  1. I wonder if we make Cortes an offer to extend him in spring training . Then id like the deal more. Otherwise I was hoping to trade Devin for more team control. If I knew (for example) we were either keeping Devin or trading him for Cortes I’d rather have Cortes though. I think Durbin is being penciled in for the Mona role and not as a starting if for us. i wonder if we have a 3B man we like on a team that wants a solid starter rental (Civale). That would work for me. Also think there is a strong chance Cortes is worthy of the comp pick offer (better than guys like Pivetta and Nick Ramirez for instance).
  2. IIm coming around to a 3 for 1 with the dodgers for Devin. Seems Gonsolin and Lux could clearly be in the deal as pieces two and three. Add one of these four in order and I probably accept without knowing what these other teams are offering; 1) Bobby Miller /Gonselin /Lux 2) Emmet Sheehan/Gonselin/Lux 3) Knack/Gonselin/Lux 4/Wroblewski/Gonselin/Lux Gonselin was 4+ war in 23 and two years of control. Lux is more or less thrown in to save them some salary and becomes a better Kona station that can play 2b 3B or Ss as our utility guy. Again knowing our community doesn’t want Lux as a main piece, he’d be a throw in here and alleviate some luxury tax from the dodgers while being a roster improvement in the monta role. Give me any one of Miller/Sheehan/Knack/Wroblewski with Gonselin and Lux and it’s a clear good deal for Milwaukee.
  3. Nobody seems to understand Lux is a free throw in with their luxury issues. He is nothing to them but an affordable utility IF for us. Not a part of the deal other than a salary that fills the Montasario role better. Geeze H!
  4. Lackluster response from a poster that rarely dares to offer ideas. You are turning down Bobby Miller, Tony Gonselin, and Gavin Lux for a year of Devin are you? Please expand on your reasoning and what you expect to get for Devin my shrewd brewer fan compadre!
  5. I think it means let’s back out on Crochet and try trade Devin to LA and get two good chance to be starting pitchers from the dodgers that are controllable.
  6. The Dodgers are in tax trouble which is why we could accept guys like Gonsolin and Lux maybe mostly for free. So let’s say Freeland/Gonsolin/Lux for Williams . Or Miller/Gonsolin/Lux for Williams. Or finally Sheehan/Gonsolin/Lux for Williams. one of the three should be accepted.
  7. Did we move up to 20 in the draft or is that where we were supposed to be? Sorry if I’m behind ….
  8. Id be ok with the cubs emptying prospects for Tucker, then trading Bellinger cheaper than they should. They watch Cody outperform Tucker and Cubs stay in. Anonymity.
  9. He’s only controllable for two years but I’d prefer to get him with our best Crochet offer over getting Crochet. I think the right move is to find a good Devin deal though and after that, maybe Mark likes the team outlook enough for us to go hard after someone like Flaherty or Kim and Goldschmidt both. Not the year to deal our prospects for two years of a guy imo though.
  10. Dodger fans like to throw Lux into deals for Devin. Honestly, I’d take the guy as like a throw in to get some salary off the books for them too. I put him in the Monastario role though, not as a penciled in starter. But he’d be a good upgrade from Mona if he’s the third piece. If we can get Sheehan, Gonsolin, and Lux for Devin, I’m willing to not wait for a better offer elsewhere. That deal sets our off season up quite nicely.
  11. Dodger fans wanting Devin seem very willing to include Gonsolin in a deal on Twitter. I know we’d prefer Miller and Sheehan, but would Gonsolin be of interest to brewer fans as part of a Devin package (I mean with him being the second piece of a deal). He was great in 2023 and has two years of control left. Color me intrigued to see if we can get both he and Sheehan in a deal for Devin. What are your thoughts on Gonsolin as “part” of a Devin deal to the dodgers ?
  12. Eh, the brewers kind of offered Sanchez this type contract last year (then adjusted it after determining he was injured). We also gave some guy named Jacob Junis seven million per year who was just some random middle reliever. i don’t see the sky falling with Sanchez getting 8.5 million.
  13. Solid move . Now to figure out a Coby Mayo deal for the brewers…
  14. Turbo I know you hate every idea I have and I am cool beans but with that buddy!
  15. What is your 3B and Tyler black plan than going into the season Walrus?
  16. If Helsey is gonna be held onto by STL, seems is makes Devin that much more valuable. From the Bowden proposal, yeah we don’t want Lux so whatever Bowden values him at, let’s replace that . Id love to deal him to the dodgers but Bobby miller or Sheehan would be my centerpieces however it has to get done. If not those too, either way, I want only pitching coming back from that pitch rich organization. River Ryan, Wroblewski, and Knack for Devin and Perkins for example would be to my liking.
  17. Since they envision him starting, might make Perkins for Baty more realistic .
  18. Is baty for Perkins not fair and right up stearns alley??
  19. Gotchya. I think Hoskins in a contract year is going to do quite well and a sizable improvement over last year, so I am good with 1B as is.
  20. Perkins for Baty might work as Stearns values defense quite highly. That could definitely be a win-win based trade. And absolutely no to Contreras at first. Trade him before moving him to first (but keep him this year and trade him next off season).
  21. I pay the mediocre it takes for baty over bride.
  22. If you believe in Brett Baty and his prospect pedigree, he should be attainable and an easy fit at 3B.
  23. I don’t hate this Toronto deal but I’d prefer Bassitt straight up for Williams or as the main piece. Maybe deal could be expanded to include Tyler black and Horwitz too though.
  24. I brought up Moncada, Polanco, O’Neil, Flaherty. Not huge bank breaking deals in my proposals. I accept your blunt apology kind sir.
