We're all coming off a shortened Spring Training. We need to work the kinks out. All over-reactions and hot takes are welcome. Let's get 'em out in the open and pull the rain tarp over 'em.

It was originally a joke. The joke fell off the plate like a Ureña wild pitch. I'll go back to the drawing board. I can do better.

Nice bounce back inning for the maligned Ureña. Like to see it.

I just wanted to dream of Rowdy. Now, I'm back to reality. ?

You have to love an ump who gives a pitcher nothing as he's walking runs in and then gives a guy the benefit of the doubt on a pitch 9" above the zone. That's good stuff. lol.

This feels like a game where we could throw a position player on the mound for an inning. I, for one, want to see what Rowdy can toss across the plate.

This being said, this ump is classically giving nothing near the corners. Come on, mahnnnn.

    Ureña looks great. LOL.

7 Full counts for Woody in 3 and 2/3rd innings. Ummmm, back to the drawing board. Here's hoping he can regain his 2021 form.

Welp, just tuned in and I see Woody picked up where he left off in Spring Training. Gulp. No bueno!

Huh. That’s certainly a Take. It is a take I do not agree with nor understand, admittedly. I am grateful to watch Greatness on a consistent basis. And, whether you think he is ‘One of the Greats’, I think you will find the vast and overwhelming opinion is: He is One of the Greats. But, also, I respect your right to have an opinion. He has excelled in a fashion I simply have never achieved in my Life and I respect his abilities beyond measure not to mention his innate ability to overcome his early career adversity. I could, personally and again just my opinion, care less about the perception of what an athlete is supposed to do or has to do to qualify in fans’ minds of what constitutes their measure of Greatness. I simply believe it is a redeemable quality to appreciate what you have, what you’ve witnessed, and what you’ve enjoyed while you have it. I have no idea what comes after his career at the GBP qb position but, man, we’ve been so blessed for 3 decades unlike nearly all other fan bases.

One game does obviously not a prospect make, but it certainly stings just as much as it makes the heart warm to see our former prospects excelling in their new situations. I hope Renfroe has a career year. Lol.

Apparently 24 yo Dwayne Haskins was struck and killed by a car this morning? Man, that is tragic. Prayers and sympathies to his friends and loved Ones.

Such an unfortunate outcome for a late round prospect. And, it’s really nice to see these sentiments concerning the Packers’ staff on hand given what I saw when Ojabo went down.

I follow quite a few people, amigo. And, I still consider Tony Pauline one of the best and most consistent. I am merely pointing out all the hype has been about Raimann for quite some time (which it has - with some even sneaking him into Rd 1. Personally, at his age, and knowing the consensus seems to be he is still rough around the edges, that would be a pass for me in Rd 1) and this is the first I’ve heard of Goedeke in a bit. That’s literally all I am saying. And, as I’ve said before, I just don’t find much enjoyment at NFL.com and, well, that’s my perogative. Regardless, to your tune, I think you’d enjoy the Zierlein; Bruegler; Feldman pod just released. It’s an easy and in depth listen if you have the time:

Whew...with the bases juiced, Victor Victor-Mesa misses a Grand Salami by a mere few feet as Lutz tracks it down in Left Center. 13-11 Shuckers victory after 11. The victory will go to breaking ball specialist Arnaldo Hernandez, who managed to get out of a bases loaded jam to close the 11th after Felix Valerio’s go-ahead two run jack in the top of the same frame. Hernandez struggled a bit of with his fastball as his pitch count elevated into the 30’s, walking 2 to load the bases. After K’ng Forming Shucker Luis Aviles Jr. in an at bat where Luis may not have seen a strike, Arnaldo manages to dig a bit deeper with an elevated pitch count and get the ‘W’. As a side note: Tho he had a fielding error and a throwing error, I think we might have something in Ashton McGee. He has some athleticism in a nice frame and he certainly looks the part at the Plate. I’ll be watching as the season progresses. Do we have a legit 3B prospect in the system?!? Stay tuned!

I went to put my daughter to bed and it’s 13-11 Shuckers Top of 11? LOL. This game may not end.

Chiri Chirino gives up 2 opposite field singles, struggles with control and location, and hits the next batter. With the bases juiced, he gives up a sac fly to Left but manages to get out of the inning on a very impressive K on 94 mph high heat. 10-10 going to 10.
  22. Joseph Zarr
Brock Holt with a quiet workmanlike day leading off as the DH. Really dialed in after his first AB which he was a wee overmatched.

This Shuckers game is nuts. Erceg was let down by a Zamora bobble of a routine double play ball previous to giving up an 0-2 double to former Shucker Aviles Jr. on a mistake hanging breaking ball. The same can be said to his pitch to Cantrelle for the 3-run knock. Erceg clearly has Major League stuff but it is going to take time and he really needs to work on that breaking ball location. A lot to like there.

I'm really looking forward to seeing these young men in action. This is such an interesting blend and such a uniquely different opening roster than 2021. I am consistently finding Low A and High A filled with excitement these days.

This Middle Aged Man just climbed off his enormous barn roof (we've had massive wind storms this way and have lost sections of roof - definitively not a fun activity for an aging bag of bones) after patching up some sections...and hopped over to MiLB.Tv and got his yearly subscription. I'm tuning into Low A, High A, and AA all season long and, well, frankly, I'm excited about this. Heck of a pitching match-up tonight for the Shuckers. I'm unsure what my wife thinks...surely she'll have some thoughts.
