  1. I thought this board didn't allow porn? Amazing opposite field hitting, especially the power, sign this guy to a 9 yr extension ASAP.
  2. Predicted line-up: Cain Yelich Braun Moose Aguilar Grandal Hiura Woodruff Arcia You’ve all convinced me, I’m a little early with the three hole Hiura.
  3. Good job getting some of us back to the reality of how hard it is to hit in the big leagues.
  4. This would be a great move, then he can rehab to get his stroke back.
  5. Love the fact they not waiting any longer, super two be darned, I guess they can send him back down if he struggles, but if he hits, they can sign him to an extension. Yes, really wondering what the corresponding move will be?
  6. Yes, the pitching staff has been holding the fort the last couple weeks, with Cain’s emergence, and huira in the line-up, we should average 5+ runs a game moving forward. And our pitching which has been good, with chase back this week and Nelson soon after will lead the NL in era from May 3 thru the playoffs.
  7. Prior to last nights offensive explosion, he WAS a black hole as a lead off hitter with an on base barely over .300. Zero of us thought that would continue much longer and it looks like that black hole has disappeared.
  8. Andrews and Zavolas for sure to AA. Andrews has already pitched well in ST to big league bats and Zavolas could be that right handed suter brainiac type pitcher Stearns obviously loves. These are two to really keep an eye on imo. Wilson another for me, could just be a late bloomer that could have a big league future as a quality utility all over the diamond, better hitter than Peréz but not quite the defender type player.
  9. Home run notwithstanding, jeffress looks great. His stuff is back! They just need a couple starter arms in the pen now and pen should be in pretty good shape moving forward.
  10. Perdomo: 2 ip 0 h 0 r 0 bb 4 ks This guys a K machine, zero bb great to see.
  11. It's been mentioned repeatedly by Counsell and Stearns in the media. Given the nagging nature of blisters and calluses, they want to make sure it responds like normal, plus it keeps him sharp while evaluating where he goes. He could very well slot into Peralta's spot with a bad start, or return to short/long relief where he was pretty good except 1-2 outings. Either, or, he’s gonna help our staff big time.
  12. Didn’t know chase doing a rehab start.
  13. Cain’s on base 100 points lower than last year, that’s a massive regression. 2 black holes and 1 super massive black hole. Cain will turn it around. Too good of a player not to. I believe in Shaw as well, because the track record is there. Aguilar I'm more leery on, but I think he'll at least be better than he has been. Sometimes guys just go through long stretches of poor hitting. I agree with your assessment. This team gonna be fun to watch when Cain and Shaw hitting.
  14. Grandal last 20 games hitting under .200, so he’s definitely slumping. And Braun I guess you think is having a good year.
  15. Figure on paying Braun $2M a year for 9 years after he is gone. You have to replace Chacin and Grandal. Raises for everyone not named Cain or Braun. But probable savings on Chase Anderson and Thames ($1M buyout). But all of sudden we are just Shaw and Yelich with lefty stick in the lineup. Cain, Braun, Hiura, Aguilar, Arcia To me there is no way we sign Kimbrel. If we don't do it when we have the draft choice advantage (4th vs 1st rounder), I don't see doing it when the rest of the league has equal shot. Logically you would think our advantage (4th vs 1st rounder) not being there after the draft would make it harder for us to sign kimbrel. But if he holds firm on the reported 3 at 45, I believe it severely limits the teams that would sign him because of the tax. If he’ll do a one year that’s different. 50 million is a good amount of room to fit a 15 mil salary for a arm as good as his.
