  1. Civale’s last start was Saturday so he could be plugged in at anytime. Probably gets Wilson’s start on this Saturday?
  2. Brewers probably get 3 guys, whether Turang or Megill is 3rd one depends on how roster falls I think.
  3. If he is a longer term project wouldn't you rather have the 1st round rights on him than get him at #33? I just read Kolek likely the first pick off the board in 2nd round so maybe not a lot of hope for Bucks there.
  4. I hadn't looked in a while but Burnes really having a nice year. Finally getting the wins and his ERA is 5th best in MLB. His K rate is down again and his bWAR is lowest among the top 10 ERA pitchers though. Still, well on his way to an offseason megadeal. Very happy with Joey obviously. 🙂
  5. McIlroy was 496/496 on putts inside of 3 ft before the miss on 16. Then he follows it with a 4 ft miss on 18 and loses by a stroke. wow
  6. Yeli has been saving #200 for the Reds, right?
  7. Watson for sure has #1 potential and really has played like it when completely healthy. He isn't as effective at 80-90% coming back from the hammy's though which compounds the missed games. Doubs did seem to plateau after his rookie year but did come on late season and in the playoffs so there may still be some upside. I think Watson and Doubs are #1 and #2 in TD's from their draft class which says a lot considering how many games Watson has missed. I know I am not alone in thinking Wicks may end up the best of them all. Add the 2 TE's and really as exciting a group of young receivers as we have ever had, I can't even think of a group that compares.
  8. I knew I shouldn’t have tuned in with a 1-0 lead. Gah
  9. You knew 1-0 was too much to hope for. Gotta score some runs here…crap hate losing tight games to the good teams.
  10. Looking at the Sox starter looks like a great opportunity to see Yeli hit #200 at home. But they will probably sit him..
  11. 10 games over, finally! I don't know about the Brewers but that was starting to get in my head 😀
  12. That's crazy, I think Wayne would have nailed that role. He was making a lot of bad movies in the 70's and that could have been a outside the box late career classic for him. Not surprised at all he would turn it down though, but I can see why they wanted him for it.
  13. 4th attempt at getting to 10 games over, let’s get over that hump!
  14. https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/40202788/how-packers-christian-watson-hamstring-issues-eric-stokes Man, this offense could be the best in the NFL if Watson can stay on the field. I usually roll my eyes at offseason articles like this but great to hear Watson going full bore and looking great in camp. Hard to overstate how excited I am about this team and the upcoming season. Fingers crossed on the new D scheme and coaching staff but I am a believer there too.
  15. I am thrilled with Vikes. Lions, and Bears although I am doubtful I will make the 4 hour trip in January unless game is huge. I always go to the 2nd home game and Vikes are far and away my most hated rival. As for Goff, the way the cap goes up every year they probably aren't doing too much long term damage. The QB's just seem to get the biggest gains when it goes up. I have my doubts he can carry them there but good QB's can win it with a great team around him. I was worried that older guy coming off the ACL they drafted last year would be good but they must not be that high on him at this point.
  16. With Goff's new deal you have to think Love will be asking for 50+ million now. We didn't get much of a reprieve from a big money QB but that's the going rate.
  17. Packers decline to pick up Stokes option. Not really a surprise but not drafting a CB until 7th round made me wonder. It’s not like they still can’t extend him if he has a breakout season.
  18. I think Slaton is a lock, every scheme needs a big run stuffer and none of the others really fit that. Before switching to 3-4 we used Gilbert Brown, Grady Jackson and Pickett at DT. I actually sort of expect Slaton to get extended if he doesn't suck or get hurt next season.
  19. The Packers D has been getting killed in the middle of the field for years. New 4-3 scheme and staff and tons of money and picks invested in DL and CB. I am fine with them drafting 2 LB and 3 safeties if it fixes the issues, if some of them pan out we should be good for a few years there.
  20. If he turns into an all pro we will remember it like TJ Watt that's for sure. Overall great draft when you look at it from a needs perspective. defense seems set if you believe Stokes will rebound to rookie form. The Oline needs to sort out but seems like we have 5 starters there. Now we can spend all these day 3 picks on depth and special teams, maybe a QB. I love the RB pick, sounds a lot like Aaron Jones, maybe we get that backfield we dreamed of for like 2 hours before they cut Jones.
  21. I have been reading predictions that Packers will pick up Stokes 5th year option which seems nuts. But maybe they know something we don't and expect him back and starting. We still need a slot corner though.
  22. What happens on draft night stays on draft night lol
  23. I have been thinking it would be him all day, smees like another Quay though and we have one of him..
  24. Thats the only reason I can think of but you have to know you will want to trade up later. I could see it more trading into 25.
  25. I have no idea why we need more picks
