    I trust the FO has a pretty good handle on the chemistry of the clubhouse and will keep that in mind. If they decide he won't sabotage the clubhouse, then I trust them. The Hader thing was more being shocked at trading a key player, whereas this would be adding someone for the final stretch run. In the end, we're getting next to nothing from the 3B position right now and are also forced to play Turang against LHP.

    I disagree. The terrible idea is keeping Anderson on the roster past today. At least Donaldson has good QOC #s (xSLG .538), is due for some serious positive regression (.076 BABIP!), and crushes lefties. Plus, we can stop playing Turang against LHP. Of course, I wouldn't mind a call up of Tyler Black, either...

    After this weekend, the Brewers will play all teams currently below .500 for the rest of the season leading into the final 3 game series against the Cubs....

    Except Urias hasn’t even been better than Monasterio or Turang. Urias has been terrible on defense this year, which is likely why they traded him.

    I have pretty high confidence in the Brewers pulling themselves to a playoff spot without Black. Like a 96% confidence.

    FWIW, run differential and xBA both go the way of the Brewers for the series. Brewers probably outplayed the Cubs, but baseball happens. Move on, enjoy the day off, and go after the Phillies at home.

    Plus the upside is there for him to give you more. At least you know he'll give you value with his on-base ability and speed.

    All this series means is the division isn't over like it would've practically been with one or two more wins. But I'll take starting with a 3 game lead entering the month of September any day.
