It’s going to be tough either way playing a fourth game in a row. I thought it looked like we tired at the end of todays game- missing jump shots, etc. It will only be worse tomorrow. I think they can hang for a bit with I’ll annoy, not sure about the second half though. Nebraska would be the easier matchup for sure

No doubt. He was the leading scorer but I thought his full court D on Smith was disruptive for them all game and culminated in the big offensive foul call at the end. Props to Gard again for coming up with that defensive wrinkle which Purdue really had no answer for all game

No matter the outcome of this game UW has to be pleased with how their pressure D has impacted this game

Painter was bragging about getting 4 charge calls against MSU yesterday. Today Loyers feet are completely off the ground as he throws himself backwards. That was supposed to be taken out of the game the last couple years

Really good win vs a tough team to play. Without Chucky it took a bit to settle in but once McGee took over at point the offense ran much better Great adjustment by Gard to go with Klesmit on Bouie and bring our bigs up to stop his penetration in the lane For a team that doesn’t block shots I saw two of the best all year with McGee’s and Storr’s blocks Stephen Bardo referenced it but this team is really good when they get downhill on offense. That is especially true for Crowl and Wahl There is nothing worse than watching things grind to a halt when they play back to the basket/ dribble down in the post. It reminds me of watching old Charles Barkley I think this team could make a nice run in the NCAAs

That was a fun game to watch as far as having little doubt about the outcome of the game goes. They haven’t had many laughers this year and this came at a good time. I thought Crowl and Hepburn really set the tone in the first few possessions and it was all clear sailing from there. Another solid performance from Blackwell as well I understand NW is down a couple guys so there is a good chance they can get to Saturday with another well played game

This sounds about right to me. He only played in AAA at the end of last season and not sure he is ready defensively yet either. It will be interesting to see where he plays to start the season

There are also a number of dark horse candidates to fill out the pen like Viera, Bukauskas, etc that I would like to see how they perform.

They have some athletes for sure and played hard when I watched them. They don’t really have any consistent outside shooters though. Everything they get seems to come off dribble penetration with their guards. Their season is likely over but a team to keep an eye on going forward

Mitchell’s swing looks a little different. I don’t recall reading anything about that this off-season but might be something to watch if he can elevate the ball and cut down on Ks.
