  1. Would also be nice if this was the series Tyrone Taylor started to regress to his mean. Because we're at the absolute lowest ebb right now with him.
  2. Going to be a tough series w/o Miley going tomorrow and the continuing issues in the middle of the order. Phillies are red hot. What's funny is that we actually have an advantage over the Phillies at the top of the order...
  3. Thank God it's not Jason Alexander...
  4. I'd take either. O'Neill not close to as bad as he started off the year. More upside than Perkins or Tapia. Cheaper than Carlson, too.
  5. Division rivals, I know, but Dylan Carlson is a player the Brewers could probably acquire right now if they wanted to. Out of a starting job now that O'Neil is off the IL. 107 wRC+ and upside as a former top 20 prospect. Would be similar to the Adames deal in 2021. He'd be a definite upgrade over Tapia and Perkins.
  6. I know. I'm talking about the call to make the start.
  7. This guy can just never stay healthy. Would love for Gasser to get the call, but I suspect it's going to be Rea.
  8. Because we have all these hitters striking out 40% of the time right? It's also worth noting we have a different GM this year...
  9. I would like that strategy better if they didn't have the upcoming schedule they currently do.
  10. Yeah. That's the thing. Not the Brewers MO at all. But the timing here just seems like it's as good as it's ever been for any of our players. What's even more bizarre is how the Brewers haven't even promoted him to AAA yet. Makes at least a small part of you wonder if they're considering a direct call-up to the majors.
  11. Yeah, at minimum he'd put up like a .360 OBP, which would be second best on the team after Yelich....
  12. Timing isn't any better with him killing AA and Rowdy out for a month/Winker continuing to underperform. It's not like AAA pitching is much better than AA pitching, either. There are relatively few players capable of doing this. Juan Soto was one. But I think Tyler Black's hit tool belongs in that category.
  13. Moustakas is another blast from the past that would help fill a hole in the lineup.
  14. I think Cody Bellinger would be a huge coup for this team at the deadline. Can play any spot in the outfield and 1B. And then potentially having Yeli and Beli back to back in the order fixes a lot of your offensive problems. I also wouldn’t mind reunions with McCutchen and/or Renfroe. I think we need at least two hitters. Could see Arnold doing something similar to what the Braves’ GM did in 2021 and acquiring several hitters in the lead up to the deadline.
  15. What a statement series! Brewers are the division favorites, no doubt. We’ve got the pitching. We’ve got the defense. Now, work that Contreras trade magic Arnold and get us some hitting.
  16. This is an absolutely ridiculous post. I literally said, “Lol okay. I don’t have the time for this.” Which gave you the last word on the subject as far as our conversation was concerned. I then responded to someone else, not you. Second of all, I’ve admitted I was wrong several times. Just the other week I admitted I was wrong about Winker and was now in favor of a DFA. Maybe you missed that… What’s more, and you might be able to refresh my memory, I can’t recall a time when you yourself have admitted you were wrong. And rarely do you actually contribute something substantive. All you ever seem to want to do is try to get under my skin. Case in point, by taking a ridiculous position that having the tiebreaker over the Reds doesn’t matter. You’ve seen people other than me point out how you’re wrong on the matter. Finally, enough with the personalized political garbage. Debate me about baseball, Thats fine and well within the purview of a baseball site. But don’t make personal attacks or make things political by invoking Trump. There’s no place for that here.
  17. Official scorer being a Reds homer.
  18. Payamps and Williams and get the sweep.
  19. Reds really want this bringing in Diaz this early.
  20. Tellez broke his finger shagging balls yesterday and is going to be out a month. Anderson is already on the IL for Jones.
