  1. I sympathize with those who will less enjoy this coming season out of what in my opinion is an irrational fear that Giannis won't re-sign. It took me around 20 article searches to find out the max Giannis could get signing anywhere other than Milwaukee. Gee, I wonder why that is? Why does no one want to even mention the 100 million dollar haircut Giannis would have to take to sign elsewhere? Could it be because it would suck the drama out of this story? I wonder why the media never talks about the over 100 million dollar difference? I wonder why the media never talks about Anthony Davis signing anywhere other than LA after this year? I'd bet that most NBA fans already think he's signed a long term deal to stay there. He has not, yet no there's media drama. Hmmm. Giannis not only has 100 million reasons to stay in Milwaukee he also has a title contending team around him, which is all he's ever asked for. The Harvard study comments, if even accurate, came before last year's playoff run. The Bucks didn't underachieve and the current roster isn't in shambles. Which brings us back to the 100 million dollars.
  2. It's also false. The supermax can't be offered until after this season. The Bucks will be able to offer 5 years, $247 million The most he can get elsewhere is 4 years, $141 million He's not going anywhere.
  3. There's been a notable dropoff the second time through as both starter and reliever in his career... SP 1st Through: 306 PA, 283 AB, SO/W 3.71, .230 BAA, .658 OPS SP 2nd Through: 294 PA. 280 AB, SO/W 5.36, .271 BAA, .740 OPS SP 3rd Through: 133 PA, 130 AB, SO/W 1.67, .350 BAA, .989 OPS RP 1st Through: 168 PA, 157 AB, SO/W 4.11, .204 BAA, .536 OPS RP 2nd Through: 19 PA, 17 AB, SO/W 4.00, .294 BAA, .898 OPS He's been most dominant as a reliever facing a lineup once. In other words he's like 90% of MLB pitchers.
  4. Thanks, I completely missed that part of the rule. i haven't seen anything making the 13 pitcher limit official. i know that it's been recommended, but i have yet to see a formal decision announced. Well if they don't cap the number of pitchers, I'd be shocked, stunned, and flabbergasted if the Brewers don't carry 14 of them.
  5. Who? Jimmy Graham and it took me by surprise as well. It didn't look anything like the Jimmy Graham we've seen since he came to Green Bay.
  6. The pass rush was non-existent today. Not only were there zero sacks, there wasn't even a QB hit. CBs are going to give up some completions when that happens. Besides it was the TEs for Oakland doing all the damage, not the WRs.
  7. I wanted them to draft TJ Watt too but King has had some great games and the defense has fallen off the cliff when he's been sidelined in the past. He's far from terrible. But bad take makers are going to make bad takes.
  8. The 3rd one looks like it was out in the sun too long and faded. Gimme #1
  9. I don't think there's any maybe about it, those are knock you over the head until it's clear with everyone type comments from him. The biggest change is him running less and getting the ball out sooner. And that means fewer passing yards and more throwaways but it helps keep him out of the injury tent.
  10. Of course you do the ball and glove. It never should've been changed from the ball in glove in the first place. Whether these new uniforms are good or not will have nothing to do with the obvious return to BiG, it will be the colors and design.
  11. It was already looking like beating Ohio State was a pipe dream, but when you trip on a doormat along the way, it makes it seem like this program will never have that season we're all hoping for. I just completely lost all interest in watching any other college games. Free'd up a lot of time on Saturdays at least. Go Bucks, Go Pack!
  12. Thanks, I completely missed that part of the rule. In that case, position versatility is clearly lessened. If you were already carrying 13 pitchers, as teams like the Brewers were, then the added spot having to be a position player means less use for players like Perez. You can essentially replace his position coverage with 2 players and thus may as well go for better bats.
  13. Not sure why anything other than another pitcher would be utilized for the 26th spot. We've all seen what they're able to do with additional pitchers. The Brewers will still need a versatile, multi-position bench. I just think they've just given up on Perez's bat.
  14. Don't ask me how I know this, but the Bucks are going to win the 2019-20 NBA Championship
  15. Emmanuel Sanders continues to make the most sense to me as a trade target. AJ Green is the big name but he hasn't been the AJ Green people think of for years now. Sanders is damn near the perfect slot receiver right now and has shown he's still got it on the field this year while we still have no idea if Green is even a shell of his former self. Adams and MVS would take care of the boundaries, and Sanders would give Rodgers the target he desperately needs between the hashes and on short, intermediate routes.
  16. Hilarious that you cite PFF to boost your case but leave out his ranking THIS year. FYI, he's ranked 60th out of 88 by PFF. Philadelphia is extremely thin, if not desperate at LB and they released him going into a season-tilting matchup against their rival. That should tell you something.
  17. If you want to play "armchair GM" you should probably take the time to familiarize yourself with the human beings you're wheeling and dealing for in "hypothetical-land". Brown has a well-known history. A 5 second google search would be of great assistance to you. And taking another 20-30 seconds would tell you how poor his play has been this year. There's literally no upside to this guy.
  18. Can't believe people are still clamoring for Zach Brown. There's a reason the next team he plays for will be his 5th overall and 4th in 3 years. Philadelphia is bleeding on defense and yet they cut bait after just 6 games. He's 30 years old and his play no longer warrants the hassle with everything else that comes with having this guy in the locker room. This isn't fantasy football.
  19. Ah, the old "I don't like it so I'm going to project my opinion on the entire fanbase" argument. It would take about 5 minutes for even the most casual fans to learn that Lux is one the game's top prospects and be OK with the trade. Then 5 minutes later upon learning he's from Wisconsin, they'd be saying "Hader who".
  20. I still want to know what the plan would be for the AAA team that just built a brand new stadium 15 minutes away from the proposed stadium locations (Rio site and Henderson). For the life of me I thought there was a MLB rule that prohibited a MLB team and AAA in the same city. For that reason, it all just feels like a bluff to me.
  21. I'm going to call in a favor and make sure word gets to the players, coaches, and front office that they need to figure it out and get it together.
  22. Given that you're well known for placing less than zero value on defense, I'm going to take this with a grain of salt.
  23. He had the same thumb issue that Braun has/had, which at it's worst, really dragged Ryan's numbers down for a stretch until he either got used to it or had enough nerve numbing injections to render it less of an issue. I imagine they've got a plan to address it for Cain in the offseason in addition to the knee. With hopefully better health next year, there's reason to anticipate a rebound for Lorenzo.
  24. I know what you're saying but I just think Counsell is managing these games like last year. 4 innings is right around the most I'd expect of any of these guys.
