O brother. I's really just the same 5 comments repeated over and over again at brewerfan.net these days. Sheets isn't a winner. Jenkins isn't clutch. Fire Wynegar. Etc... Russ, you forgot to mention your personal favorite, Yost stinks. Since Brazelton has come in the Brewers have gone triple, single, single. Maybe Peavey was just really good today.

That last out lowered Fernandez' ERA from 15.75 to 14.54! The Fernandez watch is on. He needs to pitch 2 innings with no earned runs to get his ERA under 10. Go Jared!

MiLB.com is reporting the Brevard game today has been cancelled due to "wet grounds."

Jason Childers DFA'd by the Devil Rays. Link

Pretty incredible story with RHP Kenny Ray having his contract purchased by Atlanta today. He struck Bonds out Thursday and the BBTN guys are already pimping him for Atlanta's closer.

For those who can't listen, there are play-by-play updates on the milb.com scoreboards, so you will be able to get a feel for how the games play out. There has also, in the past, been some games done in a Gameday format like on mlb.com. Not sure if that will be available or not, check the scoreboards to see. The big news is that some games will be available on video, with this feature being free in April and $19.95 for the remainder of the season. There are 2 games available today, unfortunately no Brewer affiliates. Check www.milb.com for details.

Arroyo goes yard himself to tie the Cubs/Reds game at 2.

Gross should be starting at 1st instead of Fielder.
  9. deeswan
Fielder stinks, they never should have traded Overbay.

I heard an unsubstantiated rumor that Max Scherzer is injured and has missed a couple starts. Anybody know anything about this?

TMJ feed now on, but the feed stinks. Not clear at all.

Although I'd recommend a browser change for other reasons (security and rendering issues), Casey, I get your message. But what exactly do you mean by "security and rendering issues"? Really, I've heard from a ton of people, mostly on this board, that I should change browsers. I haven't because I am change-averse when it comes to technology. I am not confident in being able to fix problems that arise. IE works for what I want to do and I am intimidated about changing to something else. As I've never looked at any others, I don't really know if I'm missing anything, so it's not a big deal.

Thanks Casey, I'll give those a try if I can muster up the courage to change. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif

It is like that in IE and in AOL's browser, I haven't tried any others. Any suggestions?

Not that I know of, and, generally, all other images show up fine. This goes for emoticons, posted images, personal icons, etc. Just no EZ Supporter icon. A total mystery.
  16. deeswan
This has been going on for a while, but nobody's EZ Supporter icon shows up on my screen. It says EZ Supporter under anybody who is, but the icon doesn't show. Not a huge deal, but it's bugging me because I can't figure out why. Any suggestions?

K's are WAY worse than all other outs It is my humble opinion that that is a fact.
  18. deeswan
They won't send Kolb out anyway. The only way he goes anywhere is if he gets DFA'ed. Regardless of his spring showing, he'll get a shot to pitch in the 7th-8th innings in Milwaukee, at least until he fails at that.
  19. deeswan
And why does Yahoo have the game as a final after the 7th inning? Rain? Yes, the sky opened up and the game got called.
  20. deeswan
Brewers, Brewers, keep turnin' up the heat.....
  21. deeswan
Sure Brady has 6 SB this spring, but he also has 3 CS and he's been picked off at least twice. Shheeesh.... So letting Brady try to steal to see if he can do better than last season is a bad idea? Sorry, but this is the time of year he should be doing this. If he can't get his success rate up now, then you shut it down starting April 3rd.
  22. deeswan
does anyone know anything about why he was let go Just a guess, but he's 28 and doesn't have a great track record. Probably had a marginal chance to begin with.
  23. deeswan
I will add only my $.02. In regard to Brian's post to Al, I really think that, if someone is a moderator on the site, they need to be held to a higher standard than others. If a site wants to be labeled "elitist," it need only to allow those with "moderator" under their screen names to make condescending comments to other posters.
  24. deeswan
Davis stinks, the Brewers never should have signed him again. They need to get rid of him now.

Before we all start taking numbers to jump off a bridge or begin returning our tickets, lets see what the good Doc says on Saturday. Clearly you are not a veteran Brewer fan, and can't remember the days of Higuera, Eldred, and McDonald, not to mention our early round draft picks who never made it. When it comes to well-paid pitchers the Brewers are snakebit. And yes, if this is more than minor I will peel the skin off my body.
