  1. And the Bears didn't get him. I have had enough offseason hype about how awesome a team barely off a 10 game losing streak is going to be this season.
  2. Jags got a couple of other picks back this year but a bad team giving up next year's first is always risky. Ask the Panthers. Steep price for 3 spots, not sure what the chart says.
  3. Sure, but that hasn't been their MO. Last year the reportedly wanted to move up but just wouldn't spend what it took. But who knows, maybe for the fans attending they take a big plunge tonight.
  4. I would be beyond stunned if the Packers traded out of the first round tonight. Murphy worked way too hard to get this in GB to crush the fans like that.
  5. If either Will Johnson or McMillan get to #23 I think there will be some celebrating here tonight. I just saw a mock where Johnson doesn't go in round 1 at all but I don't believe it. As always it would help if all the QB's with a shot get drafted above us but unlike last year's run it sounds like only Ward will go.
  6. I would agree CB is #1 need, as much I would love to believe Jaire is backup plan to draft I think that ship has sailed, he will probably be traded during this draft and we will be disappointed in return. WR is a very close second though in my mind, I do not think much of any of the guys after top 4 and that may only be top 2 without Doubs and Watson.
  7. Thanks to JosephC and all the others who share their draft research and insight here. I don't follow the draft that closely but can usually get up to speed just reading this forum in the weeks leading up. Can't wait until Thursday night.
  8. It's always been odd to me that they market the 'Frozen Tundra' so well but still build their teams like they play in a dome. They seem to make it work though.
  9. Who is the other guard we are in on? I am not sure who was on scholarship but I am counting 8 departures including 5 guards so it would seem we still have room for another even with Boyd.
  10. Probably not today but I imagine it is likely in the next week as there is more tariff retaliation. I have been trying to buy the dips for a couple of months but like BrewerFan said now it's probably not worth trying to guess where the bottom is. I am the guy who posted a couple of months ago when it was in the $120's that it was at a good buying point pre-earnings report 😡
  11. Looks like you will get your chance this morning. Of course, now it is wait and see where the bottom is...
  12. They are giving up way too many extra possessions.
  13. Can't hit a shot, same ending in the tourney every year.
  14. In both cases I thought maybe there was a whistle or maybe Crowl knew it was off the other guy? Weird, and awful start to this game.
  15. BYU may smoke us but I am just relieved we won't lose to an 11 or 12 seed like the last couple trips, I don't think I could stomach that again.
  16. I do think the Oline has improved quite a bit and it was above average last year. I am assuming Morgan will be just fine at RG considering his 1st round pick status. Jaire may surprise some by still being here, they won't get anything for him if teams believe he will be released and there is a good argument for keeping him if you can't trade him. WR and red zone offense is still my biggest worry, the end of the year showed me Love isn't ready to carry the team and needs a strong WR core. It's early, I agree with concerns about drafting athletes who won't provide immediate help but we had a solid draft class last year with only Morgan's shoulder bringing it down a bit. I really wish they would have found a way with Adams or Metcalf but there is still the draft. I don't get too wound up with our rival's acquisitions at this point, the wheels can come off pretty quickly for all teams and the Vikings in particular don't know they have a QB.
  17. Yes. I was reading it in the context of their consideration of Rodgers but Darnold only left last week so it probably was more relating to that. But I never believed for a second they were keeping Darnold since the playoff loss, that's probably why I hadn't considered it.
  18. Why would anyone believe the Vikings would look to trade McCarthy? That part of the story seems like something the Vikings threw in to make it sound like they are committed to him when it really isn't necessary.
  19. If true we know he is not worried about how it looks copying Favre. Vikings just traded for a backup RB Mason from the Niners so they are really going in on 25, do they really want to go in with only essentially a rookie at QB? Tough decision and they must be agonizing over it.
  20. Yes, maybe Rodgers has earned it but the media bashing seems way premature. The Steelers job only became an option over the weekend and there are reports they want a discount like Rodgers reportedly would have done for the Rams. Appalachia isn't Southern California and Rodgers just got dumped after taking a pay cut for the Jets. I don't think he will get the 45 million that has been suggested but it's hard to blame him for wanting starting NFL QB money if that is the holdup here.
  21. Rodgers probably loving that he is slightly more in demand than expected. I think he would rather not move and sign with the Giants but they might take a QB in draft. Vikings already drafted someone and won't just hand Rodgers the job. Steelers would be his best shot at a postseason run. The thing not talked about much is who would pay him the most money and that may be the holdup now.
  22. With more teams having cap room these days free agency becomes more of a roster churn every year. Packers let Jones and Runyon go, sign Xavier and Jacobs. Myers and Slaton, Banks and Hobbs. We give up on some of our draft picks and bring in players other teams gave up on. I have faith Gutes gets the better of these deals but I think Hobbs is a bit of a head scratcher too. It's like they were just determined to get a CB and he was plan D.
  23. The NFL sure knows how to keep us interested all year.
  24. It's in Pitt....bummer.
  25. I was sort of surprised the Steelers made the Metcalf move without a QB in place. If true very good for Rodgers.
