  1. Everyone's excited about Braun, and I am too. I'd like to see JJ and Prince keep up their home run derby this weekend, too.
  2. I too, would probably weep for joy if we landed Ichiro. He's one of my favorite players, and I love his talent and work ethic. If at all possible, I would hope Melvin could make it happen. He's such a talented player, and I think it's time for him to move on from Seattle.
  3. Someone on another board I post on, noted that the Cardinals have three relievers right now with sub-2.00 ERAs. If the Cards are clearly out of it by July, and the Brewers are still at the top of the division, do you think the Cardinals could be a trading partner, despite playing in the same division? If so, what would be some likely trade ideas?
  4. I don't get the comment about Gwynn needing to get extra base hits. Maybe in the role the Brewers are plugging him into, yes. However, he seems to me like a prototypical lead off hitter. He's going to hit singles and use his speed to get on base. The Brewers are using him like a square peg in a round hole, basically.
  5. Agreed. It really isn't that interesting a topic to me. And on last night...Ned Yost really needs to not put Graffy and Counsell in the same lineup any longer. Not that the rest of the team was hitting, but still...
  6. Watch, Cirillo gets the traditional former Brewer booing. OK, hopefully not.
  7. Let's get a win tonight, and make a series win still possible.
  8. Yeah, the Brewers 9-spot has definitely been productive, as far as advancing runners this year. It's nice to see pitchers help themselves out when possible.
  9. I'd do Cain or Rincon for Mench and a lower prospect.
  10. Will people then complain that Melvin never should have let him leave Milwaukee?
  11. I believe this is a winnable series for the Brewers. I think 3-1 is very achievable, but I won't be disappointed if they only take two wins.
  12. Just noticed that the Brewers are the first team to reach 25 wins this season. Neat.
  13. A lot of people in the media, and baseball fans from other markets that I chat with on other boards, are saying that this road trip is going to "prove if the Brewers are legit or not". Like it or not, that is the perception out there, and it would be nice for the Brewers to stay hot right now.
  14. Really want to see Ben Sheets have a dominating game today. He's due for one. I'd also like to see the Brewers score some runs without relying so heavily on the long ball, as they have been lately.
  15. Leinenkugel's Apple Spice Blech...I like most Leinie's, but not that stuff.
  16. Heh, I think that would be legalized theft, given Graffy's offensive numbers this season.
  17. He could at least give a boost to the Brewers bullpen, for sure. I hope Melvin is working on something.
  18. Wish this game was going to be on TV here...guess FSN can't carry every single game, though.
  19. My prediction is that the Brewers will make up for last night's offensive drought, and score at least 8 runs to win. That Nats will score a single run, a fluke solo homer around the 7th inning.
  20. Yeah, I had fun at the game last night as well. Wish there could have been a bigger crowd. I think they announced 17,000 or so. Guess the Brewers just are never going to draw big numbers during weekday night games before the end of May.
  21. Yeah, if the Brewers "only" win 2 of 3, I'll still be quite happy, though I'm pulling for a sweep, of course.
  22. Hall needs to be in the lineup tonight. They need to build on yesterday with him.
  23. I'm going to the game tonight, and definitely looking forward to it. Yesterday's game was a blast, other than the speeding ticket I got on the way to Miller Park :P Go Crew!
  24. I'm going to be at today's game. Looking forward to it.
