  1. I am back in the T-Rats game and I just watched RHP Stiven Cruz walk a guy, give up a liner single to LF, get a hard hit fly out to Hall at 1B, and then walk the bases loaded in the next AB. I would really love it if our pitchers would start hitting the zone with more regularity as this evening progresses. LOL.
  2. Mudcats get two runs back here in the 5th with a bases loaded groundout to deep SS and a throwing error to 1B on the DP attempt. You love to see it. Avina narrowly misses a deep ball to the wall on the next pitch. 6-3 Mudcats and we'll head to the 6th.
  3. After the rbi single. Then the HBP. He luckily induces the 3-1 double play ball. The Highs and Low(s) are ongoing in 2023. 4-3 Mudcats. I miss those days of 3 straight strikeouts for Quinton. Sad face.
  4. Low now gave up an rbi line drive single on a 1-2 count. A ball dead center cut. When you can't locate, you probably lack confidence trying to nibble or pitch outside the zone. Let's hope he can bear down here. 4-2 Mudcats.Nope. He just beaned the next batter. He's a total wreck right now. Goodness. In the process the bean ball injured his catcher. Ugh.
  5. He got a K with another full count. Finally found the plate. This is the very definition of walking a tightrope. One down.
  6. Low two full counts. Two walks to start the 5th inning. I have seen this far too many times for my liking as his season has progressed. Let's go young men. Let's start controlling your pitches. Third straight full count. Third straight walk. And these ball fours aren't even close. I'm telling you, no matter the stuff, this is happening far too often as his season has advanced. A real bummer.
  7. Meanwhile, in Carolina, RHP Quinton Low walked his first batter faced in the top of the 5th. Ugh. I am still waiting patiently for that version of Low that finds the strikezone.
  8. Yeah, it's the worst it has been since joining the ML ranks. It's an aggressive promotion. But, I don't think any of us would have anticipated this type of command regression.
  9. Thanks for sharing. The T-Rats MiLB.TV feed is unviewable due to some 'Cache' snafu. I dunno. Frustrating.
  10. Meanwhile, elsewhere in baseball...😭
  11. A two-run bases clearning two-out double to deep LF off the bat of SS Daniel Guilarte (4 hits in the series so far) has the Mudcats in front 3-0 in the 2nd frame. Let's GO!!!
  12. No Sir. It's a hairline scapular thing. So, I imagine they are going to play it safe and ensure he's fully healthy. I think I recall a minimum of 6 weeks (? off the top of my head) once it was unofficially diagnosed and shared by ARob. I could be wrong.
  13. - RHP Pedro Fernandez was placed on the 'Temporarily Inactive List' by the Nashville Sounds
  14. Fitpatrick works around a double deep off the wall in LF (hanging change-up what it looked like to me) and hung a few pitches in the 2nd frame. He gets away with it all unscathed. Chirinos throws out the runner trying to score from 2B on a wild throw to 1B from Guilarte bringing Chirinos off the bag on a weak chopper. Chirinos quickly turned and fired to Diaz at home plate and they had the runner by a good 6'. 0-0 and we're on to the bottom of the 2nd.
  15. Areinamo just smacked a line drive double to the deep LF corner at 101 mph off the lumber. Love to see it.
  16. We're on the way in Zebulon as LHP Brian Fitzpatrick completed his first inning at Low-A Carolina. Chopper to Guilarte at SS. Pop up to Chirinos in 1B foul territory. Pop up in shallow foul territory to 2B Jadher Areinamo. In a debut, you are looking for control. Fitzpatrick had it. Several swings and misses - mainly heater and slider early (didn't see a cutter or a change). Looking sharp! Mudcats will bat now.
  17. Well, dang. Nashville @ Indianapolis Game #2 has been postponed. That stinks.
  18. Just a friendly reminder to any and all:RHP Jacob Misiorowski leading OF Jackson Chourio and the Shuckers will be the MiLB.TV free game of the day tonight. They face the Cubbies' extremely formidable first place Tennessee Smokies who just absolutely smoked RHP Christian Mejias and the Shuckers bullpen last night, 14-1. C Jeferson Quero also returns from a prolonged absence due to a hand bruise. If you care to check these young prospects out, here's your link:You'll Find the 'Watch' Icon (eventually) on this page HERE

  20. Boy, the DSL Crew #2 lost it late with a six-spot surrendered in the top of the 6th. That paired well, symmetrically, with their own 6-spot in the bottom of the 1st. But, sheesh, it didn't help their bottom line.
  21. I don't begrudge CC anything. In my younger days, I used to question CC on numerous occasions. As I aged, had a kid and got married, I grew to understand: he's an extremely underrated and gifted manager and I'm just a dad who loves baseball. He plays the players on the roster. He has to manage egos, rest, volatility etc. When it's working, everyone loves him. When the team is scuffling, they are questioning the Deadline; the bullpen decisions; the lineup. Everything. I trust him inherently. It's up to the players to perform, imho. Hopefully he strikes the right chords here as the season nears its end to nudge them in the appropriate directions.
  22. As predicted in last night's Minor League Link Report: No Garcia for Wisconsin tonight. Hopefully, it's just something nagging and not something lasting. Tough luck with injuries in 2023 for the young infielder.
  23. It was an ending befitting a tight 10-inning tilt versus the Rockies. As you say: '...hey, they won!' That's that, my friend.
