  1. If the FO sees more in Bauers than Santana this team is in a world of trouble.
  2. The main reason people do this is because of how Attanasio and the Brewer FO has dealt with FA recently. I really don’t see the Brewers obtaining significant value in FA or even a trade similar to Contreras happening this off-season, unless you have solid information to the contrary. However, maybe Mark has changed his tune and things will be different.
  3. I never meant that Mark was cheap. Just looking at past maneuvers he watches where every penny is spent. The best way to predict future outcomes accurately is to look to past history. It really isn’t that difficult.
  4. This was an inevitable Attanasio decision. There was absolutely no way the Brewers were going to sign Woodruff to ANY type of deal the way Mark runs the team.
  5. It was a lose-lose deal on the day we found out he needed shoulder surgery. There is no way Mark is going to sign Woody to a multi year deal.
  6. Come on, Oh baby don’t you want to go Come on, Oh baby don’t you want to go Back to the same old place Sweet home Chicago
  7. I don’t believe 2 months of Burnes will be higher than an entire season of Burnes.
  8. What kind of return do you believe we will for either Burnes or Williams? Top 50, top 20, top 10?
  9. I believe there will be many disappointed fans who are expecting to get a haul for Burnes, Williams, Adames, etc. Very recent trades for highly thought of veterans haven’t brought in highly ranked prospects that were originally anticipated. I would be very surprised if we would receive a team’s top 10 prospect for any of these players. Most GMs have recently been unwilling to trade this type of ranked prospect for a year (or less for a deadline acquisition) of a FA all-star.
  10. Two...entirely different issues, and I don't care to go further into the 2nd as it's pointless. Thank goodness, it would be great if you would continue to use this rule on all of your posts. Thank
  11. What a waste of time. Everything he said is a bunch of BS. Every answer he gave was just to burnish his reputation and want to look like he actually cares about anyone other than himself. Lies, lies, lies. His answers to the questions remind me exactly how a politician would answer them. I’m disappointed in the reporters (particular Milwaukee JS) not answer any tough questions or hold him accountable to explain his decisions.
  12. Mark isn’t going to say a word about the unfairness of the MLB’s payroll structure due to market size differences, as he is not going to bite the hand that feeds him. He is all in with the other owners when he cashes in and sells the Brewers. We are the suckers. not him.
  13. Let’s face it, managing in Milwaukee isn’t the “be all, end all” location that managers (or players) strive for to complete their career and cement their legacy. If you’re a doctor does working in Milwaukee enhance your career legacy if you have a job at Froedtert Hospital or the Mayo Clinic. Obviously Counsell doesn’t care if you like him or hate him, he doesn’t even know who you are and probably will never even meet you (unless you are stalking him). He is like 100% of us, he is only concerned primarily about himself and those close to him. Do you thinks he even gives a ratsazz if you boo him or even hate him, we are insignificant in his life and made no difference in his decision in taking a job with the Chicago Cubs and managing in Wrigley Field. Do you think he really cares if he is cut from the same cloth of anyone living in Milwaukee?
  14. He didn’t want to manage in Milwaukee any longer, from what it sounds like.
  15. No I was the one to have some patience with Rashan Gary. But you must of been disappointed when they got rid of Datone Jones, when you said he would be the second coming of Reggie White. Josh Jackson, DB 3 seasons Oren Burks, LB 4 seasons Royce Newman, OL 2+ seasons and counting NARRATIVE….lol
  16. But you told everyone the Brewers would match no matter what….
  17. That is what he says to rationalize his decision. I hope you don’t believe everything someone tells you (I.e. politician-T).
  18. Or move the Brewers to another city
  19. What did the Brewers offer Counsell?
  20. That is what most Packer fans said about Rashan Gary his rookie year, too!
  21. This move appears that the Brewers are going to go the rebuild route, with 1st base still an open position.
  22. That’s what I’m afraid of. Gutey hates to cut any of his higher draft picks and admit defeat no matter how evident it is that his pick is a failure. That is his biggest drawback and is the major difference between him and such highly rated GMs such as John Lynch, Brandon Beane, Howie Roseman, and Eric DeCosta. It is apparent that Love is no better than an average (or worse) NFL QB. He has very poor accuracy (57.2% the lowest of any starter) and he either over throws and under throws his passes consistently (especially deep passes and short passes) he doesn’t read defenses well (not aware of finding open receivers and throwing into double or triple coverage) and has bad decision making skills (3.4 % INT/%). He is rated 22 in QBR. No matter how poorly his surrounding players are, it is evident he isn’t a very good QB. These are not the traits of even an average QB. I don’t think Gutey can wait around to hope and pray that he will magically improve to become an average QB.
  23. I disagree. You have a much higher regard of the Packers than I do. I don’t see them winning 4 games. The most wins I see as I stated is 3 with a real possibility of less. I don’t think they are better than the Giants, Pats, Colts, Broncos, Titans, and Cardinals ( Murray back) much less the Bears or Panthers. Their defense and offensive have gotten worse during the easiest portion of their schedule. Love has taken a step back, with his accuracy and reading defenses (which were his same weaknesses scouts identified in college). They haven’t scored a TD in the first half since Atlanta in game 2. This team is a huge mess. It’s much too early to think that Maye goes at #2 with Marvin Harrison Jr. , Laiatu Latu, Keon Coleman, Amarius Mims, Joe Alt, J.C. Latham, Brock Bowers, and a few others. I don’t believe that Arizona will draft a QB with Kyler Murray still on the team. If the Packers and Love finish the season like I think they will and with extra 2nd and 3rd round picks I believe Maye is a real possibility. It would be foolish if he is available and Gutey passes because of his mistake picking Love 3 years ago.🤞
