  1. Brewers not gonna spend the $ to sign him. They have there budget and there not gonna budge. Rid pen of Barnes and Williams. Jeffress and Nelson ^^ til trade deadline.
  2. I’m giddy with the thought of this young trio being left alone, to pitch all year out of the rotation. We can still win tons of games while they gain the experience they need to be the dominant pitchers I think we all know they will be.
  3. Well they have an ace, two TOR starters, and another ace when Nelson comes back tomorrow. Or something like that. Sounds good to me, doubt Nelson back tomorrow though.
  4. The job that Brody VanWagenen has done with the Mets line-up and bullpen is gonna get them into the playoffs. Line-up outside of cano is young and strong with my pick for ROY in Alonso. No team has a degrom. Familia and Diaz at the backend, only thing holding that team back is their manager. East is unreal.
  5. Fantastic question. I wonder if the latest setback with jimmy’s sore elbow has moved the crew to want jimmy in pen or if they moving ahead with plans for the rotation? I would put him in pen, have him be the final piece in their trio of high quality multi-inning pen arms. It would give us something no other team has and protect jimmy at the same time, 40-60 pitches/ outing. The thought of one of junior chase jimmy able to pitch virtually any game gives me visions of a real super pen.
  6. Gap is going to increase with burns pitching tonight! And possibly Hader too!
  7. I hope he pours it on!!!! We’ll see how much bullying and gang mentality there’s going to be on this board tonight. Not that I’m complaining.
  8. Really like your take here. I have 100% confidence in the crew to limit innings to our trio so they can be at peak performance for the possible 18 playoff games needed to finally win this thing. I’d also like to see longer outings but fewer of them, which is asking a lot out of such young inexperienced starting pitchers. But when crew has 3 multi-inning pen arms it won’t matter because they’ll be covered.
  9. Big time test for Burnes tonight. Hoping to see more than just the FB/slider, and also with his elite command work the edges of the plate. A Pitcher friendly Umpire would be nice as well.
  10. I think this post will prove to be very prophetic.
  11. Derby pitched well last night for San Antonio. I always thought he profiled better as a multi-inning reliever. Ok, I must admit I don’t know much about derby, but ok then. I also think CC has FINALLY seen enough of Williams and Barnes. So think some moves be happening. Probably not going to replace both right now, but I think one goes, and replaced By Petricka or fields. Then if they fail I think we see Houser Brown derby.
  12. I would argue NO TEAM will improve as much as this team over the course of the full season. From the improvement or our young guns as they gain experience, to bullpen reinforcements, trade deadline acquisitions, even moose at turning two. Wow this team gonna be awful tough to beat later in the year.
  13. Have to love havin a super experienced quality pen arm like Anderson. Underrated beyond belief. Not many teams have 2 multi-inning arms like chase and junior. Now just need one more > houser? Brown? 3 multi would be our secret weapons. That could make our pen dominant again with or without jj.
  14. Missions manager sweet said low 90s, so gonna guesstimate 90-92. Hopefully over time he can bump it back up to 94-97. This bullpen could sure use a strong jj.
  15. Slow down a bit there... He did give up a homer, so I think GREAT is a little bit of an exaggeration. Not sure there was a lot of naysaying, but concern for the long ball is legitimate. He held the game in check, at a time we needed him to do so, but giving up a homer, his downfall in the past, doesn't quite put his performance in the great category... I'd like to see him come into a game and not give up a dinger, then I think calling him a weapon might be in order. It is nice having a long reliever with his experience though, just stop with the home runs please... He’s just trying to pour it on... I said FEW naysayers, not a LOT of naysayers, point is, you should pay more attention to detail. One thing I’ve noticed in the short time I’ve been here, is people sure talk a lot out of Both sides of their mouth, but I shouldn’t be surprised, since it’s safer to do than pick a side and hold firm.
  16. Silver linings: Williams terrible and needs sent down ASAP. That my opinion BEFORE he pitched tonight. Anderson put to bed a few naysayers tonight with his great performance. It’s awesome to have a quality 5 pitch PITCHER in our pen, now that’s what I call a weapon.
  17. This quote applies to every single team in the league though, that is why it is so silly. Yes teams get off to leads and don't pad the leads all the darn time, all teams in baseball do it. This isn't some thing unique to the Brewers which is just absurd to believe. It is the opinion of someone who is watching baseball on level 1 to use a poker term. The more you understand the game the more absurd opinions like this are. When you start to think about the game at level 2 or 3 or even 4 these kind of things just don't matter anymore. Almost had me on this one! I vote most arrogant post, maybe all time record breaker^^^ Nah you can’t be serious, this has to be a joke, right? Maybe your the male version of “Lucy”.
  18. Mr snapper sir, still waiting for an apology with your PT Barnum comment towards me, which I did not make. Instead you make another offending comment about me, I guess that’s “just pouring it on night”.

  20. I totally get the complaint that this team often puts up a crooked number early, then proceeds to go dormant for a long stretch of the game, while the opposing team chips away. It happened a ton in 2017 ... less often last year. But that's baseball. Well that makes 3 of us, silent majority it is.
  21. I defend this going on 2 year observation, I’m sure Pina and I aren’t the only ones. You can try and crush me all you want, and I’m sure you will continue to try, if I’m wrong I’ll admit that I am, now we’ll just have to see about you, now won’t we. Your woody and the HOF comment telling.
