  1. I believe I've found my number 1 late round prospect in Appalachian St. Interior Offensive Lineman: 'Baer Hunter'. Seems self-explanatory. I've never seen him play. Know nothing about him. BUT, it would appear: this is destiny.
  2. Just a quick 2 video stack of why the Packers are so adamant about keeping and paying Aaron Rodgers for as long as he is willing to play in the NFL and, specifically, play in Green Bay. The man is legitimately on another Level in terms of thinking the game in the game and executing. The 2012 vid Ben Fennell posts is such an incredible brief look into how much the QB carries in each and every play. This is the Good stuff. Edit to Add: You have to imagine, for a Head Coach with all that is going on in-game and within the Team, to have an asset like Aaron Rodgers' football brain at the helm managing the offense is just a dream scenario so you can focus in on all the other details and minutiae.
  3. Yes indeed it is and, as far as I know (via discussions at Widmer in Portland, OR), I believe GI is actually now brewed in Belgium at their InBev facilities there. A Classic Modern microbrew story.
  4. Best Take in this thread. Agreed. Goose Island is overpriced and over rated beer with a Goose head on it. I personally think people are drawn to the Goose...and, like a goose, it is filled with sh!t. ?
  5. If we don’t play today’s game, can we re-do yesterday’s game?
  6. No Tatum and still no Robert Williams. The Celtics are a tough tough Out when healthy and fully stocked. Let's hope the Buckaroos pull this out. More importantly, let's hope the Bucks face the Bulls in Round 1. ?
  7. Interesting. We hear quite a bit on Raimann (who is already 24-25 yo). Now, we're starting to hear about his teammate who is clearly also highly thought of. Will be curious to see where and when he ends up.
  8. Thanks for the heads up on 'the Beast'. That sounds like quite the tantalizing piece of 'literature'! I just wanted to post: I just realized we are witnessing the lead up to a Draft whereby 8 Teams have multiple 1st Round picks. This is patently insane. That's all I wanted to say. This has to be some kind of record.
  9. File with some hiccups to open the 3rd inning. Lead off double, 2-run Bomb, followed by a double. Let's hope he limits the damage. Nashville trails 2-0 with 2 men down and aforementioned double standing on Second Base.
  10. In a Day and Age it is all too easy to be pessimistic and, in a manner of speaking, expect the absolute worst I am all Roses with the Brew Crew. We've made the Playoffs 4 years in a row. I couldn't even fathom this state of fandom in my wildest dreams in the doldrums of the 1990's. I am in my Golden Era. And, my friends: I absolutely friggin' LOVE it. I used to be a pessimistic Wisconsin sports fan, like a really pessimistic sports fan - and boy, I swear, the Packers try to get me back there nearly every post-season (whewwwwwwwww...still taking deep breaths Gents!) - but life is too short and I have other things in my life I can invest in getting worked up over. I guess, what I realize is: I've turned a new leaf as I head into my older years. I truly enjoy watching the Milwaukee Brewers. There, I said it. I truly enjoy following the organization as a whole because it brings me Joy. AND, that, that is what this can be all about in its highest form. And, damn, it feels good. I know...I know...our offense is most likely going to be middling to average this year. I don't care. We had an absolutely terrible start at the Plate last year and then we had a torrid 3 month run in all facets. Heck, if we don't lose our mojo those last two weeks of the 2021 season, I truly truly believe we might have gotten to the World Series. And, the fact we lost some close ones to Atlanta and, ultimately, the Series? Well, thems the breaks. That's just the way it goes - honestly, most of the time. I'm going to root for Christian Yelich to turn it around this season. He doesn't have to be MVP Yelich - we probably never get there - but, I'm not going to limit that possibility. I'm going to continue rooting for Keston Hiura to rebound and find his former ways at the plate. I'm going to continue enjoying the youthful exuberance and joy for the game I see when Wily and Luis play the Infield together. I'm going to allow the players on the Team I love to be human and make mistakes and go through hot and cold spells. But, most importantly: I'm in it for the entire 162 games and whatever post-season I am blessed by. I have also grown to absolutely love Craig Counsell as our Manager. I used to scratch my head and question the way he managed the Bullpen. Now? Now, I sit back and relax and know he is the Man I want to lead this team and he sure as heck knows his players better than I think I do. I love his demeanor. I love the way he leads. I love his connection to the state I was born in, grew up in, first farmed in, and, ultimately, left behind as I moved into the rest of my life. I love the way he handles those daily interviews. And, I love the way he supports the Players (case and point: the comments he made today concerning Jake Cousins uneven performance. That's my Captain and I love it). I want the team I've rooted for since I was literally 3 years old to succeed. In my wildest dreams: I want to pop champagne after a miraculous World Series run and victory. I want the players to experience success but most importantly I want to enjoy watching the game of baseball. And, I have chosen the Milwaukee Brewers as my team since I turned 4 yo and left those woeful Cardinals in the dust. It's 2022: Let's get it!
  11. Well dang. That was a hanger. And, this ump stinks. That was a 1-2 count he took from Corbin. His zone is erratic as all get out.
  12. I think I am really really going to Love watching Cutch batting as a Brewer. This is what a veteran professional hitter looks like.
  13. Great ? Interested to see who that is and where we are and in what inning.
  14. Ok, Lads. Top of 5. Let's get a run or two.
  15. We shall see, my friend. Where did he leave his last outing in ST? 80? I can't recall off-hand. I think they are aiming for 90 today if he is dialed - and he appears to have gotten stronger.
  16. Exactly. Even without his location, he has managed to do this efficiently. If he can repeat inning 3, he can go 6 or 7.
  17. Hey now. 1 run and Burnes. We take that any day of the week regardless of the result. Good start.
  18. <Coughs> I like our chances here, Lads. I saw some tells in Hendricks delivery the first few innings. The Boys are going to start keying in on the Change and return to 10 run wins vs. these lowly scrubs from Chicago here in the next couple innings.
  19. Well, the fact of the matter is: We don't have the choice or say in the matter regardless. Let's hope he turns it around and finds some semblance of Form. It's really all there is to it.
  20. I'm going to change the sheet music here: Burnesy is going to find his locations and start dominancing. Brew Crew bats are going to wake up. They are shaking the cobwebs off...?
  21. Good to see we are in Prime 'Been Bruised by Watching Brewers Bats for too Long' early season form to boot. Andy Haines, we tip our glasses and salute you in Pittsburgh. Stay thirsty, friends.
  22. Hendricks currently owning our Lefties on the fading Change. Yowza.
  23. Lil pep in Jace's step on the trot to First. Love to see it.
  24. The word I would use to describe this Ump's Zone: Mysterious
  25. Corbin clearly doesn't have his cutter or his location today but he's fighting and slogging through for now. These conditions suck across the board. On to inning 3.
