    I love Sheehan and think he’s a future TOR starter so I’d definitely trade Williams and Adames to acquire him, whether it your proposal or mine with international bonus money instead of Wroblewski returned.

    Sheehan is worth the risk. Just a smidgen less ceiling than Bobby Miller. We’ll get a pretty decent lottery ticket with the international bonus money, so there is that.

    Adames & Williams to the Dodgers for: Emmet Sheehan & 500K in international bonus money. Let’s get 6 years of a future TOR starter, and give Armstrong & co more money to do their thing.

    The organization just fixed their 2 biggest needs — plus fielding SS, that can also hit & future playoff starter. Adding the comp pick to this years draft just gets even more talent added to a farm system that even after graduating Chourio-Black-Gasser, should remain among the top 5-8 systems in the game. Incredible time to be a Brewers fan.

    Small has no value. Wilson not much, and Mitchell I believe, needs to get through a season relatively unscathed first before he’s valued by opponent clubs. Substitute Frelick for Mitchell and add Payamps and maybe DiPoto thinks hard about losing his starter depth.

    Yeah, I suppose better late than never. Adley-Henderson should have been locked already, extending them now is going to cost a fortune— but worth it. The Orioles with a spending owner are a frightening team moving-forward.

    Yeah, not seeing the team adding another $15-20M in payroll. I think they will want to keep financial-flexibility intact for possible deadline moves. If anything, I think we could possibly see trade/trades as the route to improve the team and or organization as a whole.

    I think the team is done adding FA pitching, outside of a minor-league contract on a starter. They will want to have the financial-flexibility to add what they need at the deadline. They go at least 8 deep with starters — Burnes-Peralta-Miley-Rea-Gasser-Ross-McKendry-Ashby. CRod can rotation if needed at some point in the second-half. That’s a deep and potentially strong rotation. Retaining financial-flexibility gives them the ability to add a starter at the deadline if needed.

    If the team holds all of our OF’s, I think the team options Wiemer to gain the extra year and give him regular AB’s to open the season. I also see the team potentially optioning Mitchell to get him regular play and AB’s after missing most of last year. Yelich-Frelick-Chourio-Perkins and possibly Boller to open the season if they want 5 OF’s. Eventually call up Wiemer-Mitchell depending on performance and if both are raking rotate them with Frelick with Yelich to majority DH. I’m with Chorizo and think the team should trade Frelick, guessing his trade value should be highest of the 3.

    From what I’ve read the ‘25 draft appears to be an average class, unlike ‘24, which appears to be below average, and unlike ‘23, which was incredibly deep thanks to covid. i’ll take an average class with this team’s skill in manipulating $18M in pool money. Last year proved their skill in that regard, and the previous 3 drafts ‘20-‘21’-‘22, showed they can put good classes together without high draft-picks.

    The team has something special going on with their prospect procurement systems. A top 3 farm almost solely thru amateur prospect procurement skill. This bodes well moving forward because it allows for the retention of talent thru the 6-7 years vs having to sell-off after only 4-5-6 years of service.

    And the way this team’s domestic draft department has been putting classes together the last 4 years, we could be looking at a class for the ages. Even if we don’t get the PPI pick, 5 picks and $18M+ in pool money should give Johnson & co. the opportunity to stock the system with enough talent to keep the farm strong thru late this decade. Incredible time to be a Brewers fan.

    Has anyone brought-up yet that maybe Boras has assurances from Arnold for Hoskins to play a majority of his time at 1B so he can show teams he’s good to go as a 1B moving-forward?

    Team is set to win and win big. The rotation has enough options internally. They go 7 deep with Burnes-Peralta-Miley-Rea-Ross-Gasser-McKendry with Ashby the wild-card and likely to rotation at some point during the year. I think we see CRod before the year is out, but only if he’s needed. The Bullpen is the strength of the team, and deep with big arms all the way thru Biloxi. The offense with the additions of Hoskins-Chourio-Black, Adames in his contract year, and experience gained from Turang-Frelick-Wiemer with Mitchell back and healthy is as underrated as any in baseball. Power-Speed-Baserunning, it has it all. The defense is still strong, even with Black at 3B and Hoskins at 1B. They have the financial-flexibility and farm system to acquire whoever they want to at the deadline to fix weaknesses. I think we see the team let the young talent develop and entering the postseason this team will be a top 5 team in baseball.

    Absolutely. 5 top picks (6 if Chourio can nab ROY) & $20M in pool money for Johnson & co. sets the team up to possibly better last years historic class. Add 3-4 nice prospects returned in the Contreras trade, Another top pick added to the ‘26 draft (Williams) and this team is headed for juggernaut later this decade just thru having a monster farm for a half-decade or longer.

    8 year plus 2 option years, $15M less than Chourio’s contract. Contreras is traded after the ‘25 offseason for 3-4 prospects that combined with another monster ‘25 draft-class give the Brewers a top 5 farm system thru at least 2028.

    Quero is the second most valuable player asset this organization has and will probably get extended in a similar fashion to his fellow countryman and #1 team asset, Jackson Chourio. 8-9 years of Chourio-Quero should give this team a really good opportunity to win a WS before this decade is over.

    BA is probably highest on Basallo than the others, still need more for 3 years of a top 30-40 starter in baseball. I’m holding Peralta unless blown away, and since teams rarely trade their best prospects anymore, he can start game 1 in the ‘25 & ‘26 playoffs, then I’ll take the pick and the pool money.

    Not enough. Basallo probably moves off C full time, to 1B/OF and loses some value because of that. Now add Mayo and I’d do it.

    Agree they sign a Santana/Cooper for this season. I don’t think we see Wilken touch MKE until September at the earliest with 2025 being his season to take over 3B, with Black moving to 1B.

    Brenton Del Chiaro (Brewers minor league hitting coordinator) mentioned Clarke twice in interviews recently as one of his sleeper picks/player to watch. Looking forward to seeing him this spring.

    Great interview from Arem of Brenton Del Chiaro. Hearing him say Joey Wiemer sent Connor Dawson tape of changes he’s made in the box this winter and people will be surprised to see them at ST has me stoked. Also saying Sal Frelick was never fully recovered from his thumb injury last year with MKE and next year he will be fully healthy was nice to hear as well.

    It’s more about what Chourio did in his last 99 PA’s — AAA > 24PA .851 OPS / 1 K WL > 75PA .984 OPS / 8 K Only 9 K total / 9% K-rate He’s a top 3 prospect. I’d have him 2nd, just behind JH, and ahead of Caminaro, who has more power, but a worse hit tool, field & speed. Chourio is ready to face big-league pitching and succeed.

    Teheran is projected (Steamer) to have a worse ERA than all of the pitchers I listed.
