way to get Lara involved without an injury is to cut Sal’s playing time and make him the 4th OF playing only vs RHP if he doesn’t start hitting more. But they will give Sal some leash still after last year’s performance and Murphy and management love him.
  7. It’s gotta be any day now. Same with Adamczewski
  8. Passan says Lara will remain at AAA for the time being
  9. Assume he’s added to the 40 man as soon as this is finalized so Perkins era might finally be over or, maybe just cut Akil Baddoo
  10. Wow, big news, and means he won’t be in any trade packages this July. Your CF of the future .
  11. Hope my boy Tate Kuehner gets the call up today. I wanted to see him this year but not cause of a million LHP injuries. The only other LHP in AAA are Koenig (still rehabbing), Drew Rom, and Mark Manfredi who was just recently called up to AAA. could see it being Rom though since he’s already been working out of the pen
  12. Shame cause before that knee injury last year he was leading the ENTIRE minor leagues across all levels in HRs with 17-18 in 50 games or so. I bet he’d be better if he repeated AAA next year but not sure MIL wants to be patient anymore considering he’d have to take up a 40 man spot next year.
  13. Shame if so but I’d get it, big Brocket Launcher fan but he’s gotta get those #s up. In the midst of his 31 game on base streak I thought he was turning a corner after he started the season I think 1-31 but now cooled off again. I believe Lara, Jett, Wilken, L. Adams and maybe a few others (Kuehner? Wichrowski?) all have to be added to the 40 man by this winter to avoid rule 5 eligibility, so could see Wilken and/or Adams as a trade throw in next month which would suck for me as a fan of them but I could see it. Depends what their plan at 1B is next year (if there is a season). Bauers might be working towards being paid too much by someone who’s not the Brewers this offseason, Vaughn will cost around $9-10 mil in his final arb year next season before FA. Then you still have Tyler Black who probably doesn’t have a future but has a small chance at being the Bauers replacement LHB 1B 2027 platooner. Unlikely due to his lack of power though. Blake Burke also getting closer to the MLB. Some decisions will have to be made.
  14. I’d be all in on that MLB Network package of Lara/Jett/Letson for Skubal if that’s what it took. Not having to include any of Made/Pena/Pratt/Fischer would be great. They’ll have other OFers really popping on the scene soon and some already are (Adamczewski, Payne, Frias, Encarnacion, Antunez, Ragsdale, etc). In terms of the OF outlook: You already have Chourio locked down into the 2030s. Sal and Mitchell could be on their way out after this year if they keep playing bad but I could stomach giving Sal another chance next year. Lockridge could be flipped as part of a trade if he does well to end the year otherwise can bring him back as 5th OFer. Mitchell especially if he does well to end the year is an easy sell high trade candidate since his body is always a ticking time bomb. Otherwise still a decent 3rd/4th OFer option next year. Hypothetically Lara should take Mitchell’s CF starting spot for opening day next year but I’m still fine trading Lara for Skubal. Also if this lockout does happen, they have the 2026 and 2027 drafts (assuming there’s still a draft then?) in the downtime if they want to replace Jett and Lara with a few college OFers ready to debut maybe already in 2028. Adamczewski and Payne should be ready to debut in 2028 after a lockout. So even if you trade Lara and Jett, OF depth shouldn’t be any issue.
  15. Why hasn’t Brock Wilken been in the Sounds lineup for 4-5 days? Cant find anything on it
