  1. Bryan Hudson turning into one of the best firemen in the MLB. Jared Koenig, the 30 year old rookie, coming out of nowhere to be a flexible middle reliever. Brice Turang making the quantum leap that Murphy predicted. Those have to be my three favorites.
  2. Going into game 3 facing arguably the best pitcher in the MLB this year with the series already won is huge. What a big win today. Let's take it to Skubal tomorrow and finish the road trip 3-3.
  3. Freddy in this series - 3.1 IP, 4 H, 4 R, 3 ER, 5 BB, 3 SO Every other Brewers pitcher in this series - 14.2 IP, 3 H, 0 ER, 4 BB, 13 SO
  4. I was talking about the 8th inning because at the time Peguero was warming in the 7th.
  5. Payamps was locked in that inning.
  6. Let's get some insurance runs. I don't want to turn over a 1-run lead to Peguero again.
  7. Contreras has stunk for 3+ weeks now. Please stick him on the bench until his finger is feeling better.
  8. Maybe this is a hot take, but I think that last play is a double play if Ortiz is playing SS. His exchange from glove to throw is just so much quicker than Adames. Adames took a while getting that ball from his glove to Turang. Ortiz doesn't have the big arm that Adames has but he's just so quick with his hands and transfer.
  9. I wonder if Freddy is tipping again. He had some really bad misses today, but he also had some close balls taken that were almost shocking to see taken. The chase rate against him today is shockingly low for Freddy standards.
  10. Well the bad news is DSL Brewers 2 lost. The good news is DSL Brewers 1 won.
  11. Can't imagine Myers goes down because we wouldn't have a 5th SP if he gets optioned. I'd bet Hernandez gets DFA'd to open a 40-man spot for Rodriguez on Tuesday.
  12. Lost track of what thread I was in. Definitely not very optimistic of me.
  13. Also worth noting that Wong had a club option for that final season that likely was only accepted so they could trade him. That Wong signing was a certified success.
  14. Probably had more to do with Meeker having options (or being likely to pass through waivers if DFA’d) and the fact the bullpen already has 3 LHP in it.
  15. It would be pretty bad if our very protected starting rotation had a below league average ERA.
  16. Robert has 3 years of control after this year.
  17. Brewers have a bit of a partnership program with Brisbane. 2 straight years we have sent some guys over there for winter ball.
  18. This is a guy who is averaging 4.6 fWAR/600 PA. When he's healthy he's a legit stud. I think you at least have to call the White Sox and do your due diligence.
  19. Man they better let Meeker get his debut in the 9th.
  20. I would have pulled him after he didn't run on that GIDP
  21. That one I have no clue on. I'd guess less than 10. Probably like 8 or something like that.
  22. Woody last year after his first IL stint.
  23. I'd rather Fedde than Crochet, but even if I wanted Crochet, the Padres being in on him would be the end of that. Padres are not prospect huggers and I don't want to beat them in a trade offer.
  24. I won't because his glove is that good. He's earned the starting CF spot.
