  1. Yep he's looked good, and his D has been better than advertised. The coaching staff must be really good with catchers.
  2. Great road W against a good team, and great starter.
  3. How has Ruiz been doing for the A's?
  4. Curious to see the rate the ump card for last night's poop show...but the Crew didn't really play good anyways.
  5. The speed all 3 rookies have is what surprised me the most. They don't get in many double plays, get infield hits, steal bases, run down fly balls for outs that were extra base hits last year, run hard out of the box. I've really enjoyed seeing them fly. And we still have more on the way! :)
  6. Gamer McBattler, Lars Eckbar, David Nutestein. Just a class team that finds a way.
  7. Hit by none other than On Base Jace.
  8. After playing as the Brewers in MLB The Show 23, I realized I only knew 3 people in our Bullpen from last year...hope some people step up. Brewers usually good at this, finding guys for the pen and it working out.
  9. How dare you talk about our Playoff Cleanup hitter like that... :) (blue text)
  10. Look I get it. Food and Drinks at a MLB game will always be expensive. Same with NBA, NFL, concerts. It's how they make money. But the quality has dipped so low compared to what it used to be at Miller Park and I think that's the more concerning and disappointing part. We've talked about it before but it's sad a Wrigley Field Chicago Dog beats out a Brat at Miller Park but it's true.
  11. These young player deals you guys want to lock all our prospects who are unproven at the MLB level up with already are risky. Imagine if we signed Huira to one of these 7-8 year deals for over $100 million after 2019? Yikes. We're gonna have these guys for a long time even without these deals, we're fine.
  12. It will be interesting to see if velocity is down league wide this year with the pitch clock. Having less time to recover between pitches has to effect how hard you can throw the ball somewhat.
  13. Really good video! Would like to see more of this kind of stuff.
  14. Thanks for the suggestions! I was listening to Uke on the radio and he mentioned a couple places that are traditional places players and staff go to....probably out of our price range but still might be worth checking out. Heard some 620 staff also talk about eating at some places while down there for work, but they didn't specify what place.
  15. Anyone head down there yet this year? Good places to eat? Are there any cool places that are Spring Training institution type places to eat at? Looking for places west of Phoenix as that's where we're staying thanks!
  16. I'm preparing myself to be underwhelmed by the return...last year was the chance to cash in. But I get it you don't want to trade your QB coming off back to back MVP seasons I get it. Hindsight is 20/20. Only way we get something a little better back is if other teams are really in the running like the Raiders too and there's some competition.
  17. With the Yeli contract on the books can't see this happening. He'll be traded and we can hopefully get some young pitching in return to match our young hitting prospects we have now in camp that are getting close. Hoping we can somehow resign one of our stud pitchers too but it's going to be tough with the FA money being thrown around. Can only hope for some good trades and a quick reload like 2016-2017 was.
  18. Good to see all the young guys mashing...but you know CC is going to play the Vets over them and make us all mad in a couple months right? :)
  19. I'm a little worried about the 4-1-Crew thing. Some of that stuff is pretty cringe and gimmicky for us salty hardcore baseball nerds...remember the Diamond Dancers? So what will this crew group due the Brew Crew already doesn't? Will be interesting to find out. Maybe it will be cool I'll wait and see.
  20. Really? High marks on quality? The brats and hot dogs have been terrible for the last 3-5 years imo. Very disappointing to get a brat, one of the state's signature sports foods and the bun is suctioned around the brat and mushy, or I've had it really dry too as well. The tenders and tots has always been really good however I will give credit where credit is due. Best value in the park for food. Had a Chicago Dog at Wrigley a few years ago and was shocked at how much better it was than a Brewers Brat.
  21. It's on my bucket list to do some day, my 40th bday this year would of been nice. Instead we're going to Spring Training for the first time. Maybe 45? Gotta start saving now... I saw on Cory Hart's Twitter they had a lot of players from the 2006-2012 era which is amazing.
  22. Seemed strange for the Brewers to advertise this so hard, like it's a replacement for the normal Fanfest kind of thing they have done in the past but hold it at a smaller bar.
  23. Looks like our Air B and B is in Avondale, west of Maryvale. It had high ratings and looked good. On the off days might hit up the CAF ww2 airplane museum, and go up to the Grand Canyon I've never been there.
  24. Yeah I've heard that about Maryvale around the ballpark after years of lurking on these forums. Note taken sounds good. Hope our Air BnB is in an ok area now...checking.
  25. My wife and I are going down for the first time ever. Was thinking the Mariners road game and maybe a home game as well. Then sightseeing another day. Good places to eat around by the ballpark? I think we are staying west of Maryvale 5-10 minutes down the highway Air BnB. Places to rent a car?
