  1. Arizona wisely trades down and takes the Titans desperate need to trade up for their QB. QB Will Levis' slide is going to end. He is going to be a Titan.
  2. Ok, Pittsburgh goes CB Joey Porter Jr. Feel good story. Pitt struggles developing CB's for whatever reason. There's obviously the bloodline here within the organization but I don't quite understand what the Steelers are doing now - they have a man scheme and they now have essentially all zone CB's. Perhaps they are changing things this year?
  3. Alright, Pittsburgh is officially on the clock. Round 2 is underway. It has been reported in multiple locales they've been taking a load of phonecalls looking to trade up - I've heard of five teams wanting to move into that spot (yowza). The feel good possibility here is they grab Joey Porter's son.
  4. Of the remaining wideouts, I would expect a name from this list: A.T. Perry Rashee Rice Dontayvion Wicks Grant Dubose
  5. Available Players I would Love as Packers: Darnell Washington Sam LaPorta Michael Mayer Codey Mauch Cedric Tillman Brian Branch Luke Musgrave Adetomiwa Adebawore DJ Turner Josh Downs Antonio Johnson Sydney Brown Jonathan Mingo Gervon Dexter Keeanu Benton Matthew Bergeron Israel Abanikanda Tyjae Spears A.T. Perry Blake Freeland Ricky Stromberg
  6. Early word pre Rds 2 n 3 I am reading via Tony Pauline: 1) Lot of love for Cincy's Scott (WR) and OSU's Wypler (OC) amongst many teams 2) Expect a run on Centers, actually - all the Big 10 guys seem to be in play early including Penn State's Juice Scruggs 3) Titans are lead candidate to grab Levis and, apparently, the Raiders tried to trade back into Rd 1 for Hendon Hooker 4) Rd 3 could see San Fran target a qb they've been linked to for awhile - Dorrian Thompson-Robinson 5) Tho we likely do not see a Trey Lance trade it seems likely, actually, Jonah Williams is sent out (Full read HERE)
  7. Really nice concise write-up from Justis Mosqueda (one of the better Edge analyst guys in all of Packers Twitter) on the Van Ness pick. Mosqueda is never hesitant to belittle a Packers pick. He really likes this one: Full Article Here
  8. One thing is almost a certainty with every single Packers draft: The vast majority (fans and pundits) will hate the 1st round pick - they hated Gary, they questioned Jaire and Clay etc. Even one of my favorites in Tony Pauline seems to never get the Packers selections early - last night included (tho, he absolutely loved the Jaire and Elgton picks at the time) as he didn't see the need. I think many of us here understand: you can literally never have enough pass rushers and when Gary went down that couldn't have been more obvious. They don't know if Hollins will repeat that efficacy or if Enegbare takes another step. They don't know when Gary returns and what his play will look like coming off a major injury. Anyhow, the pick made and makes tons of sense. It's a worthy swing at a very young extremely large, fast, and athletic multi faceted rushing weapon. It isn't rocket science why they grabbed him. And, it always goes back to the age old adage: Nobody knows. Nobody. How these players will pan out.
  9. Mauch is really good. Versatile too. Classic Packers OL and he did meet with the Packers staff. I would be thrilled, honestly. He's a classic 10-year OL guy.
  10. For comparisons sake only. You can see, if he managed a few more bench reps, we're looking at a near super freak except for the vertical explosion. Bigger than clay - taller; heavier; bigger hands; longer arms but also has a better 40, 10 and 20 yard split. Whereas Clay had slightly better agility and hence measured more as a strictly stand-up guy. Anyway, it's quite apparent why the Packers wanted this young ball of clay:
  11. Yeah, it's a bit odd right? Strength comes in so many different forms. Knowing he was a bull rusher, as well, it was odd. Must be that lower body power, explosion, and those 34" long arms?
  12. I think they could also just stand pat with the two picks comfortably as well. In a draft widely considered very deep through 60 or so, despite the lack of high end star-type prospects, it may prove beneficial to have two stabs en lieu of one?
  13. I don't think it's that crazy. They probably won't do that but in a draft extremely strong at TE, and with a roster very thin, why not take two stabs at your favorite ones?
  14. I absolutely love LaPorta so that would make me incredibly happy. He looks to be the next great Iowa TE. It has been rumored for quite some time the Packers are infatuated w Hyatt - I just don't know if he lasts that long.
  15. I'd also be unsurprised if this is where Keion White goes - I believe he's also in KC tonight? It'd be fun to pair White with Karlaftis.
  16. I'm always curious to see what the Chiefs do late Rd 1. Gadget? Solid defensive addition? It's been rumored they like WR Jalen Hyatt.
  17. The rich get richer in Philadelphia. Wowsers. They are just stacking that front defensive 7. Incredible 1st round for the Eagles.
  18. I sure as hyeck hope so. As you and I both know, he deserves the opportunity given what he's shown on a night-in and night-out basis. For me, at this juncture, it's Andrews and Contreras who 'should' be the next arms up.
  19. The strength will come indeed. People need to remember when he arrived at Iowa he was only 220 lbs. The weight on the frame came first and he's still very explosive. The refinements will come. This is a massive ball of clay who was Brugler's 10th overall rated player. He's young with tons of upside. He can Edge (obviously) but he can also play over the C/G like a Zadarius Smith.
  20. T-Rats lose again and rehabbing Gus Varland takes the loss giving up 3 runs in 1/3 IP at High-A Wisconsins. Yikes. 3 Hits and a walk.
  21. Tyler Black brought the winning Braves run home with another throwing error from the hot corner. Lots of errors on routine plays early in this new experiment.
  22. Sea Chickens are having a really nice first round. Wowsers.
  23. Interesting:
  24. OR their TE of choice. It would make a ton of sense. I also don't think it would take both 2's. Would it?
