  1. Hard to know the timing but NFL/TV doesn't give us picks real time so could have been we traded down after Philly took DeJEan
  2. It happened with Eli Maning and Rivers but weirdly you hardly ever see that in the NFL.
  3. As always after sobering up and reading more this morning I love the pick. I think they see him as their long term LT and predict he is starting there week one. Like other have said there were better interior guys available. They have their QB now, protecting his blind side should have been a priority and apparently it was. I heard from a friend the Cowboys wanted him too, if so they got too cute trading down. At least 3 teams before us today need WR's so Kool Aid or DeJean could be in play for us at #41. I still want DeJean but also don't want them to overpay like they did for Watson.
  4. He is a LT, right? I guess we know how much faith they have in Walker
  5. I have been complaining for years we don't build the line with 1st rounders, I will learn to like this.
  6. Oof wasn't he a tweener? We haven't had a ton of luck with guys like that but I still want Dejean
  7. If Arnold and Dejean are next 2 picks I will be bummed, even though I know we will get good player
  8. The only reason I would question the trade for the Vikes is they have already given up a lot to trade up this year. For the Packers I could live with that trade for sure. But I guess the Vikes are expecting some high comp picks so maybe it makes sense. I always think a 3rd and 4th next year is like a 4th and 5th this year. Mims gone. Yes!
  9. No, especially with future mid rounders
  10. Vikes really spending like the drunken Bears to move up
  11. Nah, 3rd worst, Goff sucks
  12. Now I am a little worried Vikes take Dejean at 23
  13. I am sure they will say he was their guy all along but you know they wanted Maye or Daniels.
  14. Wow that is a stunner, I thought the Raiders would take Penix at 13. Does anyone want McCarthy enough to move up?
  15. Top of draft falling like you would have expected 3 months ago, talking heads always talking themselves into other guys moving up. Both Giants and Vikings wanted Drake Maye apparently and are not as high on McCarthy .
  16. Yeah, I can't remember not eventually coming around to loving a Packer first round pick in a day or 2. Maybe Jamal Reynolds but I was also mad about the Hasslebeck trade so that may fog my memory. I even though Justin Harrel would shock all the nay sayers.
  17. I am a little nervous the Packers might get jumpy about LB and take their favorite at #25 as they would be worried about a run on them before #41. They are probably not the only team with a need there and Cooper, Wilson, and Colson are all on that second plateau of late 1st-2nd round players. That would be the pick that makes me groan at #25.
  18. Vikings reportedly getting rebuffed trying to move up, backup plan is Byron Murphy at #11 and I would think they hope for Nix at #23. I feel like everyone always thinks a lot of QB's go high but 1 or 2 drop. Hopefully NE makes them pay through the nose. 🙂
  19. I was thinking about what if Murphy drops to them as I read he would be a very good one gap player and like you say could save them from another Clark contract. But the scouting report I read also said he was undersized 6'0' and 300lbs so needed to be lined up next to a bigger guy. If bigger just means taller than Wyatt would work. DT's can be a little undervalued in the draft too, Aaron Donald I think got picked at #12 and there was a lot of hype around him. But I don't expect him to be there at #25. I haven't read up on Newton much.
  20. I can see your point and I know others who feel the same way but for me it isn't a TV show, it's the draft and it's supposed to be live, we should get the picks somewhat real time. It drives me nuts to wait 5 minutes after pick is in to find out who the Packers picked. Last year I heard Van Ness here first, there is plenty of suspense for me already and I don't need to hear it from Goodell. But you won't hear the pick from me here.
  21. Count me on the Cooper Dejean bandwagon. He checks a lot of need boxes for us, I would be fine if they have to trade up to get him. If he is gone OL please. I saw Peter Schrager on GMFB(good to see it back) this morning pleading with everyone to watch the draft without watching the internet for the pick to be leaked before the NFL shoves 5 more minutes of commercials down our throat. Of course, he works for the NFL and they're the ones who created the problem. I really wish they would go back to the commissioner walking up right after you see "pick is in" but we know that is not happening.
  22. Is Yelich expected to come off DL today?
  23. I think last camp he was competing at C, RG, and RT, the idea being he was going to end up a starter somewhere. Then Nijman must have disappointed, and Tom was the RT. So I agree, if he is better inside and they land a RT at the top of the draft they may still move Tom.
  24. I saw an over/under betting chart somewhere that had Wilson at 26 and ECooper at 41. I have also seen Wilson mocked to the packers in round 1 at least once so it feels like he may have passed Cooper as the top off ball LB. I would be thrilled to land either at #58.
