  1. http://brewersrumors.com/2013/04/06/ramirez-expect-to-hit-disabled-list/ Doesn't sound good. Doesn't say how serious either though but if it were the acl they would have 40 man space so hopefully 15 day dl. Hopefully Morris up and Gonzalez to third.
  2. Hopefully just precautionary....it didn't look that bad when it happened. Didn't seem to be in a huge amount of pain but I guess well see. Season for the brewers will be all but over if its anything even remotely long term
  3. I recently won a Ryan Braun autographed photo while eating at the 8/12 Restaurant. Only thing is...I already have one and have no real use for two of them. Looking to sell it or trade it. Would prefer a trade but I'm not looking for anyone in particular so if interested, just make me an offer. I'll post photos of it as soon as I figure out how....or I can email it to you upon request.
  4. Yuni was added very late, they made room for HIM on the 40 man...so we just as easily could have made that same room for Morris. It was like they decided he was too young and that was it. I hope he does well this year, but like you guys are saying, he's already 24, saving his option years at this point seems a tad silly.
  5. I know it's one game and it's premature to say this...but seeing Morris do well in AAA just makes me even more infuriated that our MLB team is throwing out Yuni and Gonzalez at 1b every night. I know he struggled in spring, but not giving him a shot for the first month of the season while playing those 2 washed up backup SS at first just makes no sense to me.
  6. I would almost rather it was JUST the HR, you can call that some bad luck or whatever, but above and beyond the 8 (?) HR in 3 games, the 40 hits is very, very troublesome.
  7. Aoki hasn't gotten on much in front of them, and the bottom half of the lineup has been pretty brutal. And we've left a lot of guys on base.
  8. The rest of the bullpen has looked pretty good at least. Though if they have to keep covering 3-4 innings every game it won't 'matter in a few months. Let's also keep in mind that our offense hasn't exactly scored a ton of runs here either. The Rockies staff was thought to be pretty bad and it's not like we've lost slugfests or anything.
  9. If this series is any indication about how the season is going to go, we're going to be out of it by June. 40 hits in 3 games?? Axford giving up 3 runs, 2 HR and counting here. 3 games only I know, but this is absurd. The Rockies aren' THIS good of a hitting team. Their whole lineup has destroyed us.
  10. Well so much for that...and so much for Axford returning to form. AWESOME.
  11. Well there's the over aggresiveness of Gomez we all love. Throws 3 balls in the dirt just like that and he eventually swings at one on 3-2. Awesome. Gotta hold them here, though to be honest, i'm not feeling a comeback tonight
  12. I wish MLB would change this rule. Unless there is an injury, if someone warms up before the inning, they should have to pitch to at least one batter. One, you're saving a manager who wasn't smart enough to get the guy up early enough to be ready. Two, the games take too long already. Now we had 8 warmups from a guy, a mound visit, a pitching change and now 8 more warmup pitches....between innings. Thats probably 5 minutes.
  13. Yup. The Chase Wright one I remember watching on Sunday night baseball...in Fenway. Might have been his first Yankee start too? The Bush one I actually saw in person at MP, I believe it was against Arizona and we all cheered when the fourth one was hit, not like you get to see that kind of history every day.
  14. Awfully sick and tired of the Rockies finding holes in the infield. Even more sick and tired of them getting yet another leadoff hitter on base.
  15. How do you have that good of an at bat and then go down looking? Pitch had plenty of the plate too.
  16. Now Ramirez...time to make up for those couple of balls you probably could have had...
  17. Can Ramirez play first? I'd imagine if we insist on playing Gonzalez/Yuni, that they would be much better at 3b.
  18. I just can't fathom how this is our master plan at 1b for the next 6 weeks. Two guys that can't find starting gigs anywhere as SS, let's get them both and play them at first, without any experience there. That's better than trying to let Davis learn or letting Morris try? Could he really be any worse? At least Morris IS an actual first baseman.
  19. While it's certainly too early to get freaked out, it has not been good for the starters. So far...3 starts, 15.1 IP, 12 runs, all earned and a ton of hits.
  20. I feel like if this was the Rockies, both of those hits this inning would have gone for IF singles. Just seems to be not our not. Again. Thankfully I have the sound off, what did Rock do this time?
  21. This series it just seems that everything the Rockies do has gone their way. That ball hit Ramirez right in the glove, yet he can't hang on.
  22. Awesome. Let the bottom of their order beat us up for a bit, the rest of the lineup is, so why not. Was it me or did Braun seem to give up on that pretty early? One more step and a jump, it only hit about halfway up the wall.
  23. Why send one of the slowest runners on the team there? You had 4 straight hard hit balls off of him, don't end the inning that way. The ball beat him by a mile...gotta be aggressive but that just seemed dumb. Ramirez may have slipped ever so slightly but it wouldn't have matter. Didn't even take a good throw to get him. Pretty nice play by the catcher there, I have no idea how that ball stayed in his glove.
