  1. Anyone else get a little scared when Braun slid late into second? Thought he was gonna pull a Jenkins there.
  2. Here's my attempt at positive spin, new territory for me. I look at this as a chance to get someone in that 5th spot so Estrada can come back to the pen. The lack of middle relief options has been a killer.
  3. Send Posey a bill for scoreboard repair. Scratch that. Send it to Marcum for throwing BP up there.
  4. Let's get to 14 innings and bring in the worst reliever in the pen. Could be fun, right?
  5. Loe I can understand not using, but Dillard threw 8 stinking pitches yesterday. Perez makes no sense.
  6. One has to wonder what Lou Palsmo thinks about this.
  7. That $18M will be a big help. Kind of an awkward name. Surprised they didn't go with something like "BMO Harris Arena at Bradley Center."
  8. That is a little strange, don't quite get it either. The only thing I can think of is the high expectations when he came up, followed by his first few years when he seemed to be either injured or making an error at 2B. Personally, I think it's bull, but maybe people still hang on to that?
  9. I don't know. The only lineup I've found for the Twins so far has Brian Duensing pitching instead. We have to leave for Milwaukee soon so I can't search for confirmation much longer. Duensing pitched an inning in relief yesterday, so I'd have to think Marquis is starting.
  10. See, I think this is a big problem. Of course Rickie is going to want to play every day and work out of it. What athlete wouldn't. That better be a one-sided "discussion." Ron, you're the manager. If he's hurting the lineup, sit him. It's YOUR call.
  11. For funsies, I like watching my team make a crap ton of needless outs at home plate.
  12. Considering there's a AAA team playing in Milwaukee right now, maybe we can fashion a Major League team between the A's and Brewers...
  13. Was at the game yesterday... did I miss something with K-Rod? Was he not available? As much as he's struggled, I'd still rather have him in the 8th in a 3-2 game than Manny.
  14. Ken Rosenthal tweeted that the initial X-rays were negative. Day to day.
  15. 13 inning games are brutal on the liver. Holy hangover. ----- Continued here: viewtopic.php?f=67&t=30537
  16. Not much Ax could have done. He made good pitches. I want to know who strapped the piano on Hart's back. No excuse for the guy scoring from first on that ball.
