  1. I like the looks of C Austin Rapp who is on an OV now per several reports. 6’10” Australian incoming Sophomore and shoots it from 3. He needs the UW S&C program and work with Steimsma to get a little more physical in the paint
  2. Guessing the staff told him they are bringing in some guards and he would have no playing guarantees
  3. I’m going to be nervous until I hear Blackwell and Winter have signed a deal for next year. That’s the top priority. There are a couple nice players they appear to be in on and several other that would be developmental type player. That being said I’d be onboard for some Mack truck action for sure. He will bring toughness wherever he ends up
  4. I thought Houston got away with a ton of contact at the beginning of the game. At the end of the day though Tennessee didn’t shoot it well enough
  5. Many of the SEC schools seem to have mega donors that step up and contribute when necessary. Not sure UW and some other Big schools have that either.
  6. I think all the elite 8 teams were Bart Torviks top 8 ranked teams this year. There was a pretty clear divide between those top teams and everyone else. The way things look now it’s Duke at the very top and everyone else a notch below
  7. Crazy game. Yanks launch a few homers. Brewers dink, dunk, dribble their way back into it
  8. That’s just ugly
  9. Of the Wisconsin natives that have been contacted by UW maybe Rohde could start. I think the others including Kinzinger would be for bench roles. UW does have a handful of open roster spots to fill though
  10. I would say the SEC schools have large athletic department budgets and have been winning the NIL/transfer portal era.
  11. I really didn’t think Ole Miss would be able match the physicality of MSU in this game. I was wrong. It’s been a fist fight so far
  12. Bubu is pretty interesting. Good size, skill and fluid athlete. Appears to shoot the three ok. He rebounds, steals and passes well for a guard. No idea how he translates to Big but that is for Gard to decide. Also a native of Canada and unsure of the money he would demand
  13. I think the length and athleticism of Alabama on the perimeter likely had something to do with bothering BYU shooters. They really closed hard and made BYU dribble or pass much more the UW did from my observation
  14. It is a rather bizarre cause of cancer for sure
  15. Nate Oates has Alabama playing a similar style to what UW has started to play recently. Fun to watch when the threes are falling
  16. Bama sets NCAA tournament record for made threes with over 8 minutes left to play
  17. BYU getting curb stomped by Bama who might score 150 on them if this keeps up
  18. Chourio on pace for approximately 500 Ks
  19. Curt Hogg: Joe Buck calling a homer to the short porch in right "a pop up" off the bat is as Yankee Stadium as it gets.
  20. Just the game for today. We’ll see what happens tomorrow
  21. Nice story from the Athletic: An MRI found a cancerous spot on Al LeBoeuf's hip. The cause? Getting hit by a pitch in 1985. He shouldn’t be alive, but here he is — and he's MLB's oldest rookie on this year's Opening Day. http://dlvr.it/TJnNKh
  22. Feels like this is the type of player that is available to us. Give Kirk Penney some players with different skill sets and see how they all fit together on the court.
  23. Not surprising news on Hunter- can't win them all in the portal. A couple other observations of note. There was a report that the UW staff really wants to add some Wisconsin kids to their roster after losing Gilmore, McGee and Klesmit. Rhode, a transfer from VA was named as a possible target. Also noticed that UW appears to be contacting some taller guards that can shoot. They have 6' 7" Jones from New Zealand coming in next year who is pretty athletic and can handle it pretty well. I like this development- nothing wrong with trying to get longer around the perimeter.
