  1. Echoing wibadgers23, Ha-Seong Kim only costs them money. The 2 needs that I see for them is a top RP and a backup catcher. It would seem that the Brewers line up very well in that scenario.
  2. The Padres have an obvious need in the bullpen. If they are all in they need help there.
  3. Again if it happens do we just DFA Arcia?
  4. So if it was going to happen and Simmons and Semien were the available guys which one would you want?
  5. If Urias is not the SS of the future there is no one in our minor league system close. I guess Turang could be the next in line. For all of the attention paid to up the middle players by our front office it still doesn't seem like a strong point for us. I doubt we look at any of the guys mentioned but is there a lower level that would work for us?
  6. With January 15th right around the corner is there any new information on the Brewers intentions?
  7. Instead of Turang maybe Lutz gets it done. So Lazar Ray and Lutz.
  8. I saw a report that the Rangers are at least checking into this. 2 years of control. Estimated arb cost between and $5 and $6 million. Big left handed power bat. Has played both 1B and 3B. That would look nice in our lineup. What would he cost in prospects?
  9. The question I have is how many of these guys will play for the Brewers? We seem to trade a lot of these young prospects for help when we are in the hunt. Like many teams do. Do we constantly build up our system to trade it or have young guys play in Milwaukee?
  10. You beat me to it Sveum. To be fair the 2016 draft had some hits. And Grisham seems like he will be ok. But to say our drafts have suffered since he left is not correct. The drafts of 2017 thru 2019 seem to have more promise than the 2 before that. That said we hate to lose good front office talent. Hopefully it is a rumor that turns out to be incorrect.
  11. There is a current article in BrewCrewBall about Luke Voit as a trade target for the Brewers in exchange for Corey Ray and Aaron Ashby. Is there any merit to the thought it could happen? Probably not but that would be a scenario where you use Crawford as depth and aquire a bat, like John Briggs mentioned above.
  12. What would be the return on Yelich and Hader? Few teams would have enough prospect/mlb ready players to do that. And what a kick in the shins for Brewer fans!!
  13. Second to Arcia? We know that's not a great thing.
  14. Well lets hope that they both live up to the hype. And start a run of international signings that turn to gold.
  15. Crazy Hader trade thought. Trade him and sign Archie Bradley. Money would be close to the same. You get a good return for Hader and still have a good closer.
  16. Do we really expect more from Nunez/Franco than we did from Smoak/Gyorko?
  17. If Brewers Numbers numbers are correct and "dead" money is included the payroll then the Brewers are done adding players, unless there are some trades. They would be at the mid $80 million payroll with what they have. That is a bit of a scary thought.
  18. So with the Brewers moves tonight it looks like they saved around $11 million. That would take the payroll to around $71 million per Cots. If reports of a mid $80 million payroll the Brewers might spend around $15 million. Thoughts?
  19. With Knebel being traded I think that closes the door on a Hader trade. That bullpen would be full of question marks after Williams.
  20. Maybe the Brewers finally strike it rich with an international signing. After ignoring it for much too long. The Brewer farm system needs to produce impact players somehow. Our prospect list ranking needs to be much higher for us to remain competitive.
  21. The Brewers gave Medina more money than Perez. They must have liked him more? Do you all feel Perez has a better future?
  22. Unless there is a trade with one of our catchers in the works.
  23. Is there any chance the Brewers try to turn Williams into a starter? He has a 3 pitch mix and can warm up the radar gun enough to make me think it is possible. It is easier to find relievers than starting pitchers. Woodruff Burnes Williams. What are the chances?
  24. Maybe we could get a computer to simulate hitting. That way no one would have to run and get hurt.
  25. Stearns often zags when others zig. Might MA decide this is a good chance to go for it?
