  1. Personally think DFA'ing Milner would be a silly decision when he's not even pitching bad. All of his peripherals are still really good. Through today there are 178 RP with 30+ IP, here are Milner's ranks. 120 ERA- (156th) 87 FIP- (82nd) 80 xFIP- (30th) 3.21 SIERA (55th) 3.18 xERA (58th) 50.8% GB-rate (38th) .314 BABIP (132nd) So the only stats that he's below average in are ERA- and BABIP. All of his peripherals are really strong. Maybe they shop him at the deadline with a bit of a bullpen logjam, but just throwing him away for nothing because he's had horrible BABIP luck would be pretty silly.
  2. Seriously Milner is probably the unluckiest pitcher in the MLB these last 6 weeks. BABIP north of .450 against him despite hitters having below league average Avg. EV and hard hit %. Today these 4 batted balls cost him a run. 102.9 EV, -2 LA 72.3 EV, -59 LA 93.3 EV, -8 LA 89.4 EV, 28 LA I feel like if you put those 4 batted balls into a simulation that you'd have a run scored less than 5% of the time.
  3. Nah he just recently passed 5 years service time. He'd have to accept an option.
  4. He honestly looked like he was just going through the motions as well. Last 3 FB were all 94 and his changeup was filthy.
  5. No EBJ for the 3rd straight day? Another injury?
  6. Arroyo did play in yesterday’s ACL game according to the box score. He was HBP in his first AB and was removed before he hit again, so we’ll need to keep an eye on that.
  7. First time he's pitched into the 6th inning this year and most pitches he's thrown on the season. Not that odd to see him removed. Was a normal pitching change watching it. No trainer. Reliever was ready.
  8. Carolina are 1 innings away from putting up 4 total runs through 5 games in this series.
  9. Feel like the Brewers have looked this way since the second half of May. It just hasn't caught up to them until now.
  10. Walling misplays a grounder (can't believe it was ruled a single) and it's 3-2 Nationals.
  11. I was curious so I looked it up and Fredericksburg have probably the oldest team in the Carolina League. Their position players are about a year older than Carolina's position players and their pitchers are 2 years older than Carolina's pitchers
  12. Gerson Calzadilla on to relieve Bjorn Johnson. This is Calzadilla's first appearance since last year.
  13. Bjorn Johnson with the longest start of his professional career today going 4 IP, 3 H, 0 ER, 0 BB, 3 SO.
  14. Gameday'd 2 days in a row. DSL Brewers 1 won 8-4 not 9-4
  15. DSL Brewers 2 lose 2-1 to DSL Astros Orange. The loss pushes their season record to 14-14. Here were some of the standouts in that game. Yoneiker Lugo: 2-2 2B, BB Justin Lugo: 3 IP, 0 H, 0 ER, 2 BB, 6 SO Oliver Camilo: 2 IP, 2 H, 0 ER, 0 BB, 1 SO
  16. DSL Brewers 1 win 9-4 over DSL Rojos to extend their win streak to 9 games. Here were some of the standouts in that game. Handelfry Encarnacion - 2-5 2B, 2 RBI, R, 2 SO Luis Pena - 2-4 BB, RBI, 2 R, SB Juan Ortuno - 2-4 BB, RBI, R Joan Gutierrez - 1-3 2B, BB, RBI, R, SB Jeremy George - 1-1 HR, BB, 2 HBP, RBI, R Saul Sanchez - 1.1 IP, 0 H, 0 ER, 0 BB, 1 SO, 1 HBP Ruben Saldana - 1 IP, 1 H, 0 ER, 0 BB, 1 SO Jhosep Ospino: 1 IP, 0 H, 0 ER, 0 BB, 3 SO
  17. I kind of wish they had just lost in 9 because this 10th inning has been rough. It's 11-6 D-backs with 0 outs in the 10th.
  18. Looks like we may have been gameday'd in the ACL game because it's now showing as a 6-6 game and heading to extras.
  19. Feels like underwhelming is almost an understatement. After tonight his GB% is over 80 in his brief MLB sample. Just total non-threat at the plate right now unfortunately.
  20. Jacob Misiorowski's last 5 starts 26.1 IP, 13 H, 5 ER, 7 BB, 38 SO, 2 HBP 1.71 ERA 38% K-rate 7% BB-rate 0.84 WHIP+HBP 38% whiff rate 35% CSW
  21. ACL Crew were not able to get the run across. They head to the 9th down 6-5.
  22. ACL Crew making a rally in the bottom of the 8th. It's a 6-5 game with runners on the corners and 1 out. Bitonti having a great game 3-4 with a 2B, HR, 2 RBI, and 2 R.
  23. I feel like everyone was caught off guard with that promotion. Feel like there were definitely still things to clean up in A+ for O'Rae and AA has proven to be too difficult for O'Rae so far.
