  1. Yeah I think Milner might be a possibility to finish an out or two to get out of an inning, but I think they would probably prefer to avoid him.
  2. I think we should only be planning on 4 relievers tomorrow. Wilson, Junis, Zastryzny, and Payamps. Milner threw 32 pitches with 2 up downs on Monday. Koenig has thrown 54 pitches the last 3 days coming fresh off the IL. Peguero and Megill would both be throwing 4 times in 5 days. Hudson’s velo was down 2-5 mph today, so he shouldn’t even be thought as available on a back to back. All 5 of those guys should probably be unavailable. Wilson 3-4, Junis 2-3, Zastryzny 1+, and Payamps for a save should be the plan. Basically need Wilson and Junis firing on all cylinders. If one of them has an off day it’s going to force us to use pitchers who probably shouldn’t be pitching.
  3. Lots of fly balls and pop ups would be my guess looking at these numbers. You're at about 13-14% of batted balls being infield fly balls this season for Adams. Also don't think 19% line drive rate is very high. Fly ball hitters tend to have lower BABIP's.
  4. Hudson might be cooked...his velo was down a scary amount tonight. FB and CU were down 2-3 mph and his sweeper was down 5 mph.
  5. I think it would be very difficult for any catcher to block that first slider in the dirt but all 3 of the other pitches to get by Miller should have been stopped. Just a shambolic defensive performance from him.
  6. Get Miller out of this game. This is an embarrassing defensive showing.
  7. Miller looks clueless behind home plate tonight.
  8. And Darrien Miller throws a ball well over the 3B head on a SB attempt and Pensacola has a run.
  9. It's funny because I was actually starting to believe the Brewers messed with his swing because so many people were saying it. I randomly started watching a Keston Hiura college video and he had the high finish and more uppercut style swing even back in college, so I don't know when/why the idea the Brewers messed with the swing started.
  10. Keston Hiura was DFA'd. I guess the -25 wRC+ and 37% K-rate wasn't good enough to keep him in the MLB.
  11. I'll be honest, unless they were crossed up, I think both the balls that went to the backstop should have been caught.
  12. Not sure he could walk up and place it in the glove any better. That was right where Miller wanted it.
  13. Joseph when was the last time you had your eyes checked? That was clearly at the bottom of the zone maybe even below the zone not at the top upper corner.
  14. Blake Burke is at AmFam today, so looks like he will be signing today alongside Braylon Payne.
  15. I imagine Tauchman called timeout?
  16. If you're hitting 5th in the order, no way a pitcher should get away with throwing 2 straight get em over FB in the exact spot to put you to 3-2. I get taking on 3-0 with 3 straight BB's before, but staring at a get em over FB with the bases loaded in a 3-1 count in hopes of getting a BB means to me you have no business being in the 5 hole.
  17. Bally app is working just fine for me, so it must be an issue with Spectrum not the Bally feed.
  18. At the end of May, Jackson Chourio had a 63 wRC+ and -1.36 WPA After the game today, Jackson Chourio has a 97 wRC+ and 0.11 WPA I don't think WPA is a very useful stat for position players, but just such a huge swing in a matter of a month and a half of games.
  19. The DL Hall situation is a mess. He does not look like a guy who belongs in the MLB, but this is his last option year. If you option him to AAA then next season is a do or die year for him where he gets DFA'd if struggles.
  20. @Joseph Zarr can probably attest to this, but after Chourio made that great grab in LF to end the inning, I was honestly expecting a big moment at the plate (not necessarily a 440ft HR). In the minors he seemed to thrive in big moments.
  21. Calling Hoskins dumpster diving is certainly a take.
  22. Garrett Mitchell is really bad against 4 seamers. I fear when pitchers just start pouring in high FB against him that he's going to be exposed like Keston Hiura was. He has a whiff rate near 40% against 4 seamers in his career and a -6 run value.
  23. 4 of the 5 Twins runs have come after the ump blew a strike 3 call.
