    No chance Root is available. He threw 3 innings on the 3rd. You don't see relievers pitch on 2 days rest after throwing 3 innings in the minor leagues.

    Congrats to him but that's embarrassing for the White Sox and MLB that their lone representative is a guy with a below league average ERA.

    Vaughn was already down long enough to gain an extra year of control putting him at 2 more seasons of control though not sure it really matters considering he's very likely to be non-tendered.

    That was a lot of fun. Just an exceptional pitching day from the Brewers. Seeing Woodruff back on that mound and absolutely dealing like that was special.

    Yeah brain fart there but either way you never want to see that many pulled ground balls.

    That 2025 AAA sample is not what you want to see. Tons of pulled ground balls and a bunch of fly balls to center.

    Didn't watch his first PA today but I thought he looked really comfortable yesterday. Seemed much more grounded in his swing.

    I don't think anyone here needs to be protected though there are a few names I would want to put on the AAA roster in the offseason to protect from the MiLB portion of the Rule 5 draft. MiLB protections: LHP Brian Fitzpatrick INF Ethan Murray C Matt Wood INF Jadher Areinamo

    @Jim Goulart are you sure Childers is Rule 5 eligible? Fangraphs has him as not eligible until December 2026. He was signed as a UDFA in 2023 which would have him on the same Rule 5 timeline as guys like Wilken and Boeve and they aren't Rule 5 eligible. Or am I missing something?

    Yeah there was really no reason to pull Hall. 23 pitches to get through 2 and 8-9-1 was coming up. Honestly it probably ended up being a good thing that Koenig couldn't strand the bases loaded. Who pitches the 9th or extras at that point and did we have any faith the offense would score another run? With Woodruff making his first MLB start in nearly two years tomorrow while not fully stretched out, it would have been a disaster if that game kept going and you had to burn Anderson or Megill/Uribe

    Don't love seeing all 3 of the big money IFA signings still sitting below the Uecker line nearing the 25 game mark of the season. Fenelon is at least drawing a ton of walks. Coming into today only 3 qualified DSL Brewers hitters had a wRC+ over 100

    I miss Quintin Berry. Brewers basestealing has regressed pretty significantly this season and the Cubs basestealing has gotten quite a bit better.

    Not counting DSL guys, I’d still say Lara has a higher ceiling than Hedbert. Lara’s ceiling is probably like a 110-115 wRC+ MLB hitter with gold glove level CF defense and great baserunning. That’s a very valuable player.

    Cornielle is having a fine season, but there's really nothing beyond his ERA that says he should be given a 40-man spot. His underlying numbers have been pretty unimpressive and he doesn't have very good stuff.

    Give 40-man spots to - Crow and Seigler Try to re-sign to MiLB deal - Martinez, Cornielle, E Garcia, Jimenez, Peek, Yeager Everyone else I'd be fine with exiting the org through FA. Maybe re-sign a couple catchers as it's always nice to have stability at the catching position in the minors.
