  1. I don’t know why they like Ballantine so much, he was pretty bad last season I was surprised he made the team.
  2. I haven’t watched them yet but I going with the belief he is still not that good. Pass rush has to get to him though, he takes sacks.
  3. Yeah, but it’s the NFL, next man up and you adjust. We probably overrate the impact of guys being hurt in the NFL. Of course it had to be against Jefferson.
  4. Sounds like Jaire likely out. I was wondering why there wasn’t any bragging about shutting down Jefferson this week.
  5. So Giants get called for a face mask when it was clear on replay that it actually a cowboy grabbing the facemask. Killed a Giant drive but Greg Joseph bailed them out. Then Cowboys score a TD that everyone assumed was called back by offensive holding but flag was picked up due to “replay assist”. Where the hell was replay assist on the facemask?
  6. Really impressive win, can’t remember the DL taking over like that since the days of Reggie. What a job by Gutes getting Willis, huge dividends right away for just a 7th round pick.
  7. Yeah but it was a tough call, I thought they should have tried to get the first down but all options were equal.
  8. It looked like a Dillon run
  9. Defense gave the gift we got right back. You know we will be sweating this out.
  10. Never really got near Levis other than the non sack.
  11. Love out. Hopefully Malik has some Majik in him against his old team. Go Pack!
  12. I think the bettors and most people believe the Packers will play it safe in a road AFC game that they could maybe even win without him. It’s about 40/60 in my mind , the way he is moving around in the clips we see in practice makes me think he may just be most of the way back. i sort of expect the Titans to bounce back here, they are not that bad and will put up a fight not to go 0-3. Same with the Colts vs Bears.
  13. Why can't Wilson play MLB? Yes, I was just suggesting him as a possibility because of his play last week but I am curious why he would not be a fit there. I am sure it is not his best position but that seems to be a problem for this whole position group and someone has to play it. I think we had George Koonce and an old Hardy Nickerson in our 90's 4-3 heyday, neither were great players. Sometimes you just need to plug in savvy vets to fix a glaring weakness. Packers.com depth chart lists Hopper as the backup at MLB but I don't think his pass defense is there yet. It's a new scheme, I am not giving up on Walker but we all seem to be in agreement he is a better fit at will. Maybe you are right and Cooper is the eventual plan.
  14. What will happen is Walker will get hurt and miss a few games and whoever the Packers plug in there (Wilson?) will do better. NFL teams give first round pick long leashes and this may be a case where drafting athletes over guys who are just good football players burns the packers a bit. We all knew Quay wasn't a good fit in the middle of the 4-3 when we switched but they haven't really done much to address it and drafted a similar player in Cooper.
  15. Sweet! Sort of weird clinching in the afternoon before a night game but I don’t have Bally anyway so would miss the post game fun. Cmon Brewers let’s win the whole damn thing for Ueck!
  16. I remember the night of that draft some here were really scratching their heads about how a QB that size could go #1. Especially considering what the Panthers gave up. Still puzzled about how an NFL franchise could blow it like that. Maybe he still pans out but it's going to take Carolina a few years to dig out from this.
  17. Gary wasn’t in much in second half, maybe just the heat but I wonder if he was injured. Much needed win, Willis played well hopefully they open up the playbook for him next week.
  18. Offense may be done for the day. Defense needs to close this one out.
  19. Read somewhere that they are targeting week 5 for Love return. We really need to win this one.
  20. Man, we had them on the ropes. Hopefully we can continue to gash them in the heat and they wear down but have to think they adjust.
  21. Reading MLF's comments I do think there is a chance this week. Love must be feeling better for them to be considering it. The extra 2 days might be the difference if it is really not that bad of a sprain. Sure, I get keeping the Colts guessing but if I was to bet I would say he will be back by the Titans game now.
  22. I am guessing it will be on the longer side considering Love had to be helped to the locker room and how MLF and some of the players responded to questions last night. I think they will go with Willis/Clifford and try to ride Jacobs and hope the defense can step up. We started 3-6 last year so I don't think the season is over but it's a tough break for sure. But who knows, maybe Love feels better today and the extra couple of days are all he needs to get back for Indy.
  23. Just remembered Rodgers got hurt in London on the games last play, sending 2022 season into death spiral. I have had my fill of the international games.
  24. Our recent history when needing to play the backup hasn't been good. But the 17 game season and expanded playoffs can be forgiving. We would need to win one of those for sure.
  25. Interesting that Kraft seems to have passed Musgrave and Enegbare got more snaps that LVN. We had a great draft last year but top 2 guys not stepping up in year 2 as you would hope they would.
