  1. And so can all of our catchers. I would trade one of our OF prospects and another piece for one of the Jays catchers.
  2. Some of this stuff is just incredible...New season can't come soon enough.
  3. Guess the Marlins just decided to get hot the last week of the season...
  4. Story of the season (or at least one of them): former Brewers, no matter how mediocre/terrible they are, lighting it up against their former organization....
  5. Pretty sure that Jace Peterson isn't outperforming Renfroe in avg and slugging. lol Not sure where you're getting your numbers from. Renfroe will have huge value as a steady veteran presence in the outfield while we're trying to break in Mitchell, Frelick, Turang, etc. Yelich will most likely be moved to DH on a semi-permanent basis.
  6. This guy's been towing the "non-tendering Renfroe line" for quite a while now. What an asinine decision that would be. We're struggling mightily on offense right now and the solution is to cut bait with our only regular hitter OPSing over .800 on the season??? Not to mention you will need an established, veteran presence like him in the outfield next year while you break in the young guys....
  7. His problem is that he leaves his fastball down in the zone all the time. It should be consistently waist-to-chest high to pair with his curveball.
  8. Yep. Wiegel and Sobotka are both out of the organization, with Sobotka out of affiliated ball entirely.
  9. Who else just assumed that was gone off the bat?
  10. Okay, Brosseau, you get a lefty to redeem yourself...
  11. If we don't make the playoffs, I think I'm going to cheer for the Braves out of the NL. Arcia has been starting for them quite frequently lately.
  12. If you can't do better than split with these Marlins with your season on the line, you don't deserve to go to the playoffs.
  13. No, apparently you are because you feel the need to stir up an old conversation when you already replied to that post last night. I chose to ignore it because this is a baseball site, and I didn't feel the need to debate the matter further.
  14. Gotta be competitive with your pitches tonight Ashby. Not too many wasted ones.
  15. Bad source, but I'll assume he's correct here. Phillies will be in Houston, too.
  16. Phillies conceding the game with a position player pitching after going down 13-4. At worst, we will have a chance to end the night tied for the final wild card spot with a win. Also, the weather forecast doesn't look too good for getting the final two games in. May get tonight's game in, but tomorrow is a stretch.
  17. If we win the rest of our games, I'm still pretty confident we'll be in the playoffs tbh. Would not have been the case had we lost this game.
  18. Again, I majored in astronomy, so I think I would know the earth's shape. You can argue about whether such a thing as "perfectly round" exists, but the earth is not perfectly round. It is an ellipsoid/spheroid.
