  1. That was nuts, I don't think they should have moved that spot, it's not what we have seen on replay before and I thought they moved it a couple of inches too far which was of course just enough. How do the niners play that desperation drive so bad? My god.
  2. Their defense was dominating at that point and it was a long 1, I thought it was the right call. If it is the Packers and Rodgers with our D yeah go for it.
  3. I don't see any way Rodgers retires, he loves being a celebrity and all the attention and that will fade soon once he is done with playing QB. Plus I would rather the Packers cash him in if he is going to leave to help with the rebuild. I can live with him winning for another team as long it isn't the FREAKING VIKINGS or something like that. I think the stock sale and lack of Adams extension sort of show that at least the Packers are not sure what he wants to do yet. I sort of lean toward him leaving, I just suspect he wants to play somewhere else just for a change of scenery and maybe closer to the west coast. The proposed trade with the Eagles just needs some more picks to the Pack down the road, even if they are 2nd, 3rd, or 4th rounders.
  4. These playoff games can get ugly once it sinks in for the loser that their season is over. Eagles need to score this drive.
  5. That NFC run was pre free agency and fueled by powerhouse teams in Washington, SF, Giants, and Dallas. To be fair to the AFC Denver I think was favored in the Doug Williams game and Buffalo should have beaten the Giants so some bad luck and Elway stinkers but I don't remember thinking the AFC was that bad. Of course it had to be 12 point favorite GB that ended it.
  6. Yeah that was a lame penalty, on top of that there were 2 tips that seemed pickable but Brady always has that eternal rabbits foot. Not impressed with Eagles D there but maybe they adjust.
  7. I haven’t watched them much, how good has Hurts been? His numbers are mediocre by today’s standards. The Eagles have been mentioned as a front runner if there is a Rodgers sweepstakes as they have 3 first round picks.
  8. I do not watch the afc much in the regular season and I sometimes forget how dynamic Allen is until I watch him again. They look really impressive, hot take in the first half but this may be their year to get out of the AFC.
  9. Has there been an official change allowing refs to fix obvious stuff they see on the jumbo tron or calling in to the league to fix stuff without a challenge or score/turnover? It seems like it happens all the time now, I am pretty sure on that timeout/roughing the passer they went with the replay to say the roughing was incidental. Edit: question answered on broadcast, "replay assist".
  10. I came close it was a gutsy call by the Bills.
  11. Holy crap I have been watching a Bills-Patriots rerun on NFL network thinking it was the playoff game, Bills just converted on 4th down. Doh!
  12. Honestly that is believable, we are all familiar with him but it's weird how the national media treats him since he has been in Dallas. He was widely praised right up until the last year in Green Bay but now in dallas under that national microscope he is ridiculed, I guess no hiding the game management flaws any more.
  13. Vikings request interview with Hackett. And Rodgers is tight with Hackett? hmmm...the Kirk Cousins era in GB?
  14. Yes keeping the conferences on different weekend days the first 2 rounds would be great but no way the NFL wants to be penned in putting the lower rated AFC in prime TV spots. At least no one gets 8 days off before the Packers.
  15. I am sort of annoyed that there is no nfc game today. They couldn’t flip the early weekend games? Eagles played on Saturday and Raiders had OT Sunday night.
  16. The talking heads sort of act like Dallas is a budding super team held back by their bumbling coach. I am sort of glad they have to win 2 to get to us just so we can likely avoid the MM-Rodgers hype. But head to head Rodgers is much more in control of who gets even, not sweating that matchup much.
  17. [sarcasm]I wonder how Hub voted last year.[/sarcasm]
  18. Packers with 3 first team all pros, Rodgers, Adams, and Campbell. The votes for QB? Rodgers 34 Brady 16 Same voters voted for MVP
  19. I always view the NFL post season as part of the previous year so Packers SB win would make 2021 the best. By calendar year the loss to the Bucs makes 2021 a hard no, how can it be the best when something that bad happened? I did enjoy the Bucks title much more than I would have thought though, that was a blast.
  20. Wahl finally makes a 3 and goes 2-4. If he can get those jumpers to drop it makes everything so much easier for this team. They just keep winning, really fun to watch after last years squad.
  21. I am surprised they put a west coast game on Monday as it is 5pm local kickoff. Will be interesting to see how the ratings are for weekday playoffs, fantasy season over and maybe nfl burnout for fans whose teams are done.
  22. Just tuning in as I forgot, Wahl filling up the box score again.
  23. Crazy to think Cowboys-49ers have not met in playoffs since 1994. Off the top of my head the Packers have played the niners 7 times in playoffs and the Cowboys 3 since then. Remember when they both seemed so invincible before we finally broke through?
  24. I would hope for a lot more from Bakh and Jaire but I agree, the further they get the more impact we will see from these guys. I assumed Mercilus had surgery and went home, the Packers must share nothing with the local beat writers. I knew there was a reason I stopped subscribing to the online MJS coverage, I am not that cheap the coverage just started to suck over the years.
