  1. With the team needing to re-negotiate the ‘25 local TV deal and getting less money, unless the Brewers advance to the NLCS, they will probably not add much if any payroll next season, so signing a pricy FA likely isn’t happening. Thank goodness they have a nice young core returning with only one glaring weakness, 3B, and a brilliant, creative FO that should be able to, at worst, at least make it competent.
  2. We have a decade of winning ahead of us with most of those seasons having a better team than the current one, so hang in there and eventually we will be rewarded with a title, maybe even 2. We have the smartest FO in the game, which matters far more than payroll.
  3. Not expecting a breakout from Mitchell this postseason but sure looking forward to an offseason of more adjustments and hopefully a healthy 5+ WAR 2025 season.
  4. Last year’s class had Quintana at #12 & Made at #22 (MLB pipeline) with both of Luis Pena and Jose Anderson outside their top 50.. All 3 performed better than Quintana.
  5. Yeah, I’m personally content with everything about this team’s international department. If this isn’t the best international prospect-procurement system in baseball, it’s among the best. Focusing on impactful positional talent in this realm gives the team the potential to extend the very best because of their young ages entering the bigs. This is how the team will build a long-lasting dynasty by surrounding Chourio with impactful talent for 6-10 years, most of it prime-age performance.
  6. Garrett Mitchell can be a star. He needs to play everyday from here on out. Thanks.
  7. They’re the second youngest team in baseball playing this season on house money. It’s pretty easy to see this being their worst team of the next half-decade.
  8. The team should be even better next season. Further maturation from Mitchell-Ortiz-Turang-Frelick-Perkins-Contreras and especially Chourio, combined with a healthy Woodruff, full seasons from Ashby-Civale, Hoskins another year removed from his knee injury, and a full-offseason to fix their only major weakness, 3B, should lead to one of the best teams in baseball.
  9. The golden age of Brewers fandom is in full swing and not going anywhere but up. Their IFA department has already produced 1 top prospect in baseball and looks like they found another in Jesus Made. I wouldn’t put it past them to find another potential star that can play with Chourio-Made, maybe they already have and it’s Jeferson Quero. The second-youngest team in baseball as it matures will become a force in this game and not just for a little bit either. Add another potentially franchise-altering draft-class in ‘25 to the one they had in ‘23, and the best IFA class in baseball (‘24) and this organization’s farm system should be tops in baseball in short order and sustain the dynasty thru the rest of this decade, possibly longer.
  10. Sign Moncada to a pillow contract or offer up prospects to Arizona for 1 year of Suarez. Both are good defensive 3B, which would probably be a requisite with MKE. I’d probably go the Moncada route. Taking a pillow deal will probably motivate him to get in the BSOHL, and he’s due to have a healthy season after these last couple of years. MKE with a competent 3B will be a serious title contender in 2025.
  11. Feel pretty good about having Made-Pena in my top 5 back when the last prospect rankings were done. Some scouts think Pena is right there with Made as far as a talent is concerned. Impactful talent that can play with Chourio forthcoming.
  12. Time to rest Chourio-Turang-Ortiz-Adames-Contreras. Getting rest to the aforementioned is more important than going all-in towards winning a bye when the real opportunity of them being able to accomplish that is virtually nil because of games back and their schedule the rest of the year.
  13. 92 good to see from Hudson. 27 pitches was not. i guess the team doesn’t think he needs the rest.
  14. Then add a more experienced Ortiz-Mitchell-Frelick for good measure.
  15. Definitely a no for me. I’d prefer investing the $25M/yr into prime-aged talent extensions. Quero-Pratt-Made-Pena come to mind and with this team’s current prospect-procurement abilities, especially internationally, there will be more high-end 21-22 year old talent they will probably want to lock-up thru their prime if able.
  16. Massive development indeed, and not just for the rest of this season and the playoffs, but also next season and beyond. Another offseason past his surgery, and with his current trajectory, I think we see AA in the ‘25 rotation.
  17. Congrats to the Brewers international department for putting together the most talented positional group in team history. Can they acquire another superior class this coming January? With the buzz around Latin America likely generated by their state-of-the-art Dominican Academy, I think it’s not just possible but probable.
  18. Yeah probably not after reading up on his injury history, especially this severe adductor strain suffered this season.
  19. Payne is getting plenty of reps in Arizona playing in unofficial games.
  20. Moncada at a couple million isn’t likely to happen. No idea what his market will be, but I assume it’s well north of that figure. With that being said, a 1 year $10M’ish deal sounds pretty good to me.
  21. Respectfully disagree that Made should be grouped with Lara-YRod. He’s a far superior prospect to either based on his 5-tool talent, EV’s, contact-rate, etc. Sometimes, like Chourio, star players make themselves known as future star players early on, and I think this is where we are with Made. I see Pena as a tick or two behind Made talent-wise, but also a superior prospect to Lara-YRod. I know it’s early with Made, but sometimes the talent is just overwhelming enough to just know a future star is in the making.
  22. Absolutely spot-on post and I couldn’t agree more. This team has as good of a pipeline of prospect talent as there is in this game. having installed a dynamic core of positionals while also building one of the deepest farm systems in baseball, with probably the top teenage talent in the game. Imo, their international department is currently the best in baseball. Their new SOTA Dominican Academy has given them a leg up in Latin America that has/will allow them to sign many of the players their superior scouts want signed. Made-Pena are special talents, with Made a Chourio-like talent according to scouts. This type of international talent procurement is franchise-altering because it gives MKE access to talent only available to teams with the 1st pick or two in the domestic draft. Its not too difficult projecting having 2 superstar players, playing with each-other for 6+ years and what that can do for this franchise, especially with more dynamic, controllable talent playing with them.
  23. Woodward will be a close follow for me with the arsenal he possses. Patience will be required with his likely slow buildup of innings, but he should be worth the wait.
  24. No idea how anyone can be ok with Peguero entering a game with any runner on base in any high leverage situation. He’s been terrible in HL all year. This bullpen has the potential to be so much better without Peguero in it. He’s an easy option along with Hudson, with Yoho & Misiorowski replacing them. This teams best chance to win moving forward is with an overwhelmingly dominant bullpen and Megill-Yoho-Misiorowski should give them that. Hudson is not close to the same pitcher today as he was earlier when he was healthy and rested. Stuff just not as good.
  25. ‘Just Baseball’ is ranking the overall talent of Made, which is immense. 5-tool prospects, regardless of league or age, when they completely dominate their league should be ranked appropriately.
