    One thing I’ll say is it’s very unlikely the Brewers carry 13 pitchers on their WC or NLDS rosters especially with the NLDS having 3 scheduled off days this year. In 2021 when there were only 2 scheduled off days we only carried an 11 man pitching staff and that was with no universal DH yet.

    MUDCATS WIN!!! Yujanyer Herrera gives up a flyball to Mercado in RF. The runner tags for home and is safe BUT the Mudcats throw over to 3B and the runner is ruled out for leaving 3B early!!! MUDCATS HAVE FORCED A GAME 3!

    Mudcats get 1 run in the top of the 10th although they lost Jesus Chirinos to injury in the process. Yujanyer Herrera in to pitch the top of the 10th. Barrios in as a defensive replacement for Guilarte and Hall in at 1B for Chirinos. Bottom of the 10th opens up with a groundout that brings the Manfred runner to 3B.

    I've been commenting on the MLB game thread lol. Oops. Guilarte booted a routine grounder to SS with 2 outs in the 9th and it's 5-5. The Mudcats have absolutely choked this game away in the 8th and 9th.

    Root gets an easy ground ball to Guilarte and he boots it. 5-5 tied game on the Guilarte error. The Mudcats have just absolutely fallen apart the last 2 innings.

    Another single for the Wood Ducks. Runners on the corners with 2 outs. Still 5-4 Carolina.

    Jadher Areinamo can't pull off another play that he normally makes according to Greg Young. That's the 4th time it has happened tonight. He's having a brutal series. 0-9 and the defense has fallen apart. Tying run back on first with 2 outs.

    Root with a huge broken bat double play! Guilarte brings it to the bag himself and throws it over to Chirinos who digs it out of the dirt.

    Root gives up a leadoff single to open the 9th. Tying run at 1B....Surely Carolina's bullpen won't blow a 5-0 8th inning lead right?

    Mudcats go 1-2-3 in the Top of the 9th. It's 5-4 Mudcats.

    3rd wild pitch of the inning and the tying run is on 2B. Carolina breaths a deep sigh of relief. Wood Ducks hit a liner at Areinamo and he doubles off the runner that just advanced to 2B on a wild pitch. Inning over. Carolina just barely hanging on at 5-4.

    Areinamo with another poor defensive play according to Greg Young and the Wood Ducks get a run scoring infield single. It's 5-2 with 1 out in the 8th....and there's a wild pitch on the first pitch to the next hitter. It's now runners on 2nd and 3rd with 1 out. Yerlin Rodriguez gives up a single to CF...it's 5-4 Mudcats now with the tying run at 1B. The Mudcats are dangerously close to blowing a 5-0 lead in the 8th inning.

    Rivero just can't get pitches in the strike zone. He gave up and RBI groundout and walked another hitter. Runners on the corners and 1 out. Carolina up 5-1. Mudcats are bringing in Yerlin Rodriguez. I am guessing they hoped they could make it through today without using Yerlin after going up 5-0, but Rivero's lack of command had other plans.

    The Mudcats are up 5-0 in the bottom of the 8th and Jesus Rivero cannot throw a strike. He's already walked 2 hitters and is down 2-1 on the third hitter of the inning.

    Mejias gets down in the count 3-1 then gives up a line drive bullet HR to RF. It's 6-0 Montgomery. Looking like Biloxi is going to need to win the final 3 games of the series to get into the playoffs.

    Mejias walks Murray. It's bases loaded with 0 outs. Going to need a miracle to keep this game close.

    Mejias first pitch to Murray is way outside and goes to the backstop. Runners on 2nd and 3rd with 0 outs. This one is getting late early.

    Mejias walks Peters to lead off the 6th inning and Caminero reaches on a chopper to 3rd that Wilken would probably want a second chance on. It's 1st and 2nd with 0 outs. Things aren't looking good for Mejias and Biloxi.

    Mejias just gave up an absolute bomb with 2 outs in the 5th. 2-run HR. It's 2-0 Montgomery through 5. Biloxi's offense is going to have to show up. They haven't shown much outside of that big 7 run inning in this series.

    Patricio Aquino has twirled an absolute gem tonight. 6 IP, 4 H, 0 ER, 0 BB, 5 SO, 1 HBP and he's at 80 pitches. I imagine he's done for the day, but we shall see.

    Wilken with a 105 EV blast to CF that I imagine was only caught because the wind blew it back in. Shuckers have looked like the better team today. Just not getting balls to drop.
