    What I read (and I never look at kickers) is he suffered an ACL tear to his non-kicking leg after a fantastic 2020 season and has struggled since that injury with accuracy. I have to think the Packers think they might have something? BUT, this feels as underwhelming as the Clifford pick. Because, well, it's a 72% this year kicker.

    OF Joe Gray Jr. walks it off with the sac fly! LET'S GO! Goodness, they needed this one. Big time. Also, really happy for OF Micah Bello to get that lead-off double to knock across Ward early.

    He looks awful. He really does. There's no getting around it. Chasing swings. Swing is super sloppy as are his eyes and head. It literally happened out of nowhere. He went from looking like our best 2B prospect to 'What the heck is going on here?' in one week. I don't get it.

    Let's hope it changes. I agree his stuff looked very good early but he's struggled of late. We can really only hope he gets back to that earlier impressive form.

    Manfred's man scored for Beloit in the top-half of the 10th. T-Rats trail 3-2 headed to the bottom of the half. They have a chance to get the proverbial monkey off their back. They've lost way too many close contests to these Beloit Sky Carp. It. Is. Time.

    Boy Varland is not showing what we'd expect in his first two outings. I wonder what's going on there. I went back and watched his first outing and his fastball looked uncannily flat whereas every outing at the MLB outing it had significant movement.

    Coming from Fennell, this means quite a bit. He's been critical of Gutey picks in the past - last year he was critical of the overall talent on the roster. He does not mince words. He really likes the Packers draft to date.

    Uglem loves the Karl Brooks pick. And, I tend to really value Uglem's opinion as he just knows football: I'll defer to him here.

    There's our hopes for a Run Stopper. Sixth Round grade. Drafted in the 6th round. Can't complain. Not overly athletic whatsoever so certainly doesn't fit the RAS obsessed folks. But, as a run stopper with a little bit of pass rush juice sure?

    I think best case scenario is ol' QB Matt Flynn. If they get that type of production and performance there, I'm won over. As you've seen, however, I have sincere doubts.

    I am approaching that territory where I am also searching for a way to get RB/FB Hunter Luepke or Purdue's CB Cory Trice. I really don't quite understand how Trice is still there given his athleticism and production.

    Yeah, of those, I have to say Wypler, Ojomo, and Perry would be unreal in the 6th Rd.

    The Packers definitely have a type and Wicks meets that criteria. He was the 4th of 5 WR's meeting the Packer Report Packers WR criteria. The drops, like Watson and like Doubs, just appear to not matter to the Packers. As a fan, it's a bit nerve-wracking. Hopefully, they are sub 10%. Sub-10% drops is palatable.

    If I recall, Morley called this back in early March in one of the "Pack-A-Day" pods. He loves Wicks. He must be so stoked.
