  1. Has nothing to do with health. Just go back and look at the scouting report grades. Chourio has a multi-time MVP ceiling. Mitchell does not even if he stays fully healthy. Mitchell has a high ceiling and could conceivably put up some great seasons, I agree. But it's still just not comparable to Chourio
  2. True. And I hope we start off in the NLDS. Just saying.
  3. I like Mitchell as much as anyone, but he does not. Chourio has a better hit tool and more raw power at all of 20 years age. While playing elite defense. The ceiling of Chourio is incomparable on this team.
  4. Going to be honest. If we end up in the Wild Card series, I think I want to face this Braves team the most with all their injuries. Then the Mets, Padres, and Dbacks in order.
  5. Who are struggling majorly themselves....Was just so obviously not the smartest statement.
  6. Just noticed Chourio untucks his jersey after every win. He keeps that up and he's liable to getting beaned in our next series in St. Louis.
  7. I'm not saying Haase isn't a superior option to Mejia. I'm just saying that doesn't justify having to stash him on the active roster over the next few weeks of critical games. Especially when it's questionable whether he'd actually be claimed by another team.
  8. Wow. Ozuna just got under that one. Otherwise that was going to be gone.
  9. I'm personally not seeing much that would lead a team to claim him if they didn't the first time around. And even then, I'd be fine with Mejia as backup to Contreras and Sanchez.
  10. Yeah. I really just don't see the point of Eric Haase anymore.
  11. Why isn't Turang pinch hitting here?
  12. Very nice job against Sale all things considered.
  13. I will take this version of Mis in the big leagues, please.
  14. All I want is a Sandlot game. Is that really too much to ask for?
  15. I wouldn't have much of a problem with Black playing the "Yelich role" between DH and LF. Yeli played every day under this same roster configuration. Mainly, we need a lefty bat who can get on base in Yelich's absence. If Haas isn't going to play, then I don't think it's worth having him on the roster.
  16. Also, it's probably time to think about jettisoning Haase. Hasn't played in nearly a week. He had the nice hot start, but just not sustainable with his underlying metrics. Could really use another left handed bat without Yelich, and we have Black just sitting there in AAA and already on the 40 man.
  17. Would really like to see Garrett Mitchell in the leadoff spot instead of Turang tonight. Mitchell has earned it with his plate discipline gains this year. Also, has a 161 wRC+ over the last month.
  18. Depends what you mean by “actual infielder”. If you mean sucks at fielding the infield and sucks at the plate…That’s nothing that the 40 man roster-crunched Brewers couldn’t get from Black, who they have stuck at AAA to this point, if they really wanted. Bottom line is Monasterio is actually solid on defense and versatile and we know how the Brewers value run prevention. There’s a reason why Biggio has been DFA’d by two different teams this year, including the Mookie Betts-less Dodgers.
  19. I doubt they'd sign Biggio over simply recalling Tyler Black. Problem is neither hit from the right side.
  20. Anyways, tough series to open the month, but I still feel pretty good about my 15-13 prediction. Bullpen getting healthier (Hudson, Megill, etc.) is going to be key imo along with some positive regression on offense from guys like Contreras and Hoskins.
  21. Honestly, who cares. Everything that poster posted was factual. You can do whatever you want ultimately, but don't act like the rest of us can't see right through the shtick.
