    I just don't think either will sign those deals. Burnes is going to get a BIG payday if he doesn't fall off a cliff in the next 2 years, I mean a BIG payday! There isn't a chance in hell he takes that offer. I don't think we get Woodruff for less than 25 million per season either.

    I'm assuming one of the Brandon Woodruff starting at #1 and #2 is supposed to be Burnes? You literally just plugged the 2022 roster into the 2023 roster. No changes, no additions. That isn't re-tooling, that is a re-run.

    I like this plan, a LOT, except for the Chapman part. No way Jose. If we went with a Robertson type, he has closing experience this season, maybe use him at closer, and spend that 10 million we would have wasted on Chapman for some more starting depth, or possibly keeping Wong. Maybe flip Laureano for another reliever once Frelick claims a spot on this roster (which I think we all know is going to happen in 2023 if he doesn't break camp with the big squad.) I'm ALL in on getting Rodriguez and Holiday from Baltimore!!! ALL IN!

    Plug Jansen into any trade generator you want, what you are proposing we trade for him, with only two years of control is crazy whacked out insanity. If that is what it takes, I'm not even making a phone call.

    uggggh, god I hope that a catcher like Jansen wouldn't require a haul like that. If so, I'm out!

    Disagree 100%. Sterns said they are not going rebuild mode. (full steam ahead with rookies and prospects would be re-build mode) Trading Burns doesn't mean they are dead in the free agent market, I think just the opposite. They are going to have to do something to help soften the loss of Burnes, adding a free agent pitcher (Clevinger - but I highly doubt they get him that cheap) and a bat (Abreu) is exactly the kind of moves I would expect them to make if they Trade Burnes.

    Not a chance in hell you get Woodruff for 6 years 90 million, not a single possible chance of that happening. 15 million per season? Try 25 million, and that may still not get it done.

    Relax man, Brock is open to opinions about content on this site. As strongly as you feel about "JUST DON'T CLICK ON THEM" others feel just as strongly about getting the articles off the forums. They just clog up the forums in my opinion. There is already a spot for them, so why have them appear in two places? People who want to read them know where to find them.
