    Huh? Gasser was in the Hader deal. If Gasser is just a solid #3 or #4 starter the Brewers come out of that deal laughing.

    It's remarkable how easy this delivery looks.

    Ohtani isn't an idiot. He's someone who trusted his interpreter, a guy he's known for 20 years. I listened to Tim Kurkjian give an interview a couple weeks ago. These interpreters have only slightly less than power of attorney over their athletes when these guys come to the US. Tim mentioned how yes, they would even do things like set up bank accounts for players. It's incredibly easy to see how this could be pulled off without a player ever realizing it.

    For 95% of the teams in baseball I would say that's a suspect deal. But when you print money like the Dodgers it doesn't really matter.

    I think it's just Wilken. Black is probably a reason they're trying out Frelick at 3rd in the first place. They know he isn't the answer there this season. Just my guess.

    Not writing him off, but I'm not optimistic about his future as a regular. If Sal's a legit option on the infield I'd rather have him in there than Turang.

    Turang's bat doesn't play anywhere, though. Getting him out of the lineup would help mitigate Sal in the infield.

    Or he's just putting in additional training time. I don't get the idea that any time put in at 3B is automatically time taken away at hitting. You can't spend eight hours in the cage.

    Leodalis De Vries. He was the top International Signing of 2024. Switch hitting SS with power from both sides.
