  1. He warmed up multiple times today. If you use him tomorrow it'd be the equivalent of him throwing 5 times in 7 days which is why the whole "he's available but only for an out" crap was utter nonsense. Especially moreso when Devin claims he was going to get the 9th inning if the Brewers got the lead in the 9th.
  2. Based on Murphy's comments in Hogg's recent article about Hudson and Misiorowski, I have a feeling he has no interest in Misiorowski being called up.
  3. So who is lying. Murphy saying Devin was only available for 1-2 outs or Devin saying he would have gotten the 9th if the Brewers got a lead in the top half?
  4. They have to make a move. They can't go into a game with Civale, Milner, Paredes as the only available arms. Payamps will probably have to hit the IL. I'd guess that would mean Peguero would be back up.
  5. With the news of the Payamps injury, I think that moves the biggest problem with Murphy's managing today to the 2 sac bunt attempts.
  6. It's just totally moronic. If you're worried about Devin staying fresh then he should have been totally unavailable. Warming him up multiple times for a potential 1-2 out situation is one of the dumbest things I've ever seen.
  7. I cannot believe that the Timber Rattlers have Birchard pitching in a Championship game. There's just got to be better options.
  8. Ross, Ashby, Koenig, Megill, potentially Devin because he warmed up 2 different times.
  9. Murphy made so many bad moves tonight that tonight easily clears that game.
  10. Murphy will 100% cost the Brewers a playoff game with his bad in game managing.
  11. Murphy is seriously one of the worst in game managers I've ever watched manage the Brewers
  12. His fascination with bunting is another
  13. This has been one of Murphy's worst managed games all year. Playing for 1 run in the 7th inning with a sac bunt against one of the best offenses in the MLB. Letting Ashby pitch to Grichuk when he clearly had showed he didn't have it with Payamps ready in the pen. Not letting Payamps pitch the 8th inning despite being extremely fresh and only throwing 5 pitches in the 7th. Opting to use Megill and Williams in the 8th and 9th who will both be throwing for the 4th time in 6 days. He's just not at all a good in game manager.
  14. Looks like it's true although probably worth noting that Chourio has 37 more batted balls in that time because Judge walks a lot. https://baseballsavant.mlb.com/statcast_search?hfPT=&hfAB=&hfGT=R|&hfPR=hit\.\.into\.\.play|&hfZ=&hfStadium=&hfBBL=&hfNewZones=&hfPull=&hfC=&hfSea=2024|&hfSit=&player_type=batter&hfOuts=&hfOpponent=&pitcher_throws=&batter_stands=&hfSA=&game_date_gt=2024-07-01&game_date_lt=&hfMo=&hfTeam=&home_road=&hfRO=&position=&hfInfield=&hfOutfield=&hfInn=&hfBBT=&hfFlag=&metric_1=api_h_launch_speed&metric_1_gt=100&metric_1_lt=&group_by=name&min_pitches=0&min_results=0&min_pas=0&sort_col=pitches&player_event_sort=api_p_release_speed&sort_order=desc#results
  15. Gallen just totally owns this franchise. Praying we don't have to face the Dbacks in the WC round.
  16. Gallen's been horrible today. Can't find the strike zone to save his life but our hitters keep chasing.
  17. He's definitely been on the unlucky side so far in September. Through the game last night here is his expected vs actual slash line. Actual - .227/.320/.568, .373 wOBA Expected - .303/.388/.603, .418 xwOBA Has hit into quite a bit of bad luck so far in September and even then he's still put up an incredible slash line through 2 weeks. Also I'm pretty sure both wOBA and xwOBA do not include intentional walks.
  18. Mitchell now has 11 HR in 328 career MLB PA. That's 21/22 HR per 650 PA pace. Yet you say he'd be fortunate to hit 10-15 HR a season. His barrel rate is pushing 10% after tonight in his career. A guy with 600 PA and a 10% barrel rate can absolutely put up 30 HR. Also it's kind of funny that you keep citing post HS career as if college matters. In his professional baseball career he has 27 HR in 834 PA which is 21 HR per 650 PA pace. Basically both his MiLB and MLB HR per season pace is 20 and you say he's a 10-15 HR a season kind of guy. Meanwhile you think Frelick who has an MLB BA under .260 in his career with 1st percentile batted ball metrics is a .300 hitter in the MLB. Make it make sense please. $14M in 2025 not counting the buyout plus the $4M buyout in 2026 is a $18M guaranteed he'd be passing up if he opted out. Not $14M. That's just facts. His career OPS is irrelevant. He's 32 before opening day next year and is coming off a missed year and a really bad year. Jesse Winker had a career .813 OPS and 121 wRC+ going into FA last year and signed a 1 year deal for $2M. Surely he should have gotten way more than that by your logic, right?
  19. Ortiz looked very good defensively at SS tonight
  20. Botched a routine double play. Then didn't get his body in front of a ground ball hit right at him. Then totally whiffed on a pop up down the 3B line. Cost the defense 4 outs and 4 runs that inning.
  21. I'd 100% option Monasterio after that BS.
  22. Gunnar Henderson. Elly De La Cruz. There are a lot of SS who can hit for power these days
  23. No idea why Myers is still in there. Did Murphy fall asleep?
