  1. What are the actual chances of him actually being 16 years old?
  2. The Toby/Katuluu season series is now even at 47 a piece.
  3. Please move all conversation to the existing 5-page Sabathia thread in the trade rumors forum.
  4. Any object can be used as a weapon if it's thrown hard enough.
  5. I've got a BS in a related area, so if they're not related to your specific degree, I can answer questions for you.
  6. He's only 24, he's got amazing stuff, and he won't be a FA until after 2010. He seems to have worked through his depression issues as well.
  7. Don't you think you're exaggerating quite a bit here?
  8. You're talking about the trade then, and I'm talking about it now. That's why I said that it turned out to be a stinker, not was one at the time. Part of grading trades, at least in my opinion, is how the evaluation of the talent worked out in the end. That's how you ultimately evaluate a GM being a judge of talent. I very much disagree. Part of the attraction of trading for Linebrink was getting a pair of high draft picks if he walked. And if you're looking at the trade so far (instead of "2030"), what have Inman, Garrison and Thatcher done to make the deal a fleecing?
  9. I'll 2nd Governor Dodge ... been there two times already this summer. It's about a 2 hour drive.
  10. The Arizona deal turned out to be a stinker, but how can you possibly judge the Padres deals without seeing what the comp picks turn into?
  11. Nelson has very little defensive flexibility, which is a bad thing for a bench player.
  12. How does that trade benefit the Nationals?
  13. I do like the image, but honestly, I think message boards that allow image sigs look like plates of hurl.
  14. Look what was traded for Johan Santana and Dan Haren ... Dunno, I think the days of the sellers gouging the buyers are ending.
  15. Actually, Ash doesn't seem happy about it:
  16. To be fair, I'd think that most of Houston's fans would like to have had the chance to choke Ed Wade as well. But seriously, he's lucky he's not in jail.
  17. An ACL replacement isn't like a rotator cuff or something like that... The instant you have your ACL replaced, the only thing that's keeping you out of action are your range of motion and your tolerance of pain. Now, I'm not saying he needed to be carted out of the operating room and onto the mound, but he's not going to wreck something else as a result of coming back too soon (except perhaps his career ERA)
  18. Oh geez, I almost forgot: http://www.collegenews.com/newsimages/img47bb0df955ab6.jpg
  19. I got Jim this company car last year: http://images.yuku.com/image/jpeg/3c02565414979db54c81ed814b5c286e8b7043c.jpg I'll have to buy him the Sirius subscription separately, I guess.
  20. This reminds me of this thread. I'm not normally one to call people out, but initial post was so snarky that the thread immediately popped into my head.
  21. link When you rush out to buy your Lamborghini (I'm buying 2), make sure you tell them that you heard about the deal on brewerfan!
  22. http://www.magesy.com/uploads/posts/2008-04/thumbs/1207602066_estelle_shine.jpg Although admittedly, the best song really isn't on the album (the version of "American Boy" that doesn't have Kanye West on it):
  23. If someone's going to throw gobs of money at him ala Carlos Lee, there's nothing that you can do about it, and in my opinion, nothing you should do about it. I don't see why the club needsto spend money on an "ace". I'd rather go get a pair of "#2-esque" pitchers, and mitigate the risk.
  24. ">" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="425" height="344" allowScriptAccess="never" >
  25. He doesn't really need the minor league salary. He'll either wait until another team gets desperate, or he'll hang it up.
