  1. Yeah any bars or restaurants running shuttles down there would be great, too. Grab a bite before heading over sounds perfect. I'll keep checking around.
  2. I think you're right, he said all the right things when he left us, but this is a chip on the shoulder passive aggressive move to stick it to the GM and Prez. I bet NYJ are letting him pick guys too, giving him say on that stuff like he always wanted with us too. Even if he takes a 35 million pay cut, he probably figures he'll make up for it and more in NYC promo deals off the field. Smart move by him, but you're right man if he did this with us, we could of kept a couple more guys last year and maybe made a deeper run for sure.
  3. Yep this should make him look really good in the NYC market, increase his brand and mass appeal. Smart move.
  4. It's true. If both of these guys played for the Sox, Yankees, Dodgers they'd be shoe ins.
  5. Going to be a close race all the way to the end between 4 teams pretty cool.
  6. Going to see Pantera Monday at AmFam at the Summerfest grounds. Haven't been there since they redid it a few years back. Are there good, safe, free places to park? Last time I was down there 10+ years ago we parked by the Allen Bradley clock and it was ok. Any other ideas?
  7. He scares me in the field, but let's see what he can do in the DH...or they want to up his trade value. I have a feeling some other team will figure him out and he'll be good again.
  8. It does indeed look exciting. But by then we’ll have 0 starting pitching.
  9. Beating some good teams right now...with a terrible offense. Call up or trade for a bat or two, Ashby and Woody come back look out! We can run with anyone in the playoffs just have to get in.
  10. I'm not buying it, the Cards are the Cards and they will somehow be in it at the end. They will get some new gritty manager that plays the game the "right way" and go on a run.
  11. That was a name I remember getting tossed around on this board quite a bit years ago. Was this guy a pretty big prospect at one point? Good to see him getting a chance. Didn't know he switched to pitcher from 3B.
  12. We all know he will be come the best RF and DH now in the NL? We are talking about the Cards guys.
  13. Playing good right against a very tough early season schedule yep. Really impressed with the team's approach this year. It's fun to watch.
  14. Yep he's looked good, and his D has been better than advertised. The coaching staff must be really good with catchers.
  15. How has Ruiz been doing for the A's?
  16. Gamer McBattler, Lars Eckbar, David Nutestein. Just a class team that finds a way.
  17. These young player deals you guys want to lock all our prospects who are unproven at the MLB level up with already are risky. Imagine if we signed Huira to one of these 7-8 year deals for over $100 million after 2019? Yikes. We're gonna have these guys for a long time even without these deals, we're fine.
  18. I'm preparing myself to be underwhelmed by the return...last year was the chance to cash in. But I get it you don't want to trade your QB coming off back to back MVP seasons I get it. Hindsight is 20/20. Only way we get something a little better back is if other teams are really in the running like the Raiders too and there's some competition.
  19. With the Yeli contract on the books can't see this happening. He'll be traded and we can hopefully get some young pitching in return to match our young hitting prospects we have now in camp that are getting close. Hoping we can somehow resign one of our stud pitchers too but it's going to be tough with the FA money being thrown around. Can only hope for some good trades and a quick reload like 2016-2017 was.
  20. It's on my bucket list to do some day, my 40th bday this year would of been nice. Instead we're going to Spring Training for the first time. Maybe 45? Gotta start saving now... I saw on Cory Hart's Twitter they had a lot of players from the 2006-2012 era which is amazing.
  21. Not sure what I'm going to do for the Brewers on TV next season now. Hopefully between now and the start of the season an agreement can be reached and we'll switch to that service. Liking YoutubeTV so far...except for no Brewers stuff now.
