  1. Made nearly golfed a pitch well below the zone for a HR down the right field line but it went foul by maybe 10-15 feet
  2. Renz looks small on the mound after watching Mercedes pitch for 5 innings. Listed at 6'4 180lbs. Seems 6'4 might be a bit generous but definitely looks like a teenager with plenty of room to add weight to his body.
  3. He only had 159 PA in AA last year. They were a very dominant 159 PA but understandable for the Brewers to prioritize promoting Wilken and Adams to AAA over Burke.
  4. Jose Anderson just had a 400ft double to straightaway CF.
  5. I mostly think it's impossible to tell when the camera angle is so off center. Very difficult to judge if something is actually catching the zone or not horizontally. Maybe he got squeezed a couple times. Tough to know though judging by his body language, I don't think he was getting squeezed that hard. If the gameday locations were remotely accurate, I think he would have been pretty demonstrably upset by the third walk and I didn't see that.
  6. Mercedes has to be throwing like 80% FB today and the Fayetteville hitters just aren't going anything against it
  7. The only levels you get accurate pitch level data are the levels that have statcast so MLB, AAA, ACL/ST. Outside of those levels the pitch location data is completely unreliable. The ball just thrown to Ebel shows up in the strike zone but that pitch was letter high for example.
  8. He gets out of the bases loaded jam with a textbook 6-4-3 double play.
  9. Those locations are not accurate at all FYI
  10. Mercedes lost the command here in the 4th. Struck out the first hitter of the inning then has walked the next 3 on a total of 13 pitches so only one strike.
  11. The Fayetteville pitcher Pentecost has looked pretty impressive. Pro debut coming out of the NAIA last year. 6th round pick signed around $300K. Looks like a nice pitch mix and velo seems decent. Seems pretty advanced for an A ball pitcher.
  12. Fayetteville has a 3rd inning cheese curd promotion if they score runs in the 3rd inning every person gets cheese curds courtesy of Culvers. Seeing a Culvers promotion in North Carolina is pretty mind blowing.
  13. Just make a new gmail account and redeem the trial code again the next time the Brewers play on Apple TV. Is it the most moral thing to do? No probably not but in a time when companies are trying to get every last dollar from consumers I think it's alright to cheat the system a bit.
  14. He did have a pretty big jump. Here's how his IP per year have looked. 2022 - 53.2 2023 - 88.1 2024 - 34.1 2025 - 147 Jumping from a previous high of 88 to 147 is definitely a pretty big jump especially when you factor in he only threw 34 innings in the season between those.
  15. Here's a link to a free trial of Apple TV. Obviously you'd need to cancel before it starts charging monthly but it would give you access to the game today. https://redeem.services.apple/roktappletv-amr-v2
  16. I was supposed to be going to the Timber Rattlers game today but the weather doesn't make it seem like baseball will be played today. 65% chance of rain at 5pm and 75% of thunderstorm at 6pm and then more rain after that.
  17. Wilken had one of his classic 3 pitch strikeout all looking today so yeah.
  18. In the settings on the MLB app, you can set it to hide scores to avoid spoilers.
  19. As one of the biggest Lara guys on this site, even I'm shocked to see him turn around a 96.5mph down and in heater for a 400ft HR to left center.
  20. Hem said he presumes Pratt not being in the lineup is due to the rumored contract with the Brewers. Feel like if it was an injury he would know and would have said so. That’s good to hear.
  21. That's definitely the downside to having 4 LHP in the pen but I'm comfortable throwing Ashby against any hitter. Ashby is a LHP but he's really kind of platoonless. As a RP in his career, RHH are slashing .217/.287/.323 for a .272 wOBA. And Anderson is fortunately pretty dominant against RHH so he's a great middle reliever to have in a pen loaded with LHP. As a Brewer RHH are slashing .220/.278/.346 against him. I think in a super ideal world you'd have someone like Logan Henderson in Woodford's spot where you can get both length and some leverage outs if needed but we probably won't see something like that until late in the year.
  22. Any info on Pratt not being in the lineup the first two games of this series? Small injury or is he in Milwaukee to sign the rumored extension?
  23. Bullpen has been on one to start the year. Through 6 games they are sitting at 25.2 IP, 1.05 ERA, 2.61 FIP, 2.58 xFIP, 38.1% K-rate, 10.3% BB-rate. That will play.
  24. One thing that's really stuck out to me between WBC, ST, and the early AAA season is Black seems to be hunting FB trying to do damage on them. I think I remember an article in ST talking about him wanting to be more aggressive at the plate this year? Mixed results so far. He did hit the HR against a FB yesterday but between ST, WBC, and AAA he's chasing around 35% on the year which is well above the 21% chase rate he had in AAA last year. I'd guess it will take a bit to adjust to being more aggressive and honing in the chase. I think a change like this is probably necessary for him to pan out in MLB.
