  1. I'm scared of that too. Hey if they go through a cool stretch now, they can get hot again for the playoffs. Just like the Phils, Braves of a couple years ago.
  2. Hey, thanks for posting here. That takes a lot of courage. I've had really good experiences at Wrigley talking to knowledgeable Cubs fans in the stands, and I really enjoy the ballpark and the food. Dare I say it's better than ours :) Man I hope we can have it locked up by then. Miller Park will be very blue and red if it isn't. It will be like a playoff atmosphere, almost like game 163 in 2018 was but for 3 games! Pretty cool to think of, but I want it locked up by then. Remember 2 years ago didn't we get homefield for the entire playoffs, lockup the division a couple weeks early? And we rested guys, sat guys, lined up the rotation...and we lost a lot of games down the stretch...and then choked against the Braves. So it's sort of a double edged sword resting guys, and not letting them get too cold. Gonna be fun to watch!
  3. Chafin as the game 1 "opener". (blue text)
  4. Taylor has stepped up HUGE these past couple months. Great to see that, especially with these other guys out. Joey has been tough to watch at the plate this week.
  5. This doesn't look as bad as some of them. The blue matches at least. It would of been cool to have the white be yellow, but that probably doesn't go along with their branding guidelines. I get it. Just hope they spend this money on the field or at the stadium, and stop whining about needing more money from us. Use it.
  6. It would suck if their jerseys looked like the County Stadium wall with 100s of ads.
  7. Arm patch. My guess is SC Johnson. I've seen that Scrubbin Bubbles Brewers mascot too many times last couple weeks on TV during the games... I was really surprised they waited this long to have a patch. I'm surprised they are announcing it now with all the lease talks and boo hoo they need our money or else they will move. It will look bad for the Brewers to say they need all of our money to keep the team here...while taking a cool $10-20 million from a sponsor. My guess it's something like that.
  8. Man watching Joey last night he finds himself 0-2 reallly quickly. Every at bat. Just up there hacking. Looks like more of that today.
  9. Wow this is hard, but looks fun.
  10. I have Dobbins at RB and he's out for the season. Any good WW pickup suggestions at RB?
  11. Guilty of having a Pat Listach rookie card.
  12. Agreed. Can anyone basically make an article and get it on the page? There's too many, and they aren't good.
  13. First time ever drafting Mahomes...I'm sure he'll get hurt this season early.
  14. If the D is really good, I think they can sneak in with a wild card or be in the hunt...if the D is bad we won't make the playoffs.
  15. I would rather have us not playing our best baseball right now, and get hot at the end of the season and playoffs than be hot right now and fade in the playoffs like we have the last couple times we've made it. The best is yet to come! Let's be the Braves or Phils from last year and get hot at the right time. Or one of those Cards teams in the late 2000s / early 2010s.
  16. More deep cut random Brewers please. Anyone else follow @randombrewers on Twitter? They post players you forgot about, great page.
  17. Maybe this year will be the team where we "get hot" at the right time and surprise everyone like KC a few years back, Atlanta or Philly. It's possible!
  18. Anyone else annoyed with the new "sweeper" pitch being a thing now? Just call it a slider. A 12-6 curveball and one that moves more horizontally as well as vertically they are still both called a curveball. Sliders can be different too. Or am I just old man yelling at cloud? :)
  19. I have a feeling we're gonna come back and win this one. Lots of game left.
  20. I just think he's choking. He knows a HUGE payday is close, and it's in his head to have another good year, if not his best year to get that life changing contract...and he's swinging at stuff out of the zone to try and be that guy. Other teams know this watching the tape now, and they don't give him anything good because they know he'll chase. That at bat a couple days ago where he had a 3-0 count, swung at ball 4, 5, and 6 with weak contact was a very frustrating at bat and summed up his season struggles perfectly. I want him to get going too we need him! And increase his trade value for next year since I don't think we can afford him.
  21. I think he'll be fine. Let's revisit this thread in 3 years. He's already looked better up there. If these rookies come on late, and our pitching comes back healthy we can win a series against anyone and get hot.
  22. I'm staying positive and think he'll be fine. Reminds me of JJ Hardy's first year where he hit around .200. Anyone have those stats to compare to Turang? And Turang is a better defender.
  23. Just wanted to share my experience. Parked around Jackson and Chicago in the Third Ward. Put about 50 cents in the meter since it was almost 6pm and I was good all night. Quick drink at the Deer Camp bar, and a 1/4 mile walk to the Summerfest gate. Really easy, and it's so nice down there now.
  24. Thanks for staying positive. Though the moves weren't exciting, the pickups are still upgrades...and we didn't give up anything too big. Bring on Craigtember and Craigust.
  25. In Larry David as Steinbrenner voice..."Hire this man."
