    Regardless of position I could see Gard pursuing a defensive minded big. Winter is basically a more athletic version of Crowl from what I’ve seen of him. We could use a rim protector and rebounder

    Unfortunately PBev and Bobby didn’t play much on Thursday against the Pelicans and Kris got 30+ minutes of action. I think he had almost more turnovers that points, 1-7 from 3, just not good.

    Quite a bit up in the air right now as far as roster construction for next year. Five players left the program so far leaving three open scholarships for next year. Power forward will be a priority for sure. I saw that Brandon Angel hit the portal too which would also be a nice fit there. There is no way Freitag isn’t part of the backcourt rotation next year IMO. Blackwell backed up Storr last year and had a nice stretch of games before he got injured in the BTT so he may be in the mix for that 3 spot as well. Really just need to see where the dust settles after transfers enroll to get a clear picture of the roster for next season

    I got a chuckle out of the one TC judge saying that she generally doesn't like to start off a meal with dairy... The look on the local judges faces and I believe one said "What's wrong with you?"- hilarious

    I do not find this surprising at all. AJ wants to test the NBA waters and is likely a long shot to get drafted. He will go with the best NIL offer if he pulls out of the draft process. I would not say the door is entirely closed on UW but also not likely he returns.

    I’m with you. I guess Wes did himself no favors with a 50% K rate in spring training ABs. No matter where he starts the year he really needs to get a handle on that particular issue

    It’ll be interesting to see where Gus lands. He certainly has skill, but I would guess he needs to level down to get some guaranteed playing time.

    I’m watching Top Chef Wisconsin with my wife. Never watched the other 20 or so seasons but I’m enjoying seeing the scenery and setting as someone who was born in Wisconsin and moved away years ago

    Fidler and Kyle would both be good additions. Fidler is a good athlete, pretty long, can shoot and get to the rim. Kyle is pretty good around the rim, physical, and rebounds and blocks shots. I know Fidler is planning a visit this weekend. Maybe a commitment is coming? I have not heard if Kyle has a visit scheduled.

    I couldn’t agree more, Storr is not ready for the NBA and Wisconsin would take him back in a heartbeat. I’m putting some stock into his statement which had a tone of goodbye, thanks for everything Badger Nation, etc. Just seemed liked a goodbye the way I read it. I am also familiar with players like Sharif O’Neal, Shaq’s boy, who entered the draft process and did not get drafted and now playing in the G-league. I could see Storr going that route too

    I agree with everything you said. I understand the scholarship gymnastics that can occur. To clarify my point about not waiting on his decision was meant more about recruiting over him in the portal. I doubt Gard is putting offers out to the wings he has saying he isn’t sure yet about Storr and how that might affect their playing time. We aren’t likely to get too many quality guys coming in under those circumstances.

    Not looking great now. I’m going to the game in NOLA Thursday, I hope they can play a bit better and pull out the W against a pretty solid Pels team

    My sense is that UW is likely treating it as if he’s gone. I believe if a player elects to be part of the draft he can not return to college no matter if he’s drafted or not. AJ would need to remove his name from the draft by a certain date before he could return to college. The issue is that UW can’t sit by and wait for his decision during that eval period. My guess is that UW may have told him they will make it work somehow if he elects to return which may end up being good news
