  1. I didn't mean Davante was a similar player to watson, just that Watson's injury is why we are talking about Adams and Metcalf at all.
  2. I am a Davante fan for sure so that impacts my disappointment here. But Watson's injury makes WR a big need in my mind and I don't think Adams is declining yet. I am guessing the Packers share your concern about his age/price so it doesn't really matter. I just don't think we can count on fixing the WR issue in the draft. Godwin is coming off his second major injury and is 29, I don't see the Packers taking risk there either.
  3. I'm not, an NFC contender filled a huge hole and we are left hoping for another drop machine in MVS.
  4. The giants really seem like it would have to be a 2 year plan for Rodgers if he is after another SB. Maybe he brings Adams with and turns the offense around quick but it's still hard to see them being much more than a fringe playoff contender in 25. But Jets aren't much better and he was willing to stay there. Who knows, maybe he takes less money to go to the Vikes and is willing to battle for the starting job. It's not the worst decision he could make at this point.
  5. Fading to a 5 seed and 1st round loss seems more likely at this point.
  6. There is reporting now that Vikings may be interested in Rodgers if they can't sign Daniel Jones. That doesn't make much sense to me, I doubt Rodgers wants to compete with McCarthy for job and Jones seems like he would be signed as a backup. If the Vikings think they have a SB roster they should go with Rodgers for 25 but I still don't see it happening. Rodgers will have to play for Giants if he wants to continue. Oof.
  7. I think If New England dangles #38 and another pick it's not a stretch to think Buffalo might try to top it, Seattle could benefit from so many teams interested. A lot depends on how you view Metcalf I guess, is he just a rich man's Watson or an Odell/Moss type talent who will dominate with the right team? Maybe the Bills are in play for Adams but I suspect he will end up in GB or LA. Godwin is in a tier below Metcalf and Adams in my mind so if the Bills want to go all in on 25 DK may be their best move. I agree the Packers should stay out of a bidding war, I don't think I would trade #54 and Wicks for him but I am sure I would learn to like it if the Packers did.
  8. Buffalo may be desperate enough to give up #30 and maybe a mid round pick swap that will include their 3rd. Metcalf seems too boom or bust for my risk tolerance at that price but I am sure the Packers are waiting to see what the price actually is.
  9. Almost sure to join his brother in SF I would think.
  10. I saw Zierlein talking about Sanders on NFL network this morning. He said he thinks in a weak Qb year everyone just mocks him to QB needy teams and compared him to Malik Willis who was also mocked high in a weak QB year but dropped. I would be shocked if the Packers picked a short WR in 1st round. They already have Reed and prefer bigger guys outside in their offense.
  11. They could still use an OT I think but you could be right. Maybe they have their eye on moving up for one of the premier D players as well and wanted to make sure they improved on the oline first.
  12. It's nice to hear they will be active in FA again, especially after they knocked it out of the park last offseason. 6'6" 286 lbs, a big DE who has some pass rushing skills would certainly be a welcome addition.
  13. They have 2 picks in the top of the 2nd round so they are probably not too worried about giving up mid round picks to bolster the line. I have no idea but I think it is just as likely they move down in the 2nd if they want to get some picks back.
  14. I think a security blanket on 3rd and 4th down for Love and a legit red zone threat are the biggest things Adams would bring. Solving the red zone issues may be the Packers top offseason need. Adams may not take the top off the defense like a healthy Watson but he would draw plenty of coverage away from the other guys. Edit: Some morning googling tells me Packers are the betting favorite to land Davante FWIW
  15. You make it sound like we are talking about bringing in Adam Thielen 🙂. I don't think he has lost a step and as Cheezwizhead said he checks a lot of boxes for us. I would prefer him to DK if Metcalf would cost us a higher pick. The Packers need to step up though as he won't come cheap and the draw of the west coast may be tough. Jacobs recruiting him should help.
  16. There just isn't a ton of trade value in the NLF for high paid players who are not blue chippers. Agreed, no way we should give up a first for DK.
  17. He stays on the field and he his speed jumps out at you when he runs plays down from the backside. The upside is still there but Gary was rushing the passer way better his first couple of years. LVN needs to develop a pass rush move and soon.
  18. NVDIA continues to drop this week, I am guessing there is some profit taking just in case there is a not so great earnings report. Might be a bargain right now if it takes off again after tomorrow.
  19. This Rodgers to the Rams thing may have some life to it now that I see they are willing to let Stafford go. It sounds like they want to move on and Rodgers for a year is boom or bust and the bust could get them a high pick to get their new QB in 26. Plus, Adams is linked to all the west coast teams and Kupp on his way out. For Rodgers this is best case by far if he plays in 25.
  20. Portis suspended 25 games for violating substance policy. Tramadol, he says it was an accident.
  21. They don't get compensation with a transition tag, just the right to match the offer. I would love Higgins but I also think Davante would be a great pickup and he is reportedly interested in coming back. He hasn't lost a step from what I saw last year and would come cheaper than Higgins, at least talking guaranteed money. Love really needs a guy who can just get open when they need it and score in the red zone.
  22. It’s like trading Ray Allen for Gary Payton.
  23. Is Cooper the plan at MLB going forward? He had some coverage deficiencies for sure and is a bit undersized for MLB but seems like a player that is so good you have to keep him out there every play. If not, maybe a there is a vet MLB out there in FA. I think Gutes blew it not bringing one in last offseason with the scheme change. I don't want to count on Quay again.
  24. I think it's their best album. I have been revisiting them recently after dismissing them in the late 80's like a lot of my early favorite metal bands and think they are a bit underrated. They got sort of lumped in with hair metal as they had some commercial success at the time and Spinal Tap gave them a bad name but they are really more of a hard rock band than metal. The have their own sound, mostly because of Meine's vocals and Schenekers guitar style.
  25. I would say MLF realizing he needs help in game management is a positive. Most head coaches won't admit it and continue to make the same mistakes. A ST coach seems like a good guy to have in that role too.
