  1. You make it sound like we are talking about bringing in Adam Thielen 🙂. I don't think he has lost a step and as Cheezwizhead said he checks a lot of boxes for us. I would prefer him to DK if Metcalf would cost us a higher pick. The Packers need to step up though as he won't come cheap and the draw of the west coast may be tough. Jacobs recruiting him should help.
  2. There just isn't a ton of trade value in the NLF for high paid players who are not blue chippers. Agreed, no way we should give up a first for DK.
  3. He stays on the field and he his speed jumps out at you when he runs plays down from the backside. The upside is still there but Gary was rushing the passer way better his first couple of years. LVN needs to develop a pass rush move and soon.
  4. NVDIA continues to drop this week, I am guessing there is some profit taking just in case there is a not so great earnings report. Might be a bargain right now if it takes off again after tomorrow.
  5. This Rodgers to the Rams thing may have some life to it now that I see they are willing to let Stafford go. It sounds like they want to move on and Rodgers for a year is boom or bust and the bust could get them a high pick to get their new QB in 26. Plus, Adams is linked to all the west coast teams and Kupp on his way out. For Rodgers this is best case by far if he plays in 25.
  6. Portis suspended 25 games for violating substance policy. Tramadol, he says it was an accident.
  7. They don't get compensation with a transition tag, just the right to match the offer. I would love Higgins but I also think Davante would be a great pickup and he is reportedly interested in coming back. He hasn't lost a step from what I saw last year and would come cheaper than Higgins, at least talking guaranteed money. Love really needs a guy who can just get open when they need it and score in the red zone.
  8. It’s like trading Ray Allen for Gary Payton.
  9. Is Cooper the plan at MLB going forward? He had some coverage deficiencies for sure and is a bit undersized for MLB but seems like a player that is so good you have to keep him out there every play. If not, maybe a there is a vet MLB out there in FA. I think Gutes blew it not bringing one in last offseason with the scheme change. I don't want to count on Quay again.
  10. I think it's their best album. I have been revisiting them recently after dismissing them in the late 80's like a lot of my early favorite metal bands and think they are a bit underrated. They got sort of lumped in with hair metal as they had some commercial success at the time and Spinal Tap gave them a bad name but they are really more of a hard rock band than metal. The have their own sound, mostly because of Meine's vocals and Schenekers guitar style.
  11. I would say MLF realizing he needs help in game management is a positive. Most head coaches won't admit it and continue to make the same mistakes. A ST coach seems like a good guy to have in that role too.
  12. This is what separates the great head coaches. We all talk about analytics but making those calls takes more than just looking at the chart like MM does. It's knowing your team's and the opponent's strengths and the flow of the game to make those calls. I feel like it's getting harder with so much pressure to be aggressive. Someone else said it but if you are good like the Chiefs just play it safe and the other team will screw up eventually. We all know our division rivals figured this out playing the packer this season.
  13. Looks like a mild week here in La Crosse with sunny and 52 on Thursday in the forecast. We got a white christmas snow storm in December but then it rained and other than the occasional dusting still no snow here. By mid February we are on the downslope and then winter doesn't bother me much since I can see the end and it's warmer. Still would rather be in Florida...
  14. The Scorpions "Arizona" official music video.
  15. A Buffalo title would leave the Vikings all alone at 0-4 so there's that too. Packers are done, all I have left is hope for more misery for our rivals and it's been a good offseason so far.
  16. I can live with the Eagles as long as they beat KC. Buffalo would be my favorite, they were my second favorite team back when James Lofton was there and they are small market cold weather like the Pack. Just please god not the 3 peat 🤮
  17. The Lions are still very talented, I expect them to be a playoff team next year but I do agree they may have missed there shot these last 2 years. I expected Campbell's aggressive calls to do them in again but last night the OC blew it by first going empty backfield on 3rd and 1 when Gibbs when gashing them, then in typical Campbell disciple fashion goes to the trick plays one too many times. Goff was bad too, I am pulling for the Rams to get out of the NFC to rub more salt in the wounds for Detroit.
  18. In retrospect it has been apparent for a couple of months that the Lions season was headed for a defensive playoff collapse like this. They just kept winning so nobody believed it. A lot like the 2011 Packers.
  19. LMAO some unexpected happiness in this house tonight.🤣
  20. Figures the Chiefs will advance on a couple of missed kicks and ridiculous roughing calls on Texans who dared to breathe on Mahomes.
  21. I thought they let all the defensive coaches go last year but I see now Rebrovich was a carry over although not as DL coach.
  22. MM would have kept a bad DL coach for 5 years as long as Packers were making the playoffs. The packers are slow to change but it does feel like we are in a much different place than the run it back every year draft and develop TT/MM era.
  23. Oh man, we all knew this day would come but it still really hurts. 😢 RIP Bob thanks for the memories.
  24. I thought he was well respected as a DC and both Niners and Jets had good 4-3 defenses while he was there. Other than that I am not sure, I hear you about MLF's hiring his buds but that is problem all around the NFL.
  25. You could be right but as a young coach you have to strike while you're hot. If the wheels come off on the D next year, hardly unheard of in GB, no one wants him anymore.
