  1. If that's the route you are looking for then Jonathan Aranda could be an answer but not sure what you would need to give the Rays to get him though as they likely want MLB pitching in the deal
  2. .322 xwOBA in July with a 43% K-rate in July. Just absolutely not buying it. Just call up Keston Hiura if you want someone with that volatile of outcomes with a crazy high K-rate.
  3. Rooker is an absolute no for me. Basically a 28 year old rookie who had an insane April and has been bad since. I’m far more inclined to believe who has been since May 1st is closer to who he actually is than his overall season numbers. Since May 1st - .202/.283/.365 for an 85 wRC+ with 8% BB-rate and 36% K-rate. Might as well just call up Hiura instead of spending prospect capital on that.
  4. Zamora is also 3 and a half years older than Moore. Moore got off to a slow start this season but has a 116 wRC+ since May 1st and a 123 wRC+ since June 1st.
  5. The Keston, Tyrone, Small, Lauer, Urias trade for Ohtani is going to be crazy.
  6. Well deserved promotion for Nate Peterson.
  7. I would definitely trade for Bellinger, but I'm not giving up any of my top 10-15 prospects for 2 months of a dude overperforming that significantly. Freddy Zamora, Ethan Small, and a DSL lottery ticket is about what I would give up for him.
  8. Bellinger's actual slash line is .308/.365/.523 for an .888 OPS Bellinger's expected slash line is .252/.316/.400 for a .716 OPS That overperformance is the 3rd biggest overperformance among the 269 hitters qualified for the Savant Leaderboards. He's due for major regression.
  9. Figured I would post here. Gasser just made Baseball America’s top 100 with Elly De La Cruz graduating.
  10. The Southern League (AA League that Biloxi was in) was experimenting with pre-tacked baseballs in the 1st half of the season. Basically normal baseballs that are dipped into sticky stuff to provide better grip. This made a lot of Southern League pitchers dramatically improve their pitch movement and spin making the already difficult jump to AA even harder for hitters. As of last Friday, they switched to the same baseballs the MLB is using that are just mudded not dipped in sticky stuff.
  11. I’ve talked myself into trying to get Ryan McMahon. Probably have to platoon him but he hits RHP really well and plays GG level defense at 3B with 4 more years of control on a fair contract. He fits the run prevention model while also being a 110 wRC+ type bat vs RHP.

  13. Suter has been on the IL for a month and just went out on a rehab assignment. Absolutely zero need to trade for him with Justin Wilson set to return soon and Ashby going out on a rehab assignment in the near future.
  14. Woodruff starting his rehab assignment on Saturday.
  15. If he's available absolutely, but I am guessing the Cardinals are far more likely to move TON than Carlson. Edit: Also I am generally just opposed to the idea of trading with the Cardinals. They are on the record to want pitching and we really don't have a super deep prospect pool of pitching to trade from. We are definitely deeper on the position player side.
  16. Luke Adams to A+ at 3B. Shift Metzinger to 1B at A+. Ernesto Martinez to AA at 1B. Shift Warren to 3B. Black to AAA at 3B. Shift Dorrian/Toro to 1B.
  17. I've wanted the Brewers to do this for a while, but I just don't see it. Have Brewers ever promoted a position player straight from AA to the MLB midseason? Some teams have been doing it (Braves as an example) but it really doesn't seem like our MO.
  18. I’m thankful you’re not the GM. You do know Ohtani is a FA in 3 months…right?
  19. Rooker has a 90 wRC+ and 35% K-rate since May 1st. He had an insane April and has not been good since. I'd be all for Noda though. He's likely incredibly expensive though considering he is 27 and isn't arb eligible until 2026
  20. Though as I just posted Bellinger is WAY overperforming his peripherals. Yelich peripheral numbers look incredible. Bellinger's peripherals are below league average.
  21. I'd probably avoid Bellinger because his peripherals are just screaming regression. Coming into today he had a .376 wOBA compared to a .312 xwOBA.
