  1. As a 7 seed we are locked in @Philly and then @Det/Min winner. Plus, if we do beat Eagles we are probably doing a big favor for one of our hated rivals who get a surprise home game in division round and an easy path to NFCC. As a 6 seed we could possibly avoid Eagles entirely. It is what it is but hard for me to see sliding to 7 as anything but bad for our chances.
  2. One thing about 0-5 is it is embarrassing and should motivate them. I don't feel great about winning in Philly at all, I think they are the best team, but get past them and it will feel like we have as good a chance as anyone. But that is still only 25% chance to get out of NFC.
  3. It's mostly an overreaction to a disappointing loss. Just last week we were all talking about how everyone was afraid to play us. Jaire being likely done has tempered my enthusiasm, but I still think we have a shot this year.
  4. The NFl does the division winner home game thing to spread around the home playoff revenue and to have the games played in different regions. If they just did it by seeding you could see the same teams getting the home playoff games every year. There is so much parity in the NFL that I think it would be fine to stop it and maybe go to 8 team divisions but with only 1 team getting a bye not much reason for that anymore. We just have to put up with the South divisions sucking forever I guess.
  5. Yep, I wouldn't call it house money like last year but happy to get a week of playoff football for the Pack. Just get out of the wildcard round and you have a shot.
  6. We don't have one, you just have to hope Love gets hot and we put it together in the playoffs. I know other disagree but I think this is more likely if we face the Rams in round one than Philly.
  7. I just think if you feel you are a favorite for SB you would rather not face a team that scouted you twice a year already, all else being equal. There are enough examples of good teams struggling against poor division rivals in regular season like Buffalo NE last week to make me think there is something to it. I guess that might be a more worthwhile look, are intra division games really any closer than other regular season games?
  8. It wasn't a myth 35% of the time. Add that those team were likely at home and favorites after sweeping the team and I stand by not wanting to see a division rival I swept again in postseason. I would guess we are talking about small sample size anyway.
  9. If I was a Viking or Lion fan I would want to see anyone but GB in postseason. Not because we are so good just the beat them 3 times thing.
  10. Same here, I sort of expected to lose today with the secondary so beat up and on the road but we got dominated until the last 10 minutes. Just not a consistent enough team for a run but what the hell, at least we get extra Packer football.
  11. I don't know man, the NFL is sort of built to have these "witching hour" comebacks to keep fans interested. We were beaten early in 4th quarter and never got the ball back with a chance.
  12. Vikings always have that magic in the regular season, but they pay for that karma in the post season
  13. In the old days when there were more successful onside kicks I often thought why not if you have to hold them 3 and out anyway. Now not so much..
  14. This line judge today seems to have his own rule book
  15. Giving up the TD after closing back within 10 in 3rd quarter pretty much ended the what if's for me.
  16. LOL Valentine losing that fumble would have topped this awful performance off.
  17. Love's awful showing is most concerning to me at the moment. Let's see if he can get it together.
  18. I am not excusing thus awful show by the Pack but I think Vikings are better than many give them credit for.
  19. But that has sort of been our Achilles heel all year. The good teams just wait for us to make mistakes.
  20. What in the hell is Love even thinking there? It's 3rd and 5 and the worst thing that can happen is giving Vikes back the ball.
  21. Every game against a good team pass rush can't get home.
  22. I was thinking about it last week when he turned down the TD to Watson for the easier throw on 4th down, I am not sure I trust Love's accuracy yet to be too aggressive.
  23. That drive was so easy I am not convinced at all it wouldn't be 7-0 if we failed. We need to make some adjustments on D for sure.
  24. Vikings get those plays all the time it seems, we rarely do. You would think with our running game we would.
  25. Yes, we don't really have the red zone passing game you would like to gamble from the 4. If that 3rd down play was Kraft might have got it in.
