  1. I’d leave rotation alone, pitch em out of rotation til innings become a concern. Then to bullpen. I’d put Nelson in pen to protect his arm, if he’s protected like Hader with rest, he can be our right handed fireman this year.
  2. Team is 4-1. So far the pen hasn't been a problem. Wilson has looked great, and others have been good as well. On paper, yes, it doesn't look strong. But fortunately they play the games, and players can defy expectations. Agree more good than bad. Wilson looks great, Guerra and Albers really good to go with Hader. Claudio great on lefties, anderson should be solid. Williams- meh. Barnes needs to go, and Will probably soon replaced by fields. Jeffress replace Williams, then pen with a good jj back to strength again.
  3. I don’t know, l guess with Hader prob a little above ave I guess. Not what I’d call a strength of this brewers team, the bullpen. You guys sound like you disagree?
  4. No kidding, how bad has the Brewer bullpen so far? NL ranks- ERA = 5th (3.57) FIP = 3rd (0.96) OPS against = 2nd (.590) Extremely small sample size, outside of Hader, average to slightly below average pen. But on a positive note, nowhere to go but up!
  5. i don’t feel like answering any more questions. I should say..... but won’t.
  6. What are you basing this on? How bout those 4 cold weather games they lost against the cubs last year. I don’t see a bunch of reds players dressed in winter masks and such. Lots of Latin players and southern Californians prob doesn’t help either.
  7. The crew terrible cold weather team. Look like they can’t wait to get back to their hotel room, and in bed, under the covers.
  8. I’m surprised crusty old Marty brennaman hasn’t grabbed those idiots by there ears and.........
  9. Arcia head case. Second the Dubon fast start. Options would be nice.
  10. I think stearns stays pat til we find out how jeffress looks with the crew. Would think Watson would be less expensive than Smith, but could still fetch a Ray.
  11. They gonna draw this year, temp in 40s on a Monday, in early april. What do you expect?
  12. Really hopin for fast starts from Webb and perdomo, crew might could use one or other sometime after super 2.
  13. 1)Hiura- hit tool gonna play 2)Turang- a few yrs away, but there’s a reason a myriad of scouts had him pegged 1/1 after his junior yr of high school.
  14. I think pump the breaks a bit. Williams had a rough game Saturday but outside of walk, he was fine today. He has an explosive arm & is talented pitcher gaining experience. I don’t think Brown who has never pitched above AA is a quick fix. Come June... maybe. See how Williams does for more than a bad outing. Barnes... he’s not been useful since 2017 so think he is easily down when Jeffress comes back. Again we are 4 days into season. We are 3-1 with one bad pitching day across board pretty much. Williams with 2 hits, a walk, & 1 run in 2 innings isn’t amazing but not worth pulling plug on. I don’t see Cards fans wanting to replace Miller & Hicks who were both worse than him this series. Brown will be up it’s just a question of when. Of the 2 Barnes needs to go. Fields and his elite strand % would be my choice. I obviously think the crew want let brown get his feet wet in AAA, and bring him up after S2. He might not throw quite as hard as Burnes, but that curve is elite and so is the command. Today he’d be one our top 5 or 6 pen arms in my opinion. Fields > Barnes it’s gonna happen, think it’s just a matter of fields getting more work in ext ST.
  15. Not long enough!
  16. The Cubs' situation is pretty rotten right now. That's one. Just watched Pedro strop’s wild pitch, Gallo scores, cubs lose cubs lose. I think your right, their bullpen worse than ours.
  17. Nobody is a righty Hader......... Now that you mention that......I guess not.
  18. After the first 4 games I will make the following prediction: Nelson is the key to the pitching staff. If crew puts him in rotation, he’ll anchor our starting staff. If brewers decide he better off in pen he can be our righty Hader. Either way it’ll be great seeing jimmy pumping his fists again!
  19. I might have to add a dozen or two dingers!
  20. Extend him now please 5 years 200 mil
