  1. Yeah our leverage bullpen hasn’t been a problem since Bush was put on the IL. The low leverage guys have been brutal though. Varland, Guerra, Bush combine for 17% of our bullpen’s IP and 40% of the ER. There are 18 RP with 7+ IP and and 8+ ERA and the Brewers have 3 of them.
  2. He goes back to the Dodgers (not with a 40-man spot) if nobody claims him.
  3. The good news is he's still way underperforming his peripheral numbers at the plate so the offense ticking up is easily an option
  4. His hitting needs to tick up to maintain that pace because LF basically never have positive defensive value at the end of the season.
  5. His max throw this year was 95.3 according to Savant. The last 3 years his max was 88.1, he must physically be feeling better than he has in quite a while.
  6. He stayed in the game at LF for the first 3 batters the next inning before being pulled. It's probably something that will keep him out for a bit, but it didn't look like anything too serious.
  7. Came up limping while in a run down. Think it's a lower left leg injury if I had to guess.
  8. Pretty sure Darin Ruf is a FA. Might be worth spinning the wheels on him to see if he can just hit LHP for us.
  9. I have seen you cite this multiple times. Is this based off a study somewhere on performance post neck surgery or is it just an assumption on your part because it being statistically true would be a welcomed sight.
  10. Winker has some pretty alarming trends from 2021 to 2023. He was hurt last year which could explain some of his problems. He is supposed to be healthy now but those trends have continued downwards. The most alarming trend to me is his trend against Fastballs. His xwOBA against FB has completely fallen off a cliff since peaking in 2021. That trend line looks like a guy who just can't keep up against velocity anymore.
  11. I said overrated not zero value. If Turang and Winker had the same OBP which is more valuable?
  12. I personally think Winker's OBP is overrated because of how terrible he is as a baserunner. You basically need 3 singles, a double and a single, or a HR to score him from 1B. He's the definition of station to station as a baserunner.
  13. How long of a leash will the Brewers give Jesse Winker? He had really bad batted ball metrics last year and that has only gotten worse this season. Considering he offers nothing outside of his bat this is pretty problematic. Out of 272 hitters with at least 75 PA this season this is where Winker's batted ball data sits. .215 xBA - 233rd .293 xSLG - 263rd .077 xISO - 261st .288 xwOBACON - 260th 88.7 Avg EV - 152nd 30.4% Sweet Spot Rate - 200th (batted balls with a LA between 8 and 32) 3.6% Barrel Rate - 221st 5.4% solid contact rate - 167th He obviously doesn't strike out that much and he draws a lot of walks but with how bad his baserunning is, how valuable is that high OBP? Not saying I think the Brewers should get rid of him now like I would for Voit, but how long should the leash be? Especially if Hiura continues to lower that K-rate in AAA while being super productive.
  14. I think they should just get rid of Voit at this point for pretty much anyone. Winker has had horrible batted ball data for over a year now. I thought the surgeries and getting healthy would lead to a bounce back but the batted ball data has only gotten worse this season. Probably not a popular take but I'd give him another 50-100 PA and if he can't start elevating the ball/hitting the ball harder then I don't think he should be an every day starter. If Hiura continues to reduce the K-rate then call him up and make him the full time DH with Winker either benched/traded/DFA'd
  15. He also hit LHP well in AAA in 2021 so this likely means nothing. The gap between LHP in AAA and the MLB is pretty significant
  16. Also Tyler Glasnow as a comp for Houser is so hilariously inaccurate. I genuinely have zero clue how you ever could have come to that comparison.
  17. Like the Brent Suter article, this article feels absolutely unnecessary. Giving a 30 year old Houser a 5 year extension when he's only had 1 season in his career with a FIP below 4 might be one of the worst decisions a FO could do especially one with a limited budget like we have.
  18. I think Gasser could potentiall be pitching on Friday.
  19. Yeah Brewers org may be very high on Yophery but hard for me to put anyone in the top 10 who isn't playing state side.
  20. @Joseph Zarr Please close your eyes when you look at this thread. Year of Command is sadly postponed.
  21. 1. Jackson Chourio (OF) 2. Sal Frelick (OF) 3. Jeferson Quero (C) 4. Tyler Black (IF/OF) 5. Jacob Misiorowski (SP) 6. Carlos Rodriguez (SP) 7. Robert Gasser (SP) 8. Eric Brown Jr (IF) 9. Luis Lara (OF) 10. Abner Uribe (RP) 11. Hendry Mendez (OF) 12. Daniel Guilarte (IF) 13. Ethan Small (SP/RP) 14. Justin Jarvis (SP) 15. Robert Moore (IF) 16. Matthew Wood (C) 17. Alexander Cornielle (SP) 18. Luke Adams (IF) 19. Freddy Zamora (IF) 20. Edwin Jimenez (SP)
  22. Yeah could probably just hold off on voting in general until Turang and Wiemer are graduated.
  23. Mitchell is no longer a prospect at least according to Pipeline he isn’t.
  24. And even if he does regain his early 2022 form (don’t think he ever touches 2021 form again) I still don’t think we could get a Holliday, Mayo, Povich package from the Orioles. I don’t think Brewers fans would want to give up Chourio, Black, and Gasser for 1.5 years of a Corbin Burnes level pitcher.
