  1. Sadly no Misiorowski day as the Mudcats game was postponed.
  2. Pitching has been phenomenal in the system so far. Bats have started slow especially in Wisconsin but I think it’s been a pretty good start everywhere else.
  3. Keston Hiura walk-off infield single! Sounds win! Unfortunately not all good news though. Ryan Middendorf having another tough inning. He came into the 6th inning with 0 outs inheriting runners on 2nd and 3rd. 3 singles and a passed ball later and 4 runs come across. 2 ER for Seminaris and 1 ER for Middendorf with 1 unearned run as well.
  4. Lucas Erceg gets a timely double play and pitches a scoreless top of the 10th! Speedster Eddy Alvarez starts the bottom of the 10th on 2B with Taylor, Hiura, and Singleton due up. I'm feeling a walk off here!
  5. Hasn't been put on the IL so could just be giving him a couple days off after a close call like that.
  6. Harrison and Alvarez both strike out and we are headed to extra inning.
  7. Oh my! Omaha drops a routine pop-out to shallow CF. Runners on 1st and 2nd with 1 out!
  8. Patrick Dorrian nearly walks it off in the 9th with a loud out to the wall in RF.
  9. Add another inning to that because he pitched 2 innings today. 4 G, 6.1 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 2 BB, 9 SO. The 4 balls in play against him today were all poor contact and easy outs. 84.5 EV, -5 LA 100.0 EV, 41 LA 55.3 EV, -4 LA 94.1 EV, 55 LA
  10. Ethan Small continues to stack good performances. That's 4 straight scoreless appearances. 5.1 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 2 BB, 9 SO. He's starting to look like a guy who could pitch in the MLB bullpen.
  11. Would be huge but really hope it is the right call. Last thing we need would be for him to come back just to immediately go back onto the IL.
  12. Man Robert Stock has had a really rough start to the season. Basically getting shelled in every outing. They've let him start and pitch out of the pen. Not sure what is next for him at this point.
  13. He's seriously struggled since he got to AAA though. He's not remotely ready for an MLB call up.
  14. No news. He was put on the 60-day IL so he's not eligible to return until May 31st.
  15. Really hope Joseph Hernandez can be a bullpen arm someday because Topa is looking awfully good in Seattle and we shipped him out to clear 40-man space for Guerra who we gave up on after 20 games.
  16. He looks now how Eric Brown Jr has looked all season. I feel like these guys could just use some warm weather. That could lift everybody up quite a bit.
  17. Robert Moore is in some type of funk right now. He's clearly forcing things at the plate as well. A lot of chases.
  18. A walk off here would be huge for the Rattlers. Get the guys excited and some energy back into the team!
  19. This was the day I thought made most sense for him to DH so good to see he is DH'ing. Do not like seeing Voit in against a LHP. Would very much prefer Rowdy or even Brosseau at 1B and Turang/Perkins to make our defense a bit more sound.
  20. Definitely has not been a very productive looking rehab assignment. The lack of swing and miss and solid contact at the MLB and in this rehab assignment has me feeling a bit doubtful that he's going to stick around on the Brewers long term which is a bummer because I thought his stuff looked very good.
  21. Honestly even Wilson should get some chances as a leverage guy. Especially if he can touch that 95 range with his FB.
  22. Agreed that how he currently is pitching makes the most sense in a 7th inning type role not an 8th. Need to hope one of Cousins/Uribe/Andrews can be an 8th inning type guy for us at some point this season. I think they all have the stuff to do it, but it's not a guarantee that any of them are ready for it this year. I expect Uribe to be in AAA eventually. Largely because AA is using a different ball than AAA and MLB (which are using the same ball). The AA ball is the same ball but they dip it into a tacky substance so it's performing way differently than the regular ball so far. A huge reason why strikeouts are way up in AA right now.
  23. The velo is definitely starting to concern me a bit. Hopefully he's just a guy whose velo improves as the weather gets warmer. Last night he had 1st and 3rd and 1 out and couldn't generate a single whiff. It's definitely somewhat concerning especially if he's going to be in the 8th inning role going forward. Still think he can be a good leverage RP in his current mold but not one that I will trust if he gets into a tough spot.
  24. Probably correct. Winker is probably going to get a much longer leash than Voit but honestly at the moment I would rather have Voit and Rowdy fill our 1B and DH spots against RHP than Rowdy and Winker. I'm beginning to get mildly worried that Winker is just washed. He wasn't exactly lighting the world on fire before he got sick .334 xwOBA in 31 PA but it's still been way worse since he returned .230 xwOBA in 31 PA. Plus Winker's batted ball data is pretty horrific. Voit's overall numbers are worse but he's looked good vs RHP this year and the underlying numbers back that up.
  25. Voit is basically Keston Hiura at this point. Since the start of last season, he's become a huge reverse split guy. He just doesn't fit the role we are trying to put him in (also why Hiura shouldn't be called up as long as Winker is on the roster). Since 2022 Voit's xwOBA vs RHP in .348 in 420 PA (really good number) and his xwOBA vs LHP is .246 in 189 PA (really bad). We are basically using Voit as a weak side platoon guy right now which is a horrible misuse.
