  1. I say the Problem is Ortiz at SS. Struggling all season at the plate and even below .200 again as of late (last 15 games) and never even one hit in a playoff game in his whole life. Shortstops are never cheap but you asked for our biggest need.
  2. I'm really surprised there is no mention of the need for a SS, that is #1 in my eyes above all else. Also If were getting rid of Hoskins at the end of the year we will need another 1st baseman anyway. Andrew Vaughn has been remarkable but only 8 at bats has not convinced me of anything just yet. I would leave Durbin alone.
  3. I posted that like 10 days ago "Vaughn looks far better than Hoskins on both offense and defense." So I stand corrected for sure on that call. As for Tyler Black, Hoskins & Mitchell they all should be on the board as trade bait this off season maybe even Perkins also. Instead of us always acquiring injured players maybe we should start trading them. Because the Brewers seem to have a good eye for unrealized talent.
  4. ABS challenge system to be used in All-Star Game July 9th, 2025 Jason Foster Jason Foster @ByJasonFoster Share MLB will feature the use of the automated ball-strike challenge system during Tuesday's All-Star Game at Truist Park in Atlanta. The move to use the ABS system during the All-Star Game comes after positive reception from the fans when the league successfully tested it during this year's Spring Training. MLB has been testing ABS at levels of the Minor Leagues since the 2021 season and ABS has been used in Triple-A games since 2022. 2025 All-Star Game presented by Mastercard • Tuesday, 8 p.m. ET (Watch on FOX) • Special events and ticketing info • All-Star Game rosters • Team-by-team breakdown The All-Star Game will feature the same ABS challenge rules as Spring Training. Each team will get two challenges and can keep them if they're successful. Challenges can only be initiated by a pitcher, catcher or batter, and the request must come right after the pitch. To signal a challenge, the pitcher, catcher or batter will tap his hat or helmet to let the umpire know. No help from the dugout or other players on the field is allowed. 5. My personal opinion on what may happen: With a Murphy quote is about the Joey Ortiz .205 batting average. Pat Murphy said. "I want him to give me his best approach at the plate." More Murphy: "We've given him a lot, and we play him every day, and we need him. He can't just have mental lapses at the plate like that, so he's got to fight through it.
  6. If you remember Hader sucked when we traded him to SD. He also had a 7. plus ERA that season. But yes people were shocked.
  7. Christopher Wayne "Right Hook." Brewers pitching coach I believe is one big reason a rebuilt Quintana is on the upside this season. Communication, Adaptability, Experience.
  8. Story on "Atlanta News First": Even Cavemen knew you don't poop where you drink yet the city of Calhoun, Georgia has contaminated its own drinking water by dumping biosolids called sludge application fields which contain high levels of PFAS or "forever chemicals" onto its own land near its drinking water sources. This practice has resulted in high levels of PFAS being detected in the city's own drinking water and one of the highest cancer rates in the country.
  9. At least he's off to a good start with the Brewers, 2 for 5 and 2 walks so far. That kind of tells me he doesn't swing at balls.
  10. I would be elated with Vaughn if he could carry a .240 avg the rest of the season with some power.
  11. Cranky Old Man Murphy's lineup making Kershaw yell at his teammates. 2 runs for the Brewer lead. One more inning for Kershaw then he's cooked.
  12. Braylon Payne is considered one of the fastest players in the Milwaukee Brewers' minor league system. Elite Speed: Payne's speed is a standout tool. He's been graded as a 70-grade runner on the 20-80 scouting scale by MLB Pipeline. Fastest in the System?: Some reports even suggest he might be the fastest player in the entire Brewers system. Proof in Action: He has demonstrated his speed with aggressive base running and a successful start to his professional career with four steals in five attempts. Game-Changing Talent: His speed allows him to be a strong defensive center fielder, cover ground effectively, and be a threat on the basepaths.
  13. Koenig has been ass lately. Worse than anyone else mentioned unless there is an arm issue with someone else.
